💗Happy February, ladies!💗
💕We've made it through the first month of 2024 and now we've got to stay focused on our goals and ourselves in February!
💕How did January treat you and how have you been treating yourself? Are there any new resolutions you've added to the list or any that you've set aside because they just weren't working?
💕What are the things you'll be focused on in February? And what's one way you've already made yourself proud in 2024?
💗If you've never been here before, please know you are welcome to join at any point in the month. All you have to do is post something, and then BAM! you're one of us.
💗 In this group, we post our weekly and monthly goals and provide support and motivation to each other as we share our triumphs and our struggles. This group is all about accountability.
💗All are welcome and, if you think you belong here, you do! No matter how much you currently weigh or how you measure (or don't measure) your weight, we'd love to hear from you!
💗Victories, both scale and non-scale, are great to hear about, but, conversely, we know that weight loss isn't all sunshine and roses. If you're going through a rough patch, please feel free to be honest and vent your heart out. The struggle is real and we're all here to support each other!
💕Let's focus up in February and be as fierce and fabulous as possible!💕

I will try to weigh in only weekly this month. I don't anticipate losing the same way I did last month so I doubt I'll have the uncontrolled urge to share every day. 😂🤣
Since it's Thursday, and I weigh every day regardless, I'll stick to Thursday weigh ins.

My main objective is to keep working at my calorie deficit. Last month my goal was to add more activity into my day to day and I'd say I did not crush that one. I did add more, but not enough more. This month I will have the same goal + I will also work on having less "out of control" "social eating" and "unplanned eating" days than I did last month. Seems like almost every weekend was a tornado of bad choices.
My biggest accomplishments last month were losing 10+lbs (still in shock 😳) wearing a belt for the first time in my life. (Because I needed to.) Finding that all my stretchy work pants are so baggy on me that I look like a clown. (Going shopping Saturday.) Wish me luck as I HATE shopping and I have no real idea what size I am now. And lastly an almost accomplishment. I almost hit 50lbs total lost. 1.8 lbs to go and I will have hit that goal!! Super excited!!9 -
Good morning Ladies.
starting weight for February-225.1
My weigh-ins are on Friday mornings.
I did add sit ups to my daily routine for February. I am hoping to get more cardio in for this month.
My goals for this month is to loose 10 lbs and 2 inches off waist. I have a lot going on the next 3 days I am hoping to get some walks in. I was able to hit my goal last month, despite being sick for 3 weeks. (I still have this nasty cough but getting better).
I have already noticed a big change in my appearance, I just want to continue supporting all of you and thank you for all the support I am getting from you.

January: -9lbs
I'm really proud of my hard work in January. I've tried very hard to stay calm and thoughtful around food and control my binge eating. I've listened to my body and worked out 3 to 4 times a week and stayed away from the gym when I wasn't in a good mental place to go.
In February, I am going to keep focusing on listening to my body and eating mindfully. I also want to start incorporating weight training to my workouts.
Also, weighing myself only at the end of the month has really helped me not concentrate on the numbers (I do weigh myself the last three days straight in case on the final day my weight fluctuates).

I've decided that the only way to make myself stick to weight loss calories is to bribe myself, so that's what I'm going to do this month, haha.
Average about the same this morning, which is fine.
Last night at the gym was good. I did genie for the first time, it looks like this (these pictures are not of me):
As for what I learned in pole class the other day, @itladyee, I learned side sit (I am not yet able to float the hand, so imagine her free hand is holding onto the pole):
Today is the day I make my workout plan for the month. Going to do some splits training after dinner tonight at home, I think. I was going to go to the gym, but it's so far, and I just went last night, so home splits it is.
Dinner tonight will be fish and chips, or fish and mash, or fish and mac and cheese, .... fish and something. Haven't decided what yet. I'll probably fry everyone else's and steam my own. I'm looking forward to being at home tonight.
I'm deep in the trash novel writing zone right now. It's going really well. We'll see how I feel about it after I leave it for a little while.
Also, next month, I go to Japan! So exciting!
I'll post my workout schedule tomorrow for transparency. Until then, have a great day everyone!

