    10/30-183.0-(Trend Weight: 185.2)- One dinner out this week set me back but I’ve recovered. Today I am at my lowest weight since 2018. I know I have a long way to go yet but I’m proud that I am overcoming so much. The greatest part is that my morning fasting numbers for my diabetes are improving tremendously. That alone helps a lot in the weight loss because of the physiology of Type 2 Diabetes. But it works both ways. My numbers going up makes losing weight almost impossible physically so I need to keep that in mind going forward. The closer I get to goal, the better my glucose is running. I am getting healthier!

    Weight loss is not linear. It's not just you :) I find it helps to focus on consistency in my behavior (eating right, exercising & taking time to recover, getting enough water & sleep, reducing stress). When I'm doing everything I can to make progress, progress will come. It will never be a straight line, but it'll happen in time. Don't get hung up on the numbers you see on the scale.

    Happy with the results, stayed consistent weekly with the weight loss. Increased protein, cut back more on carbs. Increased strength training to three days per week, cardio/pickleball three days per week.

    Looks like you were holding onto some water weight. I have seen dips of 3-4lbs in a day for me, and women are more prone to holding onto water. I'd just make sure you're drinking a lot of water, and not going too far over your sodium limit. But great job overall!

    Thanks @takinitalloff and @evileyefirefly. I'm going to put less stock in what's on the scale and more stock in how I'm feeling day-to-day. Also watch my sodium intake which has not been a priority. Have to remember this is a marathon, not a sprint :smile:

    Unfortunately, I have had back to back travel situations for work, and it’s hard to stay consistent with a specific meal plan and/or working out when that happens. This is the first time during these challenges that I actually gained weight. It’s crazy because there’s a small part of me that feels like giving up. However, I am talking myself into keep pushing forward, and I know that this is a lifestyle change. I am going forward.

    Hi. Another tough week where I struggled. I’m having a difficult time eating right. The level of stress at work is debilitating. I tend to eat my stress. I really have to dail it back, and learn to put myself first. I’m always been really bad at that. Everyone else’s needs seem to come ahead of my own, and I know it shouldn’t be. I am disappointed at myself for letting it happen. I’m going to make sure I log my foods. I haven’t been doing that lately. Next week will be better. Onward and upward…goal wise, not scale wise. Lol.

    @evileyefirefly I agree with you. You can’t deprive yourself for life. And this weight management thing is very much a life long marathon, not a sprint. That said, The problem is that once I taste sugar, it makes me crave it more. I think that’s what sugar is designed to do. What should be a very sporadic thing, turns into a regular thing. I’ve never been able to find that happy medium. I’m better off not having it at all, at least for now, until I can manage the craving better. Thanks for your feedback.
