February 29:
(Leap year!)
I fell off the wagon early last month (after having two what I now see as successful months). I started at 159, got down to 153, now Iโm back at 156. I get discouraged really quickly by slow progress, so thatโs a challenge for me. Back to it!1 -
My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5โ 5โ tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018. I will be continuing my weigh-in dates on Sundays. It helps keep me accountable on the weekends.
Start Weight (from Jan 31st ): 181.6
Goal Weight: 177.6 (4 pound loss)
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iโll know it when I get there!)
Weight in blue makes me blue because itโs a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itโs a loss. Weight in black means no change.
02/01-183.4-(Trend Weight: 183.0)-
02/04-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)-
02/11-179.2-(Trend Weight: 181.7)-
02/18-179.2-(Trend Weight: 180.5)- Pile it on, whittle it off. Gosh, I thought the scale would go down a bit more considering how hungry I was yesterday and how well I coped/starved. I came within an inch of another binge, which I had the day before, this time it was hungry and cravings all rolled up into one. Then I looked at my watch and was shocked to see it was already after 2:00 a.m. So I said to myself, โDonna, you wonโt even be awake long enough to gloat in it or bask in its sunshineโ, so I didnโt do it. I must admit, had it been 9:00 pm I think I would have caved. There is more than one kind of strength training. The one with my handweights is much easier than this! Iโm already starting my day off still hungry. In fact, when I went to copy todayโs post to add to my saved format, I thought my computer said Pasta. It said Paste.
02/25-178.2-(Trend Weight: 180.1)- I was hoping for a bigger drop but there was those leftovers yesterdayโฆ. While โon planโ, it was the higher end of โon planโ because it contained some pasta in the casserole. That makes two days in a row of โnot idealโ, even if my macros said otherwise. Time to move on to some lean and mean today. I went shopping yesterday in my local grocery store. What the heck happened to the price of eggs (again)? My store is selling the regular store brand for $3.39 per dozen! What did I miss?
02/29-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Random stuff about me:I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random daysโฆthatโs why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. Working on getting back at least to my low weight of 200. I would like to eventually make it to 150 where I think I would be comfortable.

Total loss for February: Well, if I'm in maintenance, then I did great. I ended the month at exactly where I started. Go figure. I am down 9.2 pounds for the year. Final check-in for this challenge in two days for me. On to March - spring is on the way (after we get through this big winter storm).
Stick to it!

02/29-177.0-(Trend Weight: 179.5)- My lowest weight since the 2020 Pandemic shutdown! For the next couple of months I will be eyeing the 160โs and dreaming, longing and yearning for that new decade which will bring me even better health. Nice round everyone! The final count is a 4.6 loss for me in February. I will continue to make a 4 lb loss my monthly goal as I would love to lose 4 pounds a month even on the months that it just seems my body has a different idea. So any progress is very good and I am very happy to end with a loss this time around.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