Monthly Check In • 2/1
💜HAPPY LOVE MONTH💜
SW: 237
LW: 231.6
CW: 230.6
GW: 165
Today isn’t an actual weigh in day but I wanted to see what I’m starting the month at. I’m glad I did, I haven’t seen 230 in a while, it’s only .7 away on where I wanted to be. I even did a little happy dance! I’m so proud of myself, and that doesn’t happen often. ☺️
One thing I want to improve from last month:
Water & sleep will be my main focus. I can really tell the difference in my mood when I hydrate & sleep enough.
One thing I enjoyed from last month:
I’m going to say my workouts. I actually stayed consistent and hit my 2-3x/ week goal. I’m at that point where I’m excited to workout and look forward to it.
February Goals:
💜 64oz of water a day
💜 7-8 Hours of sleep a night
💜 225 on the scale4 -

-At least 2 day at gym - 1 cardio, 1 strength

The earlier week low I didn’t believe at the time and think the scale wasn’t full flat. Swiped the floor and now back to stable.
Nothing too exciting this month. Just need to get back into routine.
Trying to figure out if we’re really going to the horror convention and the Disney trip in the coming months. Financials are suggesting no so really debating it.

End of February Goal Weight: 180
UGW 170 and I'll reassess.
I weigh daily and track to see averages and anomalies. I did like @sharon81 tactic of posting daily for accountability and might steal this depending on how this first week goes.
January was great overall--but I could see myself getting loose with both my calorie tracking and weighing all my food. (I'm talking to you handful of cheez-its!!!) I KNOW that this works. I am recommitted. I also am very proud that I averaged 15,648 steps per day and hit my goal of 10K steps on all 31 days. I have to send my Fitbit back for an exchange since it is being glitchy and I am determined to stay on track event though I will likely be 10 days without "tracking".
February Goals:
* Remain in a calorie deficit everyday with 1 exception day (husband's birthday celebration).
* Dry February (with same exception as above).
* Climb to the 25th floor at work 3 times daily.
* Exercise 3 times a week at minimum (running or strength, with at least 1 being strength).
* Complete a 28 day plank challenge.

💕 February GW (average): 180
💗Feb SW (average): 181.8
2/3: 182, I've had some high weights, and high intakes.
💗Stick to weight loss calories 7! days! a week! ❌ 0/2 lol
💗Log everything in grams ✅ I do know exactly how much I went over, and my expenditure is still increasing.
💗Read 2 books _ _
💗Set up my home pole and take pictures for you all of my home gym in my garage - we'll see if I work on the flooring today. Maybe tomorrow.
💗Do not deviate from the workout plan! ✅
Today is booty blast and poles 2 at the gym, this after I'm still sore from Wednesday, lol. It's fine.
I'll have to figure out what all I'm doing today food-wise, and prelog to make sure I don't get outta pocket. Time to look forward to this coming week, when I will hopefully have a !DECREASED! weigh in.
Played lorecana with my brother last night, it was fun. I'm thinking of adjusting my rewards to include a playing mat and card protectors, we'll see. He gave me a ton of cards, so I don't as desperately need a stable as I once did, although he would of course keep good ones to himself,
Tag party time:
@itladyee It does take some doing! It's an excellent resistance training workout- because you really are hauling your entire body weight up, haha. I found it on a lark- I used to do belly dancing, but the studio was too far away from me now, and was looking for a replacement for that. There are pole fitness studios around me! I found one that looked fun and lucked out- the girls at my gym are the nicest, most supportive people I have ever met. We're all friends. It's truly my Third Place- not home, not work, but a third place where people are happy to see me and I can relax.
@CeCeFlyy you should be proud, you're doing amazing. Sleep should also be on my list, too. I feel so much more prepared to deal with my constant desire for food when I'm less tired. Easier said than done, lol.
@sarah12277 "swiped the floor and back to stable" is a thing that happened to me this week, too, and a great way to put it! I hope you get to do at least one of the things you want to do- either the con or disney.
@skintight303 you're doing great! And I appreciate YOU (all of you) for coming back here and contributing- this group is so much more effective with people who are motivated to share their successes and their downturns- no toxic positivity, just lots of support.
@carley_marie83 That spot you're in? Depending on your height, it can go quickly. I remember being that weight, and thinking I'd never see ONE-derland, and boom- like three weeks later I was there. But even if you're not- the approaching the 100s comes with its own rewards- looser clothes, easier time exercising, the whole bit. If the rate of loss is getting you down, think of your NSVs. You've got this.
@kristinwoods919 you're killing the game! Wonderful! 🥳
Have a great Saturday, everyone! Let's get it!

