Just wanted to share. Bottom photo I posted earlier in this round- Showing off our sandy river beach, makes for a fun walk… (no snow shoes needed). Top photo from my walk today - a raging flood covering the entire park. Such crazy weather on this round. I’m hoping R249 cooperates so we can all enjoy the outdoors!

SW RND 248 236.2
1/17 233 / Yesterday wasn't everything that I was hoping for it to be thanks to some unexpected news at night, but I stayed the course and didn't eat my feelings and it paid off on the scale.
1/18 231.4 / Been about a month since I've been at this weight. Woo hoo. Back at indoor soccer tonight.
1/19 233.2 / Soccer game was fun last night but we were terrible. Got some running around in an otherwise low step day. Today has been good - I am working from home so I got to use my lunch break to ride the Peloton. Love that.
1/20 232.2 / Ended up doing two rides yesterday and I treated myself to a bubble bath after some cleaning. Felt great to pamper myself.
1/21 236 / Yesterday was a relaxing day. We also ate too much take-out... day just sorta ended up that way. Weekends haven't been as disciplined as week days which slows my progress.
1/22 233 / Got a one hour ride in on the Peloton before watching my Bills suffer a crushing defeat. Cheering for the Lions now! Working from home today so I was able to ride the Peloton before work.. love that!
1/23 232.2 / Got on the Peloton again tonight. I feel like it's been a long while since I've been on three days in a row. Feels really good.
1/24 230.2 / I had my dinner out with friends tonight and we share a bunch of food. Didn't track. Didn't overeat going in but the meal was bigger than usual. A nice visit.
1/25 232.8 / Busy day today. Ending the night with salad, water, and my soccer game.
1/26 233.2 / Scored a goal at soccer last night. Late night. Stood in front of the pantry and mindlessly shoved chips and chocolate into my mouth. Oops.6 -
1st Round 246 SW: 212.5
3rd Round 248 SW: 207.7
Goals: Stay consistent, get stronger, lose more inches.
1/17 207.7 (weighed myself 3x today which means I've started obsessing ~ need to work on that)
1/18 207.0 (feeling like a set point! 🤔 professionals say don't give up and keep trying new tricks)
1/19 DNW (no reason other than just didn't feel like it)
1/20 208.3 (some poor choices this weekend ~ but its okay, buckling down rest of month)
1/21 208.1 (20 min 🏋🏾♀️ workout yesterday? 9 hrs sleep? will it continue? IDK and doesn't matter ~ proud of my work thus far and loving the skin I'm in. Looking forward to pics, measurements and new game plan for the week. #fitfam #initforlife

1/26 DNW - #restday and #mentalhealthday includes not thinking about the scale so actually forgot it was last day of the challenge. But slept well, been working out with calorie deficits, and it is what it is. We'll see tomorrow.

