    Morning, everyone.

I splurged on dinner over the weekend, mostly financially and not calorically, and order Korean kimbap and tteokbokki. I'm trying to not put any hard limits on my food, to help my binge eating. And this approach seems to be working for now. If nothing is off limits, then I can't "fail" by eating something "bad."

I've been doing a lot of driving the last two weeks: three 3.5hour roundtrips last week alone and keeping protein bars and snacks in my car, as well as a jug of water, has really helped me not to panic and stop at every fast food place or convenience store along the way because mind is convinced we're "out of food."

I actually did stop once to get some caffeine (a diet coke...I haven't ordered a diet anything in years) and a bean burrito. This was really a change for me because it the past I've gotten a big regular soda and 3 to 5 tacos and burritos at once.

Anyway, I know I'm playing the long game here, so slow and steady wins the race. I'm taking each day and challenge as it comes along and trying to Move My Body (my 2024 mantra) most days of the week.

    Weigh-ins: Sundays
    Jan SW = 242.8
    1/7/24 = 240 (-2.8)
    1/14/24 = 237.4 (-2.6)
    1/21/24 = 235.6 (-1.8)
    1/28/24 = 231.6 (-4)
    Total WL/G for the month= -11.2

My body was really ready to let go of some weight this week! I actually weighed myself again this morning since I was worried about it being a fluke but I'm 231.4 this morning too so I guess it's sticking. ๐Ÿ˜Š I'm officially down 30+ lbs since Nov. Gonna continue crushing it in February! ๐Ÿ’ช I'd love to fit in a few of my old clothes in time for my birthday in May.

    Weekly Check In โ€ข 1/29

    SW: 237
    LW: 233.2
    CW: 231.6
    GW: 165

One thing I want to improve from last week:

    More fiber & veggies.
I need to get โ€œregularโ€ (sung in the time of โ€œletโ€™s get physicalโ€)

One thing I enjoyed from last week:

I found a simplified workout I enjoy and thatโ€™s goal/ bucket list focused. Iโ€™ve been doing grow with Jo on YT but I turn on my Soca pandora station and pretend Iโ€™m at carnival in my little outfit. Itโ€™s motivating and fun, and before I know it the hour is over.

    NSV:

โœจI FINALLY got my water dilemma figured out. It was my drinking vessel. Switched back to my mason jar & we are GOOD!
โœจMy sleep schedule is improving. Not perfect but weโ€™re getting there.

    -

In other news my hair is falling out. Iโ€™m not sure if my calories are too low, my PCOS, or other issues. So weโ€™ll see. I shaved my head last time I got smaller, I may be doing it again lol jk.

Iโ€™m soooo close to my first tiny goal! Iโ€™m hoping to see 229 by the end of the week.

Changing to just do today's weight. I'll still get the 31st but just going ahead. I was a bit surprised with the lower weight today; besides not eating a whole lot over the weekend being busy etc.

Last week birthday was great. Went to one of the local thai places that reopened their dining room after moving after COVID. Tried a different dish this time to try out their spicy dishes. I do need to check this one cookbook I have to see about a coconut chicken soup. Restaurant has a great one and another has similar so I feel the cookbook might have something.

I did task my husband with a cake. It was fantastic. From a local bakery I haven't been to but has been around for a while. I'll likely try them again in the future; keeping it to cupcakes etc.

DH got me a gift certificate for a nail salon. Last year he gave me ones for their sister's store so now I can try the other. I procrastinated so much though so only went the last few months knowing the certs expire after the year.

    Morning!

How is January the LONGEST month and then all of the sudden over?

I definitely eased back into work after the Holidays and I am PAYING for it now. However, I have been focused on myself and would not change that--even if it means a brutal work schedule for the moment.

It has been beautiful for the past week. Mid-50s and sunshine during the day. This means I have back on my running schedule. Snow is supposed to return later in the week, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I have noticed that running can stall the scale (in the short term) for me. But I know is ultimately beneficial in all aspects in the long "run".