My February goal was to start weight training at the women's gym. I started going back to the gym in January, but I hurt my arm so I was just mainly using the treadmill.
Last year when I went to this gym, there was a personal trainer that you could hire. But NOW there's a free trainer that does small (1 to 4 woman) workouts five days a week from 8am to like 6pm in 45 minute sessions!!!
How amazing is that? She said we can come as often as we want and we can sign up whenever just so long as there's a maximum of 4 women. And she has leg, pull, push, and core sessions.
I got there and saw she had a leg session starting in 5 minutes and a pull session starting in 55 minutes. I asked to sign up for the pull (and I'd just walk on the treadmill till it was time), but she said why don't you also do legs with us? And I was like, "I have a bad knee. I don't want to hold you guys up." And she was so nice and was like, "We modify everything for everyone. Please join us. "
So I ended up doing both the legs for 45 minutes and then the 45 minute pull session (we did machines and free weights). Now would I do those again back to back and then walk on the treadmill for 20 mins? No. But I wanted to get a feel for more than one of her sessions. And am I soooooo sore at the moment??? Heck, yeah. But I'm so glad that my gym offers this.
I'm going to try to hit 2 to 3 of her sessions next week.5 -
Hi everyone. Checking in for February. I’m having a break from the scales. All I know is that I’m still higher than I was for most of last year, and that’s depressing. This month I’m focussing on good sleep, lower refined carbs and sugar. I’m also looking for a yoga class. I used to do it, badly, but I liked it. Think my hip is ready for it now, 7 months after surgery. I have been swimming regularly and that has helped my mood, and body tone. I have a slim friend who keeps giving me “ subtle” pointers on healthy eating. It’s really annoying me. Idont know if she thinks I spend all my time necking fast food or something but I don’t. Just got to keep going.7

I'm Charissa
63 years young
Starting Weight: 223.6 January
Starting Weight: 215.0 February
Goals for 2024 > Trend downwards. My ultimate goal weight is between 140 - 150. While I'd like to lose about 5lbs a month, I'm focusing instead on actions that could/should result in that loss.
- Exercise - 6x a week
- Water - working towards 80 to 100 ounces daily
- Better Nutrition *Work in Process
- Less Alcohol * Work in process. Continuing with "damp" February.
- Get back to 10,000 steps a day (minimum)
My Mantra:
🏋🏾♀️ Don't think, just do it!!
January was very good to me.... 8.6 lbs gone!
Very proud that- I had 27 AF days
- I continued to work out 6 days a week
- I added a leisurely walk to my resting Sunday vs doing nothing.
- by the end of the month was drinking 80 ounces of water and hitting my protein goal.
- I'm keeping up with all the groups I joined🙂

