06/14-194.0-(Trend Weight 195.8)- I almost always do better when I’m not traveling, stay at home and cook my own meals. It’s not always possible, but I’ve got to take advantage of it when I can. My glucose was up to 225 today for no apparent reason. My meals were good and my carbs were within the lower range that I want. I don’t get it, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Losing any weight is impossible when it goes up like that. Uphill anyone?

06/15-196.4-(Trend Weight 195.8)- Amazing that I can gain 2 Β½ lbs just from eating Pizza at a family outing at the pizzeria. But sometimes I can drop one or even (occasionally) 2 pounds overnight if it’s just water retention. But I don’t have the waterpill anymore to help so hopefully the old ticker can push it all through in the next day or two. I’m planning lots of water today and an especially low carb menu for the day.

@Buckeyebabe7l7 It looks like you need to up your step goal. Your crushing it!! I think I'm going to copy your logging next month instead of looking at the scale everyday!

I have been thinking that too. Next month I will probably adjust my goals. 😊 I can't weigh myself everyday...it messes with my head too much and I can't focus on just doing what I need to everyday. It's always nice at the end of the week to see the progress I have made.

Hi all, I'm glad to be back for another month of this great challenge, thanks so much @jm216

I really want to ramp up my efforts this month and try and make some headway, as I've been slacking the last few months and trudging along. My birthday at the end of August is my target to get my trend weight to 140lbs, which is 6.4lbs away, so I need to FOCUS! I have a trip away for the last 9 days of this month so my challenge is to try to get to 144lbs by then, 1.6lbs in 20 days. It's going to be tough, my body can be very stubborn when it comes to weight loss, but I'm going to try and hit my goals every day.

Jun 16 - 189.6 😁 Made it there. Hoping I can keep it there; It's going to be a challenging couple of days. Having lunch with my old work buddies today, then my daughter is coming over tonight to take us out to dinner to celebrate Father's day. Two outings in one day! We'll probably go out for breakfast on Saturday too before she goes back home. I'm going to have a good time, but hopefully make some wise choices and get a walk in before and after my lunch date.

    @ddainiak Congratulations Darlene!!!!! Woohoo πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ

I will have another busy weekend. Today I will be going out with a couple of my SIL's and daughters to a winery for dinner and wine sampling. Should be a lot of fun. Then Saturday is my niece's wedding so dancing is in the cards and you add a little alcohol....I should put on a good show for the whole reception! 😜 Finally, Sunday is Father's Day and we will be having a pool party here. I don't expect to lose anything this weekend but hopefully I won't gain anything. I intend to enjoy the weekend and not stress over my weight.

I’ve added an extra spoiler to the top of my posts to track my progress since the beginning of this challenge way back in #1. Cold here the last couple of days. I’ve had to keep the heat on in the house, but finally some serious rain today which was badly needed.

06/16-195.4-(Trend Weight 195.8)- One pound down from the 2.5 lbs gained from the Pizza outing. I’ve pre-logged my food for the day which helps to keep my macros good, but it also helps me to overlook my choices to see if they will be healthy or beneficial in other ways besides satiety. I plan on getting some housecleaning done today which should help burn some calories. I babysit tomorrow and that always means lots of stairs as he plays mainly upstairs in his bedroom/playroom. So hopefully I will get in some better movement over the next couple of days as I’ve been very Lazy (with a capital L).

Hello, I'm Darlene. I'm 62. I Married, and have one kid (28) and one pup (Monty), no grandkids. I have been retired since 2020. My husband was retired, but returned to work in January. I vowed to take this year to lose weight, get healthy, give up some bad habits, exercise, read more, etc. Back again this month! Thanks again Jill!

    Feb Loss - 5 pounds
    March Loss - 5 Pounds
    April Loss - 8 Pounds
    May Loss - 5.2 Pounds
    May Ending weight: 194.8
Total weight lost to date: 32.2 Pounds
Goal Weight - 160 (May change as I get closer)

June 1 - 194.4 - My lowest weight in May was 194.2 - so not cheering yet.
    June 2 - 194 😁
    June 3 - 193.2 😁
June 4 - 193 😁 - Very happy with this, went out for lunch yesterday, so expected to see a rise!
    June 5 - 192.6 😁
    June 6 - 191.6 😁
    June 7 - 191.6 :|
    Junr 8 - 191 😁 Don't know it's happening, but I'll take it while it lasts.
    June 9 - 191.8 ☹️ I guess I shouldn't be that unhappy - I had a lot of smiles lately.
Jun 10 - 192.8 ☹️ Took the day off yesterday. First day since Mid March that I was over my calorie limit. The old me would say - "You go off your diet one day and you gain it all back; why bother"; the new me says "Let's hit the next fitbit badge today to make up for it". Woke up early - got a mile on the treadmill. Hoping I can beat my "best in a day" today and get that next badge.
Jun 11 - 192.8 😁 Well got that badge yesterday; 25,789 steps! My goal is to only use 1/2 of calories gained by exercise, did that. Drank all my water. I also rmet the 1,000 miles in 2023 milestone. I will be over halfway there today. So, I took a smile today. Somethings gotta happen! Maybe there will be a big swish tomorrow.
Jun 12 - :| 192.4 Not a big swish, but at least I'm down from yesterday.
Jun 13 - 191.8 :| Making my way back slowly but surely.
    Jun 14 - 191.6
    Jun 15 - 191.2
Jun 16 - 189.6 😁 Made it there. Hoping I can keep it there; It's going to be a challenging couple of days. Having lunch with my old work buddies today, then my daughter is coming over tonight to take us out to dinner to celebrate Father's day. Two outings in one day! We'll probably go out for breakfast on Saturday too before she goes back home. I'm going to have a good time, but hopefully make some wise choices and get a walk in before and after my lunch date.
Jun 17 - 191 - Well is was a short stay, but hoping to relocate there for a longer stay this week! It is what I expected, so not disappointed. Had a wonderful day visiting my old work friends. They are all still there; reminded me how fortunate I am to have retired (they ciomplained a lot - LOL). Then had a nice dinner with my daughter and hubby. He decided he wanted to eat in, get pizza. She made a great dessert. I did stay within my calorie limit all day, but the sodium levels from lunch and pizza werre off the charts. Out for breakfast this morning to Hubby's favorite breakfast spot, then I'm back to the grindstone.

    1: 198.8 Happy June 1st!!
    2: 199.4
    3: 197.8
    4: 197.5
    5: 198.7
    6: 198.5
    7: 198.2
8: 199.1- busy week. Had the roof of our house replaced, had our facia boards wrapped in aluminum to keep the carpenter bees away… and getting new gutters this Tuesday. Luckily it was all hands on deck with the puppies. My son had to carry Nova outside over the roof debris to use the bathroom. She’s getting so big!!
    9: 198.5
    10: 198.1
    11: 198.4
12: 199.4…time to stop the creep back. My Father-in-Law’s 85th celebration was great. He is currently building a canoe in his workshop. I just love how active he is. I overindulged in cookies and birthday cake though and tonight we’re having a work dinner at a restaurant in Ann Arbor. I just have to keep it in check. No alcohol tonight since I’m such a light weight with drinks and I have a 45-60 minute drive home. Plus, alcohol makes me sleepy. Happy Monday!
13: 199.5… no alcohol last night and was home by 9:30pm. Today I’m playing with my new hedge trimmers…. I should have taken a before picture!
    14: 199.4 😁
    15: 200.6
    16: 201.0
17: 200.6… yes, I’m back into the 200’s but just barely… I’m not too worried… just have to keep Golden Oreos out of the house!!