Round 239 - 246 : DNW
Round 247: 164.7 lbs (+6.2)
This round I am going to focus on eating 3 meals per day and staying within my calorie budget. For exercise, I will focus on getting 22 active minutes per day. I also need to keep showing up here no matter what the scale says!
SW RND 248 : 164.7 lbs
1/17 : 164.5 lbs
1/18 : 164.2 lbs Surprised by the drop because I ate a lot of curry last night. I might be dehydrated.
1/19 : 164.2 lbs I need a plan for pizza night. We make small pizzas from scratch and the home made base is delicious but calorific. I think I will aim for 4 slices which is about 500 calories according to my calculations. I will eat slowly and mindfully with lots of sips of water in between. Last week I ate 6 slices which was way too much and I felt over full.
1/20 : 164.2 lbs I am so pleased that I stuck to my plan for pizza night. Usually I gain about a pound then spend the rest of the challenge trying to lose it again. I felt full after 4 slices and most importantly, I didn't feel like I was missing out. Even though my the scale hasn't moved for a few days, I feel like I am making progress.
1/21 : 164.2 lbs I think eating slowly had really helped me get more pleasure out of eating small amounts of treats. Yesterday my kids made some apple crumble and it took the family less than 5 minutes to eat a their slices. I made my small slice last 15 minutes. I know I have rubbished mindful eating in the past but for me it is really helping. Still no movement on the scale though. I am surprised the scale would actually weigh me so consistently the same weight. Surely there would be fluid fluctuations from day to day that should show up on the scale? My scale remembers different people's weight. I suspect there is logic in the scale that snaps the weight to my last weight if it is within a certain margin. Or perhaps my scale is broken.
1/22 : 164.5 lbs
1/23 : 163.8 lbs
1/24 : 163.1 lbs
1/25 : 162.9 lbs
1/26 : 162.9 lbs I am happy with a 1.8 pound loss this round. If I average out all my losses from previous rounds, I lose on average 1.3 pounds per round so I have done better than average. It's pizza night tonight again. I need to be strong and stick to 4 small slices again like I did earlier in this round. I think it's weird that I feel like I am missing out before I eat the pizza but afterwards feel full and satisfied with 4 slices. I guess it is like giving up snacking where my brain needed a few weeks to be assured that I won't feel hungry in between 3 larger meals. I barely feel like I am missing snacks now so hopefully in a few more weeks that will develop with pizza as well.6 -
deepwoodslady wrote: »01/25 -185.2- (Trend weight 183.7) Yesterday was one of the planned higher calorie and carb days on the zig-zag plan. In addition, today is no TMI x 2 so a jump up is disappointing but not surprising. Today I have scheduled one of the extra low calorie days. I may try to weigh in tomorrow (I usually don’t on Fridays due to my Friday school schedule for DGS.) If so, it will probably be a very late weigh-in unless they cancel schools again tomorrow. I hate to miss the final challenge weigh-in. Anyway, my cat is making me feel very pudgy. She has began to knead my stomach again before laying down on my lap. That is actually as clear an indicator to me as my scale. Like a human lie-detector. Kinda….Sorta….. I may have a long way to go in the stomach area of weight loss, if truth be told.
@deepwoodslady That belly gets us all Donna! Easy on ~ hard begone! (uggh! especially us menopausal gals) we'll just keep trying til we get it right 💪🏽 and nice drop!5 -

SW (first round): 155.8
SW (this round): 155.5
1/17 - 153.2 - very excited to be starting with a loss - now I need to hold it. Celebration season is over and looking forward to getting back into a normal routine - although what I thought was going to be a quiet weekend this weekend has suddenly become very busy. Winter Warrior Challenge #17 - 3 miles - still snow covered roads and extremely low wind-chills. 14 days left to go.
1/18 - 154.5 😩. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #18 - walked 3 miles to give mynlegs a rest. Roads are still snow covered, 17 degrees Fahrenheit, feels like 10 - felt warm compared to the past 4 days 😂
1/19 - 152.8 😯. Not sure how that happened, but happy to see it. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #19. Still snow covered roads (it's been too cold to melt) and super cold 🥶 but I got it done. On the downward slide “only” 12 days to go 🤪
1/20 - 152.3. Hoping this holds but going out to dinner at very fancy new restaurant tonight so thinking this will likely go the other way tomorrow. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #20 - 5 miles. Only 11 more days to go!
1/21- 152.5 - busy day - lots of car time- drove 2 hours to watch my daughter compete in an indoor track meet - lots of random food but kept things as healthy as possible and did not go overboard. Noted that indoor runners seem a lot warmer than I've been lately 🤔 🙄 😂 - Winter Warrior Challenge Day #21 ‐ 3 miles. Still very cold and snow covered roads. It is supposed to warm up a bit this week so hoping I can finish this challenge on clear roads 🤞
1/22 - 152.6 - is this sticking???? Fingers crossed. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #22 - ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT - and I am SO excited. The weather has been brutal - which is the point of the challenge - but it is definitely getting old. Tomorrow we are expecting 3 inches of snow covered with a .3 inch glaze of ice… should make for interesting running
1/23 - 153.7 - slowly creeping up since Saturday. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #23 - rain this morning - was not pleasant but actually made the traction in the snow better. Hoping it doesn’t freeze overnight and make things extra treacherous tomorrow + 30 mins strength training.
1/24 - 153.0 Going back in the right direction. Winter Warrior Challenge Day #24 ‐ walked 3 miles because it was 8:30 pm and running 3 miles was the very last thing on earth I wanted to do but after 23 days, I wasn't going to give up now. Tomorrow will be a better day.
1/25 - 151.9 - Winter Warrior Challenge Day #25
1/26 - 152.4 - did not post yesterday - it’s been an exhausting few days and I was already in bed turning off the light to go to sleep when I remembered. My 17 y/o daughter was in a car accident on Wednesday evening. It was a serious collision and her car was totaled - but she as well as the people who were in the car she hit were remarkably un-injured. We thought she had nothing but a burn on her hand from the airbag and a bruise on her leg, but this morning I noticed her pupils were weirdly dilated so we spent the first half of the day in the ER. She was diagnosed with a concussion and I am thankful that it was not more serious than that - but I am emotionally exhausted from it all. I had planned to run at lunch but the trip to the ER ruined that plan. Now I am just too tired to run and have absolutely no motivation so I will go out and walk 3 miles with my puppies to clear my head and keep my 3 mile/day streak going. I’ve come too far in the Winter Warrior Challenge to give up now, even if it is the last thing I want to do (again) - I will regret not doing it tomorrow. Very happy there are only 5 days left after today. Total loss this round was 3.1 lbs 🙂

