Good morning,
Just restarting MFP. Looking for a group to commit to. I’ve lost over 40 lbs but they are starting to creep back on. Not sure how to really use this forum, any suggestions4 -
I am a 5'3" retiree and started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is 145.
Highest weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs
Previous weight as of Oct 27: 156.7
Nov 4: 156.5
Glad to see so many joining us for this round! Thank you once again @RubyRed427 for setting this up.
Have a great week!
Challenge Goal: 3 lbs (153.5)
Challenge Actual: .2 lbs4 -
Thank you Ruby for continuing this challenge.
So some of you know I took Wegovy from April 1 through the end of August, so 5 months. I lost 21 lbs then went off of it. I never intended to stay on it long term. It is wildly expensive and also, you know, its a drug I probably don't need.
I have gained back 2.6 lbs which is really not bad considering the horror stories I heard when some people go off it and gain it all back.
I have given up alcohol which I think is keeping it in check. Alcohol, plus the mindless snacking that accompanies that. I am trying to get my 10 k steps in every day too.
Won't we all be happy come the new year that we started our weight loss journeys early? I know I am!
Best of luck to all!6 -

We will go to London in 1 month to visit our daughter that we haven't seen in 2 years. This is motivating both me and my husband to be and look our best. We do not want to scare her by looking old and unhealthy! WIth this in mind, I am trying to make good food choices and walking every day as I know we will be walking all over London and I do not want to get tired.

LW 149ish?
CW (current weight) 151.8
I would like to be 150 or less when we go. This sounds doable as long as I continue to walk and exercise portion control.3 -

Low carb eating is working. My hubby and I are being consistent and cut out all wine; we used to drink 6 bottles altogether (each week). That's a lot of sugar. I have cut out snacks like chips and popcorn. All day I used to snack at work. I was craving salt. I still get the salt fix from cheese, mini smokies, bacon and things like that. We are eating veggies with every meal.

11/01-181.2-(Trend Weight: 184.5)- I have not eaten even one piece of the leftover Halloween candy. I say that with chest puffed out, proudly. That is because I am an addict and chocolate is my drug of choice. If it makes it until Friday 5:00 pm in this house, it will go to my teenaged grandchildren I will be seeing then. Good luck everyone this challenge and this month!
11/07-183.6-(Trend Weight: 184.3)- ) Scale weight is up from last week but trend weight is down. I guess that best shows how the week went, pretty up & down due to travel and a family birthday. I’m back on top of things now that I’m in my “safe space” – Home. Someday I hope to transfer all my good habits to everywhere I am, even when the choices are limited. I throw it all out the window way too easily I think.

Weight loss contest
Sherri from BC.
Start weight 192 lbs
3 month goal 175 lbs
Feb holiday goal 170lbs.
Final goal 150 lbs
I think 10lbs loss is reasonable for me during this holiday season.
Last weigh in Sept 25 183.4
First weigh in Nov. 7 185.4
This is going to be a challenging few months with Christmas parties, cookie baking chocolates and of course Christmas dinner.
I will definitely have to start tracking my food and trying to get in some exercise besides just walking at work.

Best wishes to you and your journey
Today is a restart for me after yesterday's episode of losing ALL abstinence after a sweet treat. so to my day's menu it's extra water and veggies.
This afternoon, I will be helping a girlfriend make a slip knot necklace for her DIL. Found this instructional video so it will make our get-together easier. I did 40 inches of twine but before she gets here I will try 50 inches

Time to go
Have a wonderful day,

Hi friends,
Welcome to everyone!! We're 10 days into November. It will be so rewarding to be on this challenge during the holidays! We will be ahead of the crowd come January.
I'm doing well with low carb. After a few days, the brain has adjusted and does not crave any sugar. Sticking with gin/sugar free tonic instead of wine. That seems to be working. And I crave much less booze because it has no sugar. Phew- that's a plus.
When we go out to eat, we usually have ribs, wings, salad with bleu cheese, veggie dish.... Once in awhile we are eating sweet potato. We cut it up. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika and garlic salt and bake it at 400 degrees for 30 min or less. It is so tasty.
I think what's helping me immensely is that I'm on this journey with my husband. It is easier to stick with a plan with a supportive partner.
We do allow ourselves a cheat day- Saturdays. But we don't go overboard with carbs just split a bottle of wine.

We went grocery shopping. We did not buy any low carb gimmick foods like Atkins snacks. We just bought wholesome food including some nuts which we're careful not to eat too much.
I feel my face is less puffy, my belly less puffy, less carb cravings....
This is what I feel too. Less carb makes my face less puffy, my belly less bloated.
Making a list of what we can (and should) eat, and buying only those things is the best way to eat nutritious food.
I am also trying to do the same (of eliminating unhealthy food). Thanks for sharing this.4 -
Morning mates
Ruby and @jyoti_0 best wishes with low glycemic
I need to revisit the less carbs. Thanks for the incentive
Also I'll be passing on the idea for replacing wine with gin/sugar free tonic 👍
Yesterday was a 14K step day
And at the gym my coach said I should try weighted walking
And on the days at the gym I can also count that as a 3K session
Best wishes to ALL

Yes, I use a grocery list pad from TJMaxx ( I also saw it on Amazon). The grocery list pad has only KETO friendly foods listed.
