Good morning from the Arkansas River Valley, clear and sunny day in the outlook, warming up fast,
No UTI, according to the urinalysis, but I'm not sure what's going on if that's not it. It's certainly the same symptoms. I've had dozens of the dang things over the years. However, I treated for a yeast infection already, three times over the course of the last month, without noticeable results. Could be the continuing issues with emissions from the colon ulcers. Could be irritation from the diuretic... but that's very necessary for the edema that plagues me, especially my right ankle. Blah. Tired of thinking about it - will just treat the symptoms, and talk to the gastro on the 16th and the gyno on the 21st. Hope I can get the symptoms under control before that point.
Right now, I'm mulling over putting in the paperwork to increase my disability rating through the VA, as my knees have gone so bad... the point in doing it would be that I might be able to get it raised enough to offset what Medicare will cost me when that begins next year. It will be a paperwork wade, and lots more medical appointments if I do it. Not my favorite activity. However, it could raise my disability rating by anywhere from three to six times what it is right now, which would be a significant impact to our budget.
Anyway, I got a lot done yesterday, even with going in for the test, which was an hour. Today, I need to return some things to Walmart as well as get my glasses adjusted there, so time to get moving.
Michelle in NV - Caught your post on a refresh. Thank you for the lovely messaging... I'm not sure I was the one talking about regrets, though. I try to avoid that emotion, as I've always thought it was a waste of energy. We can't fix the past, but we can learn from it.
More later, maybe,
Love y'all!

While I anticipate starting another novel before the end of the month, I highly doubt I'll finish it.
So ... in January, I read these books! I couldn't do much in the way of exercise or gardening, so I read.

Love Clive Cussler! Dirk Pitt is like a more scruffy 007 plus his sidekick ( Al Giordino) is hilarious, yet endearing. The only thing that is frustrating is that I can't put his books down. The way he writes makes you NEED to read the next chapter! So my life pretty much stops, 2 days go by that nothing is accomplished but my adventure with my handsome Dirk.🤗💖

Machka that's interesting that you flow charted your writing. I could get a cork bulletin board and do that on paper. I don't know where I could put a bulletin board though. Hmm.
I'm not driven to write, I just do it to entertain myself sometimes. It stretches my little brain. Maybe I could look for a journal of writing exercises. Hmm.
Meanwhile I have to take my Dad to the dermatologist this morning. Not fun, but not terrible either. Then work on my Mom's wallet, and then groceries.
And yes I will be on my dad's account starting tomorrow so i can get more involved. Hope it works out.
Have a great day ladies!

On writing I’ve always enjoyed writing, but never did it for a book or short story. I do however, at the moment Have 4 different journals going! 3 of then have writing prompts in them. My daughter got me started on those a long time ago with a book she gave me for Christmas one year Called “300 Writing Prompts”. This one works on my sanity. I have another I am using to reinforce my sobriety, it also has prompts. Another I have is a coloring/journal book of the 12 Steps (I’m working on step 8 right now), and I started another journal to track my DH’s moods/activities to see if I can find a trend in his moods (narcissist/alcoholic). If I find what he says or does to trigger my emotional response, I can or should be able to adjust my response to where I don’t get sorry for myself or feel guilty if I read and write these things, when I re-read what I wrote, I can see where the pattern lies.
I’ve been told many times I should be a writer, but never tried to do it. I like to write, but don’t think I could write a whole book, possibly if I do like Heather and use my journals, IDK. I’ve been doing diaries and journal since I was a kid, but didn’t save them all.

I’ve developed a ‘floater’ in the eye that had surgery, so going to eye doc today for more drops along with a post-op and floater check up. It was a good thing I changed this appointment, it was to be this Friday, today I got a reminder that I have a gastro appointment Friday. They would have been an hour apart and not sure I would have made both. Sometimes things work out! So, eye doc today, therapist tomorrow, and gastro on Friday. 3 docs in one week!! Sheesh!
Today is Saudade: “A nostalgic longing to be near again to someone or something that is distant, or that has been loved then loss: the love that remains”….. This would be my paternal grandmother who died 20 years ago…..
Peace Ladies! ✌️

Follow your heart Rita. There is no right or wrong in creativity. The act of doing is all and the process of our becoming people who do.
I like this message John sent Bea just now.

My nephew's son came to visit last year to be sure and meet his great grandma before she passed. The poor kid was three and had to get up at two am to catch the plane, and he never recovered. He screamed the whole time he was here. They didn't bring any of his toys. Such a stormy visit!
The visitors for my Mom's service did much better. But there were some who came to the house after the reception and stayed five hours! I was like jello before they left. They came from California so I can see why they wanted to hang out, but I just wasn't up for it. But at least we are all a friendly bunch.
I have been going through Mom's wallet and canceling accounts. For some reason my phone is not clear today so I gave up. But I got some done.

Poor John's cold led him, at my suggestion, to contacting his cricket friend to see if he wanted to go ahead with their lunch date tomorrow. His friend rang and declined. His wife has been sick since the new year with a cold she couldn't shake off. Didn't want to risk it.
They will set the date again next week.
I think you should always give people the choice. Some don't care, but others have an important date ahead, like a cruise, and don't want to risk it.
Unfortunately, that means I won't get my blissful few hours to myself tomorrow.

Barbara: Hope your recovery from the Mohs surgery goes well.
Rita: I had floaters after my cataract surgery and still do. The dr. seemed to think it was a usual thing and nothing was wrong.
Machka: I have been a long time fan of Nora Roberts, Mary Higgins Clark and Sandra Brown. Also like Patricia Cornwall, Fern Michaels, and Lisa Regan (although some of hers have gotten old).
Heather: Sweet note John sent to Bea!
Michelle in NV: Love the effort you are making to get the Dr Peppers out of your life. I wish I could get my love of wine in the evening gone.
My husband and I have been suffering with colds for the last 7 days! Ready for this to be over.

Allie--Yes we do watch chasing classic cars and several of the other ones. Love seeing the older cars.
Rebecca--I can feel your excitment about DYS visit and so happy for you. I understand about going out for stamps and coming home with a car. That is why I tell DH he can not retire until I do as when I am working he is home he tends to go shopping. For anything from clothes to motorcycle.
Lanette--HUGS!
Rosemarie--Great news about the grant. Sounds like fun.
Annie--How scary. I agree he has a mind of his own and you can only do so much. Interesting question your dad asked about you finding a husband. First thing that came to mind is he aftraid you will find someone and leave him a lone? Just a thought.
Kylia--Sorry to hear the news about DH's health and his sleeping so much. Pray the doctor can get him to listen. My heart is doing the same thing. The 48 hours I wore the monior it stayed down. It only does it once in a while and I am usually not doing anything. Most the time I don't feel much just a light fluder.
Heather--Great news about your book. Looking forward to it.
Margaret--Sounds like a real nice service.
Debbie--So sorry about your mom's furbaby.
Am all caught up and glad everyone is keeping busy. This past week has been one thing after another. We did get away 2 days for a CMA event, but my shoulder has decided it is not happy and can not breath deep or move. Went to doctor yesterday and he said nothing is broken, badly pulled. So not sleeping well.
But the weather is beautiful at 50 degrees and snow is melting all over.

Good evening all:
Nothing new to report here. Didn't get anything I planned done at work yet was somehow busy all day. PT went well. Gave me another dry needling. The pain had reduced from last week (Friday) and therapist thought another was in order to try to convince foot differently! Not feeling bad right now. I think support stockings help-need to figure out best compression level.
Have to go do preregistration for medical appointments tomorrow and send a couple of emails.
Take care all,