@reshii_devil What is going on with my post menopausal belly lately is very strange. I have lost enough weight on the upper stomach, just below the breast in the midriff area that my ribs stick out and it actually hurts to have them press against my mattress when I sleep. I mean, ACTUAL pain. HOWEVER, midsection in the belly button area (and below) it is still very mushy and watery and flabby. So here's to hoping that the bottom of my tummy (the part my cat is loving) catches up to my top tummy! I must say, as a diabetic I'm not too surprised that the tummy is the slowest to go. I guess that is pretty typical, but what size your wear is dependent on that lower measurement so I CANNOT wait for the progress! Since misery loves company, I appreciate you chiming in LOL. @Leigh_b Thank God Above that she is okay. Clearly she will be inconvenienced with her car out of commission, but at least everyone survived. I will pray for her quick recovery and comfort as she heals from the concussion.6 -

Round 248 ● My Journey ~ round 4 ● Karla, 67y, 5'4"
Starting wt. 231 lb. /Goal wt. 140 lb. *** Ending wt. round 3 ✴ 219 lb.
🙂Current round musings…- (Day 41) 01/17 ✴ 219.0 lb. ~ I definitely need to move more. There is still time tonight but...It's cold out and dark ... I guess it will be weights and stairs. I did meet the healthy eating (except sodium), calorie & water goals. So, I will call today successful.
- (Day 42) 01/18 ✴ 219 lb. ~ Happy to say, I got up and moved last night. I’m not too surprised about today’s weight after going way over on sodium yesterday. Today I met the healthy eating, calorie & water goals with a few calories left over. It was deskwork all day, dang those virtual meetings, so I am a slug.
- (Day 43) 01/19 ✴ 218 lb. ~ I hope to get over this little slump. I haven’t lost a lb. in a while. Doldrums tonight. I need to get outside and walk. Tomorrow will be better.
- (Day 44) 01/20 ✴ 218.4 lb. ~ I knew today would be better. I am checking in earlier than my normal at bedtime, it is because I forced myself to get up and walk a 30-minute mile on the treadmill. I realize that’s slow, and it wasn’t pretty, but I did it! I have plenty of calories left to finish the day and I feel like I can make good choices. I wish the best for you.
- (Day 45) 01/21 ✴ 217.8 lb. ~ Another early post for me. Oregon is a great place to live from April to October. But the winter months of clouds, rain, and wind can be very depressing, it reminds me of Ohio in the winter. On the positive, I have a 2-day streak of 30-minute exercise. I haven’t made excellent choices for food today. I need to increase my vegetables and with less than 400 calories left, it will be a vegetable-laden dinner. The scale is easing down slowly, I was planning for a 3 lb. loss this round. At the halfway point of this round, it will be a mini-miracle if I achieve that.
- (Day 46) 01/22 ✴ 218.2 lb. ~ So, that streak ended quickly. Lazy day. That’s it for today.
- (Day 47) 01/23 ✴ 216 lb. ~ A bit of a move on the scale finally. Yes! Now to continue the pattern. I may have an aversion to the word ‘exercise’, so I am calling it intentional movement. My intentional movement (IM) was good today, under calories but poor choice of foods and water consumption just at minimum. Focus!
- (Day 48) 01/24 ✴ 217 lb. ~ This back-and-forth can be frustrating. It’s so easy for me to blame it on the last meal, or the last day even though I know change doesn’t happen that fast. I need to focus on the overall change for each round. Oh! NSV! I dropped a pant size. The jeans are tight, but they button and zip. Win! So today I met my goals, another win.
We are having our 1st thunder and lightning of 2024 with tonight's rainstorm. I love thunder, it reminds me of sitting on the porch with the family sipping hot drinks just talking and talking...Such good memories of my parents and brother and sister we have lost. It makes me smile and cherish the family we still have. - (Day 49) 01/25 ✴ 217.5 lb. ~ Pretty good day. Finally got the TNCC out of the way. Now just 2 more recerts in the next two months. Yea! Then I am good for 2 years on that. I met my goals except the IM and feel exhausted, ready for bed at 8 pm. I think I will just head in so I can do my stretches and settle. 5 am comes early. Thank you all for being there to vent to.
- (Day 50) 01/26 ✴ 217.0 lb. ~ Well, I am happy about the 2 lb. loss this round. I was trying for more but made a few poor choices and I let the weather define my mood. My energy levels drop when the sun is hiding. I want to hibernate.
Goals this Round:- Water 60oz+ each day
- Eating healthy, high protein & fiber, 1450 kcal limit.
- 30min of intentional movement 7 x a week; walking, strength, dance, etc.

