I’m not sure what is going on but my appetite is through the roof! It’s the strongest it’s been in months. I’m a snack monster! I have healthy snacks but I want to eat too much of them. I really want to get down to 190 this month as that is my next milestone.

Hi all, I'm glad to be back for another month of this great challenge, thanks so much @jm216
I really want to ramp up my efforts this month and try and make some headway, as I've been slacking the last few months and trudging along. My birthday at the end of August is my target to get my trend weight to 140lbs, which is 6.4lbs away, so I need to FOCUS! I have a trip away for the last 9 days of this month so my challenge is to try to get to 144lbs by then, 1.6lbs in 20 days. It's going to be tough, my body can be very stubborn when it comes to weight loss, but I'm going to try and hit my goals every day.

I'm Lisa. I am 57, 5'5", and just coming down from my highest weight ever at 212. I was only there for a fleeting moment, but a moment nonetheless. And that "moment" put me in the Obese Class II category....what a wake-up call!! I live in southern Ontario, have been married for 31 years and we have a family farm supply business that I work at very, very part time, filing invoices and stuffing monthly statements. We have two grown sons; The oldest, 29, works at the family business and lives here in town. He has a lovely girlfriend, but they haven't been dating that long, so no grand kids yet. The youngest, 27, is currently single and lives in Prague, CZ. He is coming home in July for three weeks for a family wedding!!
My goals for June are to continue to log daily and walk often and to get my house in order for my son's extended visit!
May weight loss: 9.8 pounds

Hi, Everyone! I am a 5'4", 45 year-old married female with four kids. I am a two-time cancer survivor, which put me into Early Menopause, and also have Hypothyroidism. Nothing has been consistent in my life for a while now and it is reflecting on the scale.

I was let go from my job yesterday. My bff at work, who is the business manager, had been warning us on the DL for several weeks that the owner had mismanaged funds and was making poor decisions. I should have known this was coming, since my six-month mark was coming where I was to receive a substantial raise. A promotion that I had worked so very hard to achieve. I was told that they are "restructuring" and my position was being eliminated, so I would be eligible for unemployment. Unemployment is not going to cover our bills while my husband is recovering from his cervical spine fusion surgery. I am trying to embrace that this will be a good thing in the long run, but I am so going to so miss the clients that I never had the chance to say goodbye to, the type of law I was doing, and my fabulous co-workers. We really were a great team who could have done so much together.
I am an emotional eater with binging tendencies, but I was so sick on my stomach yesterday that I could not eat anything. My kids are home on summer vacation, the house needs some cleaning, the yard needs some weeding, and there's other jobs out there somewhere. A lot of positives can be made out of this.7 -
Enough about me. Is your knee still hurting, @HASWLRS? I ask because I thought I had hurt my knees during my "Covid" walks when I was pushing myself hard, but I had actually torn a little bit of my lower hamstring. By the time I went into ortho, it had healed but was very tight and I went through a few weeks of PT to stretch it.
@jm216 - Thank you so much for sharing the puppy pictures! The sweetness touches my heart!1 -

@BittersweetVita I am so sorry that you were let go from your job. However, I love your mindset. Yes, there are other jobs out there. Now go get one that is even better than the last!! And well done on not reaching for food in that moment. (hugs)
My knee is better than Friday, but still tender. Thank you for asking. And yes, regardless of what I have exactly done to it, stretching would indeed help!1 -