Weekly Check In • 2/5
SW: 237
LW: 230.6
CW: 233 (shark week)
GW: 165
One thing I want to improve from last week:
I did not a single workout last week. I did get the feeling though so that lets me know I’m in the region of it becoming a habit. But, I did spend a lot of time with friends and family so I have no regrets. I also was able to maintain my weight by staying in my calories. I was 230.6 up until this morning’s weigh in but I’m putting that on my cycle and I’m sure I’ll be back down in 2-3 days.
One thing I enjoyed from last week:
Piggybacking on above I spent a nice amount of time with friends and family without making an excuse to overeat. I really focused on making that time about the connection and not the food. This is something I kind of learned about myself about a year ago is that going out isn’t about the food for me it’s just a way to connect with people so I’ve found ways to do that without food as well (game nights, movie nights, walks, etc.). Saturday we went to a crab feed so I adjusted accordingly and allowed myself not to worry about the calories, and I had a great time!
NSV:
💜 My neck is visibly smaller
💜 My legs are also visibly smaller
💜 AND! 1 of my back rolls shrunk5 -
Good morning everyone!
I'm on the struggle bus, lol. Yesterday, Baby woke me up at 2:15(!!) and I couldn't go back to sleep (!!!!!!) , so I was a zombie all day. Luckily, I was able to go to sleep at 7pm yesterday (lol) and woke up refreshed just before my alarm at 4, for nine whole hours, beautiful. That does mean that yesterday I was a bottomless pit, as generally happens when I'm tired. I consumed something like 2500 calories, lol. AND I didn't go to the gym, because I was a zombie that could barely sit up straight without zoning. It was the right call, just sad that I didn't keep to my (favorite!) gym classes, chair conditioning and chair choreography.
So, my average is going up, my expenditure is going down, bad times all around. Time to get back at it today.
I've got my food all set, as long as I don't dip into my cookie stores like I did yesterday at work, we'll be golden. Breakfast is my apple and PB2 oatmeal, lunch is barley porridge with fennel, beets, and herbs, and dinner will be pulled pork grilled cheese on low-calorie bread and something fun for dessert, maybe dressing up some greek yogurt, since my protein intake has been way low. Maybe that's something I should focus on for next week.
Tag party time!
@RavenStCloud that's such a great perk of your gym! I love that you did that, wonderful!
@sandramarshall200 I'm so sorry about your friend, that's so crappy!! I'm glad that you've found swimming as a thing that brings you joy.
@NZMAMAOF5 welcome! I'm so glad you're here, can't wait to hear more from you!
@mmatcha_latte a nice walk outside is so underrated. I can't wait until it's nice enough to spend some real time outside.
@itladyee "damp" February, lol!
@CeCeFlyy I love the progression to think of events as not as much about food! It's a journey I'm still very much on myself.
Have a great day, everyone!5 -
Hey ladies!!!
Been in a super brain fog since Sunday. I have started my cycle and also caught my son's cold. Nervous to weigh in on Thursday as this morning I was up 4.2 lbs since last Thursday. I am trying not to be too upset about it as I know this is the way of things for me. I was just so excited to reach 50lbs lost.... I wanted it so badly before this weekend when I go out of town to see some family I haven't seen in a while and likely there may be "THE QUESTION". "How much have you lost?" would it be so nice to say a nice even 50 lbs instead of 47. blah blah blah or just about 50 lbs. LOL something silly, but here it is in my head.
@CupcakeCrusoe I so miss the baby stage... My boy just turned 19 on Sunday... Now, can't wait for grand babies. He is planning a September wedding so they may not be too far off if the Lord so blesses them.
@sandramarshall200 I have a mother in law that will do the same, usually pointing fingers at hubby but subtle comments about her weight or whatever that feel like jabs at me. I think they probably mean well but they can back off!! (((HUGS)))
@mmatcha_latte I cannot wait to walk out side again. It was 42F here yesterday and gorgeous... (not going to last in this area) but it was still "too cold" which is comical to me because we live way up North (touching Canada) and it's typically below 0 a lot of the winter but since losing the weight that I have, I am so cold all the time.
@NZMAMAOF5 Welcome to the group! I hope you find it as warm and inspiring as I have
@RavenStCloud That is pretty awesome about the free classes you can join at the gym. I hope to join a gym sometime late spring early Summer (working out our finances right now) The boy is getting married as I mentioned above and would love to be in a size 14 or less dress. We'll see. On that note, I did wear a size 14 skirt to church on Sunday but it was a big 14
@itladyee I can't even imagine 80 ounces of water daily... I am lucky to get 40-50 ounces most days. WTG!!!
@CeCeFlyy Girl you have got it right! I need to not only train myself to believe those words but to also follow them when we go out with a group or if we have a game night with snacks. Just enjoy the people and the time... This addiction to food is tough.
@kristinwoods919 WTG!! Keep up the hard work!
@carley_marie83 Girl I know the feeling all to well. I get so overwhelmed with how long it is taking to get to a goal... sometimes to my own mini detriment. I find that the closer I get to a goal the more slack I tend to become for some reason. I am working hard at DETERMINATION when I get close but here we are, close to a goal of 50lbs lost and I spiked up 4lbs because I threw caution to the wind and ate freely over the weekend.
@skintight303 You are doing fantastic!!! I truly enjoy watching your success because I feel we are in a similar spot. We are the same age, we are the same weight and our goals are similar. I am totally team Skintight303!!
@sarah12277 Keep on keeping on! You're doing great!!
Sorry if I missed anyone. 😬😬4 -
The low sleep is catching up with me and having the puppy. Some days she gets to regular alarm wake up and others wee hours. Definitely knew what I was getting into but boy I'm tired lol.
Got to my house yesterday and spent a bit there. Trying to task myself a room to focus on each week until it's clear.
Grocery shopping yesterday. We've had a lot of carb items around for breakfast so went for different things to see what can be used. Easy meal things as well. I should find my paleo cookbooks to see what sounds good from those.5 -

I can't believe it. I haven't seen the one hundreds in the scale in 8 years! I usually weigh in on Fridays, but I missed last week because we took a mini vacation and stayed at an indoor waterpark with our kids. It was so fun but I definitely overate. I guess the exercise I got while I was climbing up all those stairs to get to the waterslides balanced it out. I am thrilled. I have now lost 24 lbs since Oct 27th.
Oh, and a non scale victory I had was I had the confidence to wear a two piece bathing suit! (high waisted of course)!

