RubyRed427 wrote: »I'm a little quiet these days. I am consumed with helping my husband recover from surgery. I took a leave from work for 8 days and hope I can get back to work after that.
The positive side: it is nice to be home all day long.
Cons: Watching someone you love suffer in pain.
I'll get back on track when he is better; I hope in a week or two.
I have been feeding my stress with Chex Mix. Terrible coping idea- but I will give myself a break.
I'm still reading the posts each day.
@RubyRed427 Wishing your husband a pain-free speedy recovery. I hope you will find peace in knowing how much you are helping him.3 -

Go ahead they said "lose 15 pounds" they said. "It'll be easy".
I was traveling by car (4500 miles) for the last week 12/3-12/10. So not much chance for exercise and a little more of a challenge to "be good". Regardless, it was a great week and much was accomplished. I'm still here!

Phew! I was very worried that I would gain this week. I have gotten off my food routine of low carb and had some salty snacks here and there. But happily it didn't hurt my weight. Now, back on track with stricter low carb mentality. I'm still home with husband due to his surgery; he needs my help. to do anything. Going to work in a few days though. Can't take that much time off.
We have been avoiding all sugary treats despite our craving for chocolate.

Round one I succeded on passing by that candy and ate the nuts and veggie straws. well on 12/9 more candy was bought by the sweet tooth in the house which was a bag of 26 reeses peanut butter cups were bought . I had two on 12/9 but on 12/11 I had 7 of them!!! They are all gone now. I am not the one buying the candy but HARD to resist, especially when the candy keeps on coming into the house. 12/01-181.4-(Trend Weight: 181.9)-
12/05-180.6-(Trend Weight: 181.7)- My goal today is to not self-sabotage. I will be home all day due to this horrible chest cold that just isn’t giving me any breaks. There is no excuse for me not to stick to my eating plan. My appetite is not being affected whatsoever so the battle rages on! Exercise, however, is still tough because I’m so weak. I have tested Covid Negative twice now. Yesterday I was finally able to at least get on the exercise bike for a leisurely stroll. I’ve pre-logged my food so I think I’ll be okay. I really need to dip back down into the 170’s so that all progress is not lost. I’m very focused and very close……
12/12-178.2-(Trend Weight: 180.3)- Being anywhere in the 178 bracket has brought me to my lowest weight in 5 ½ yrs and has put my BMI from Obese to Overweight. It’s been a very long road to get where I am now and there is still so much road ahead of me, but I feel strong and able and equipped. Okay, so there’s the holiday, the baking, the shopping/restaurant excursions to contend with, but I got this. No matter what (or when) I’m still going to get to my destination. Destination Health and Happiness.

I've been eating much closer to TDEE than I usually do so I'm totally surprised to see a loss.
I'll be doing a lot of baking next week and it'll be a challenge to avoid sampling the goodies. I will be so happy to just maintain through the new year.
Have a great week!
