Last summer I weighed in at 365 and finally said now or never. Sunday is my 1 year anniversary of joining myfitnesspal and starting to get fit, and I'm at 266 lb today. Mini goal is to lose the 100th pound by then, and 5 more by thanksgiving. Pretty exciting and very motivating. Not stopping till I'm half the man I used to be.26

Seriously re-started my journey on August 29, 2023. Short-term goal is to lose a total of 60 pounds by the end of the year. Right now, I'm down 44 from my highest weight in March of 2023.
Mid-range goal is to be able to play a round of golf with my 18 yr-old son while on vacation this summer without my knees and back throbbing in pain and without being so out of breath I feel lightheaded.9 -

Truely amazing!

Just staying on track. I lost over 40 pounds a year ago and gained it all back plus more. I started my journey over again 3 days ago. I've been really fighting the urge to binge. So far I've managed to overcome the feeling. My goal is to get through this first week successfully. For me the first week is the hardest.11

100% agree. You can do this. You've done it before. This time we're not going to give up. If we mess up, we start up right away. WE CAN DO THIS!!!6 -
I would like to only have energy drinks on road trips and not keep soda in the house. I would like to stop adding a certain artificial sugar to my foods and drinks, which shouldn't be too hard because we ran out. I would like to do a decent amount of walking on my treadmill.9

I am at my highest weight ever and bouncing back from some health and personal setbacks. My mini-goal is just to log in every day and track my food for 2 weeks. No guilt - no shame - just track and be kind to myself. I did not get here overnight and I am not going to punish myself into getting into smaller pants. I want to just show myself more love and see what happens from there.14

Good for you for working to take back control! I think you will find that starting slow, with your only expectation being to be accountable to yourself, will make you feel so good!
Go, girl! 💕

Complete! Yay!!! My stomach is slowly but steadily getting rid of the mama pouch. New mini goal --- repeat the same 30 day program. Looking forward to seeing what another 30 days difference can make. But I've got to stick to this mini goal!
Complete again!!!! Yayyyyy!!!! New mini goal: do it again!!!! 30 days are a time. I think I might actually see abs in a month or two if I keep this up! Also, another new mini goal is to NOT step on a scale or log food for one week. I'm finding I'm being a bit obsessive with the scale. This may be harder than exercising unfortunately.

Other than getting out of bed (very ill kitty keeps me up off and on all night and day this week), I am trying to keep filling in diary here (rejoined this week and always looking for pleasant no-drama friends). I try to do at least enough elliptical underdesk legs and arm bike to keep the core strength going. Oh, and drinking enough water to do okay. Grammar has already gone by the wayside!7

Well 7 weeks left and I’m I’m down 2.4 kgs with 2.6 to go to meet my goal. It will certainly make xmas day swimming more comfortable having lost some more weight 😊

I'm just starting to switch over to my summer clothes (Aussie summer). I picked out a favourite work blouse and discovered it no longer fits - the sleeves are far too tight.
So my mini goal is to fit back into that blouse!12 -
I have a 6 month follow up with my Dr on December 15th. I'm hoping to be under 200 pounds at that appointment. It will be almost exactly 6 months from the last one and I was at 250 then. Currently at 214.15

I want to be able to walk a mile in 20 minutes on the treadmill I recently started using. I'm almost there!10

I'm going to stick with the calorie counting for a few months and see how I go. I keep giving up when the scales flucuate or my eating doesn't go to plan. I've had a specific weight I've wanted to hit but I've been hovering above it for a long time. I stopped tracking for a month or so because I was so fed up and have put on about 3kg. I'm going to try and eat the same things during the week and see if it makes it easier to stick to a calorie budget and try not to drink my calories. I sometimes have six or eight cups of tea or coffee a day and the amount of milk I use makes it hard to stay on track.8

I did a two week high protein liver cleansing diet (like the one pre-op for weight loss surgery). My original goal was to do it for 2 weeks, while checking in daily to see how I felt. I've felt great! so I've kept going - I'm on day 14. I'm tracking what I eat - about 90 g of protein a day and under 50 g of carbs. I'm making a list of other things that make me happy and I'm focusing on self-care. So far I've bought myself some new clothes a size smaller (while Christmas shopping for others), had a professional wax, and made an appointment to get my hair done with a woman who specializes in blondes (my hair color). For the first time ever, I feel like I may be on the way to breaking my lifelong emotional eating habits. BTW I'm not weighing myself - just tracking what I eat, focusing on how I feel and using the mirror and fit/look of clothes as check ins. Since I'm comfortably down one size, I guesstimate that I've lost 8-10 lbs.9

Loss an additional 13 pounds by end of year. Already lost 14.13
-
Make healthy lunches so I have more calories to spend later in the day8
-
2.6kg to go to be under 100kg... Hoping to reach it before the end of the year!10
-
I'm only half a kilogram away from being under 80kg. So close.11
-
Just going for at least a 10-minute walk every day.6

-
My mini goal is to start losing consistently. Doesn't matter how much just for the scale to start going down and my energy going up.6

260 today, both goals met. Feeling real good. I'm going to try to maintain my good habits between all the social events but enjoy food and drink through the month. If I come out of New year's at the same weight I'll consider that a success.
Happy holidays to everyone and stay strong! But don't beat yourself up if you slip, just start again. It's never over, never too late.11 -
Getting out of (and staying out of) the 180’s. I’ve been in the 180’s since July - bouncing up and down. This morning’s weight is still at 180.4. I have been at this weight all week. Daily weigh-ins placed in Happy Scale reflect that I am trending down.6