I need to get better at logging food and water. I have been so busy Hopefully gets better after this week. I went for a walk yesterday on lunch. I needed to get it done. I was super crabby. I wanted to get a second one in yesterday, but I didnt. I go one of two ways when I have super bad days. I wont eat and super lazy or I eat everything in sight. Yesterday was I didnt eat much. I keep telling myself I am going to have a better day mentally.
With that being said my daughter is preparing for her first solo and ensemble, that is Saturday morning. She is ready for it. But, with that she plays a very difficult instrument (bassoon), and only has played this one for a year and a half. I think i am more nervous than she is. If she does well she can compete in states. But her private instructor said she is 110% ready. So wish her luck.3 -

I just started back to a plan that worked for me in the past. I don’t count calories or track foods, but practice mindful eating, eating slowly, and intermittent fasting. I also cut out sugar and alcohol and drink plenty of water. So far it’s working - I’m down 4lbs in 4 days. I know it’s mostly water weight, but really happy to see the scale moving down instead of up.
I hope it’s ok that I post here, even though I’m not following the same plan as everyone else. If not, let me know. I won’t be offended. 😁

February Goals:
* Remain in a calorie deficit everyday with 1 exception day (husband's birthday celebration).
* This really ended up being two days. Birthday celebrations with friends happened on Saturday night and the eating was great. Had oysters and fish at dinner and the portions were small. Drinks are another story
* Dry February (with same exception as above).
* So, I has some drinks , we had a people over for a drink at our house first (sugar-free Kentucky Mule) and then we had some prosecco at dinner. I had 3 flutes and it was more than I needed. Not because of the 275 calories in the flutes, but it was paired with staying up until 2:00am and the the ensuing hangover the next day that robbed me of any motivation for movement. I did get right back on the bandwagon on Monday. It was very fun--but I'm too old for multiple drinks and late night shenanigans.
* Climb to the 25th floor at work 3 times daily.
* Check!!
* Exercise 3 times a week at minimum (running or strength, with at least 1 being strength).
* Check!! Snow has returned and so I've been doing videos at home and I am SORE.
* Complete a 29 day plank challenge.
* I missed Sunday on this one-Could have been an excuse to stop for the month (something I have been guilty of before). But I jumped back in am now at 1min 40sec. THIS IS REALLY HARD. I honestly don't know how I'm going to get to 4min by the end of the month. One day at a time!!

I have been feeling a bit down this week. I have lost almost 25lbs since October and NO ONE is noticing. My husband knows my focus and is very supportive but he always thinks I'm cute/look good. I am tall, so I have "worn my heavier weight well". I guess the polite thing is not to mention weight at all-so I should just move past it. We are going to see my parents next weekend and I haven see them much since the holidays so maybe they will notice. I did take pics mid-December. Maybe it's time to take pics 2 months later and put a visual to the progress.
Do you all take measurements and pictures?
Welcome new ladies!! @dutchgirl188 @Dia_R @robmab
I was new to this group in December and it really is the best!
@sharon81 I feel the same! Your progress is super inspiring. I hope you OWN a 50lb weight loss and don't get hung up on a few ounces when proclaiming victory to family/friends complimenting you.
@kristinwoods919 Sounds like you have had a hard week or two--but you are sticking with it and I am proud of you. There are so many excuses we can make to quit and you are overcoming all of them.
@CeCeFlyy @RavenStCloud @itladyee @CupcakeCrusoe @sarah12277 STEADY as a ROCK! Love hearing your updates, NSV, goals and progress!

Today was a really bad food day. But on a plus note. My daughter performed her solo at solo and ensemble today, she qualified for states!!! At 14 years old only playing the bassoon for a year and half. Proudest mom moment this year so far.10