Ouch, wow ~ sorry @deepwoodslady . Hope that balances out soon. And yeah lower belly mostly my target too. Cheers 🍻 to slaying next few rounds!3 -
@deepwoodslady - leg raises whilst prone and tightening your tummy muscles at the same time is good for toning lower stomach. I try to do 20 each morning before I dress (and before the scales ) if my hip allows, sometimes it complains too much!! But it does seem to make a difference.2

HW: 194.7 (88.3 kg) April 25, 2020
END WT RND 247: 177.4 (80.5 kg)
1/17- 176.8 (80.2 kg) My rheumatologist noticed I was a few pounds down from my last appointment six months ago.
1/18- 176.7 Comfort food tonight. Hamburger Helper Italian Basil Penne. High sodium, but within my calories.
1/19- 176.5 Coworkers suggested pizza from a local place for lunch. The restaurant doesn't have calories online, so I guesstimated with a mod pizza. That took most of my allotment, so good thing it was very filling. And delicious!
1/20- 176.1 Helped my sister do some painting today, plan to help again a few hours tomorrow. Steak and potatoes for dinner tonight.
1/21- 175.2 (79.5 kg) New low appeared on the scale. I suspect it was water weight, but even if I'm up for a while, I have faith I'll see it and new lows if I stick with it. Also, even though I don't use kgs outside of online, they make for different milestones in addition to the pound ones. Under 80 kgs! Next looking forward to being under 175.
1/22- 174.8 Still stiff this evening when I sit still for a while due to the painting this weekend. Also slept badly last night. Hoping for a good night's rest tonight.
1/23- 174.6 Dog barked and growled at nothing for 2 hours last night from midnight to 2 AM. My husband is out of town for work and I typically don't mind being home alone, but the dog was freaking me out even though there was nothing outside. Apparently, all I had to do to get him to sleep is tell Alexa to play Christmas music. Restaurant with a friend tonight, so calories were a guess. I think I didn't do too bad.
1/24- 175.6 Don't mind the pound swing up. I had so many cravings today, so I went a hundred and fifty calories over goal with a mini Häagen Dazs chocolate ice cream bar. I don't feel bad or guilty about that, but I don't want the exceptions (just one more Pepsi, a few more chips, more cheese please, a second helping of dinner, etc.) to become the norm again. Tomorrow is a new day to do my best.
1/25- 175.8 Snuggled under the blankets and heading to sleep just a little early.
1/26- 175.1 (79.4 kg) Weighed and logged, but forgot to post before bed. NSV: I decided to pull my next size down jeans out. They're Maurice's so they have a fair amount of stretch. Maybe a bit tight in the waist still, but they didn't look ridiculous and I wore them comfortably all day.6 -
@Corina1143 I love your attitude! ❤️❤️❤️3