Jan 30th (I know this is just for my OWN high five  !) 185.1
    Feb 5th:

GW: 170 and I will reassess.

I see so much dedication and progress in this group. Things get hard and even messy sometimes--but you are all working through it, getting back-up and pushing through and it is so inspirational. I'm very happy for you all and glad to have the support!!!

    Good morning everyone!

Last day of the month, and weighed in at 180.0! Of course, my average didn't go down to that, haha.

    SW 2024: 182.7

    ๐ŸŽ‰ January Goals!๐ŸŽ‰
    ๐ŸŽ‰ January GW: 180
    1/6: 182.3 (-0.4)
    1/13: 182.2 (-0.1)
    1/20: 182.1 (-0.1)
    1/27: 182.0 (-0.1)
    1/31: 181.7 (-0.3)

The only goal I didn't meet (besides weight goal) was installing the pole. The flooring thing really got in my way, there.

So I lost 1 lb this month, average wise. It's not big and sexy as numbers go, but it's completely liveable. As you can see, I barely ever stuck to my target calories, haha. And if I wanted to be technical about it, I did weigh in at 180, so goal weight. But it's not my average, so it doesn't count.

    frwfnmdh41y1.png

But I'm logging! And that counts for something. Also, I did do all my workouts, 5 days a week, every week! So I got to open up my Lorecana decks, and I'm going to my brother's house on Friday to play it with him.

Tonight is a new class at the gym called Balls to the Wall (lol) and poles 2, which should be challenging. My carpool is on deck, and we're all going today, all three of us. So that should be fun.

Tonight's dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs, I think, and I've got the room for it if I don't snack (which should be easier, because I've got to take the baby to therapy today- no just sitting at my desk or at home, because I'll be going work-> therapy-> home-> gym). Busy is good for weight loss calories!

    Tag party time!
@sharon81 look at you goooooo!

@skintight303 amazing work! And I'm glad you're getting some good weather for runs.

@RavenStCloud I love your calendar! That's so awesome!

@CarleyMarie83 that's so many steps! You should be proud. I'm proud of you, too.

@kristinwoods919 you did really great! Looking forward to next month, too.

Have a great day, everyone! See you next month!

    Goal Check 1/31

    Exercise - 6x a week โœ”๏ธ
Water - working towards 64 to 100 ounces daily (had a tendency to land around 48 this week > Gotta get back to 64.

    Week 1 = 32 +โœ”๏ธ
    Week 2 = 48 +โœ”๏ธ
    Week 3 = 63 + 4 out of 7 days (so far). Lots of bathroom visits :(
    Week 4 = 80 +
    Week 4 = 63 + closer to 48
Week 5 = 63 + Still struggling but today, I'm going to make it. I've already got 32+ down and it's not yet noon!

Better Nutrition *Work in Process โœ”๏ธ
It's seems the protein might by the key. Technically it's the only thing (well, there's the alcohol reduction > how quickly we forget) that I've really changed compared to prior attempts.

Less Alcohol * Work in process. I finished January (including today as AF) with 4 days with alcohol and 27 days AF. I was probably pregnant the last time I went this long with so little alcohol. My son is 34 by the way :)

Get back to 10,000 steps a day (minimum) ๐Ÿšซ

Still working on the step count. A little warmer weather would help the cause!

@Ravenstcloud ~ I agree with nothing being off limit as it's just a trigger! I love that 366 day calendar!! I chart a monthly one but I might have to steal this idea!!

@mmatcha_latte !~ you ARE crushing it! Awesome work! Very consistent with weekly losses!

@Ceceflyy ~ interesting...the drinking vessel.. This is not the first time that I've heard this!

If I missed it...@sarah12277 Happy Belated Birthday!!

@cupcakecrusoe ~ What did you learn at the gym? I forgot about your pole!!๐Ÿ™‚ Progress is progress and down is down!

    @Sharon81 ~ Awesome works....sweet results!

    @skintight303 ~ Also..totally...KILLING it...

    @CarleyMarie83 ~ that's a LOT of steps! Congrats!

    My Mantra:

๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ Don't think, just do it!!
