I did a two week high protein liver cleansing diet (like the one pre-op for weight loss surgery). My original goal was to do it for 2 weeks, while checking in daily to see how I felt. I've felt great! so I've kept going - I'm on day 14. I'm tracking what I eat - about 90 g of protein a day and under 50 g of carbs. I'm making a list of other things that make me happy and I'm focusing on self-care. So far I've bought myself some new clothes a size smaller (while Christmas shopping for others), had a professional wax, and made an appointment to get my hair done with a woman who specializes in blondes (my hair color). For the first time ever, I feel like I may be on the way to breaking my lifelong emotional eating habits. BTW I'm not weighing myself - just tracking what I eat, focusing on how I feel and using the mirror and fit/look of clothes as check ins. Since I'm comfortably down one size, I guesstimate that I've lost 8-10 lbs.9

I'm only half a kilogram away from being under 80kg. So close.11

Just going for at least a 10-minute walk every day.6

My mini goal is to start losing consistently. Doesn't matter how much just for the scale to start going down and my energy going up.6

Mini goal is to lose the 100th pound by then, and 5 more by thanksgiving. Pretty exciting and very motivating. Not stopping till I'm half the man I used to be.
260 today, both goals met. Feeling real good. I'm going to try to maintain my good habits between all the social events but enjoy food and drink through the month. If I come out of New year's at the same weight I'll consider that a success.
Happy holidays to everyone and stay strong! But don't beat yourself up if you slip, just start again. It's never over, never too late.11 -
Getting out of (and staying out of) the 180’s. I’ve been in the 180’s since July - bouncing up and down. This morning’s weight is still at 180.4. I have been at this weight all week. Daily weigh-ins placed in Happy Scale reflect that I am trending down.6

To wear my new prescription glasses at least an hour per day every day. Wore glasses for 15 years as a kid before getting PRK surgery; lived without glasses for 17 years before eye doc said it's time to go back. Partly me not wearing them is a mental thing, getting back used to the idea of wearing glasses; partly it's because they are trifocals with a bit of stigmatism correction, which makes me slightly queasy after a while. I'm sure eventually I'll be used to them again, I just have to ease back in.10

My very mini Mini-Goal: To track all of my food and exercise for one week. My big picture goal is to reduce my A1c by reducing my weight. But right now I'm not trying to reach any goals other than tracking. When I track, I naturally make better movement and dietary choices without even thinking about it. But doing something out of habit, like tracking, is very hard for me.16

To get my muscle-tone back. Stopped lifting regularly two years ago after surgery and haven't gotten back into it. Poor muscle tone is leading to postural issues, so I've got to get back to it somehow. Trying to add in at least some pilates 5 days a week.14

My next vacation is in February. My boyfriend and I are going to NYC. I want to be down another 10 pounds14

I've been consistently increasing weight over time at the gym, and I'm surprised at how strong I'm getting. My mini goal is to do three leg pullups while hanging onto the bar. When I started seven months ago I had zero grip strength and could only hold on for on second. I did two the last time I tried. As for diet I'm trying to consistently stay under 20 g carbs per day to get back into ketosis.7

I had breast cancer a few years ago. I am trying to get down to 160 to 165 pounds to make the breast replacement surgery easier for the surgeon. I am already down to 175!18

My mini goal is to reach 200 lbs.
I’m about 54 lbs down and I have about 17lbs left to go, so I’m 3/4 of the way there! I expect to reach this goal by late January.15 -
Getting out my box of small clothes that i had vacuum sealed inside of the attic a few months ago. I was under the impression that they would be locked away for quite sometime but due to circumstances they may be available much sooner than anticipated14

I have finally hit 159! Down from 183, another 6 lbs to my end of year goal.15
