My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

    Start Weight (from Jan 31st ): 181.6
Goal Weight: 177.6 (4 pound loss)

    End of Challenge Weight: 177.0
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

02/24-178.4-(Trend Weight: 180.2)- I skyrocketed back up early in the week due to some travel but worked at it all week to get it back down. I am thrilled to show a 1.2 lb loss this week after such a hard battle. My final weigh in for February is on leap day in just 5 days. I hope to take a stand and make a mark on my goals.

02/29-177.0-(Trend Weight: 179.5)- My lowest weight since the 2020 Pandemic shutdown! For the next couple of months I will be eyeing the 160’s and dreaming, longing and yearning for that new decade which will bring me even better health. Nice round everyone! The final count is a 4.6 loss for me in February. I will continue to make a 4 lb loss my monthly goal as I would love to lose 4 pounds a month even on the months when it just seems my body has a different idea. So any progress is very good and I am very happy to end with a loss that met my goal. It’s rare.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I will weigh in on Saturdays and also on the first and last day of each month to get a monthly tally for myself. My weight swings back & forth a lot, mostly due to self-sabotage when I start doing well. However, I have managed to lose approximately 20 pounds since July of 2023. I expect the loss will begin to slow down a bit, but I am feeling pretty strong and confident that I can reach my goal in 2024.

03/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- No weigh Friday as I get up extra early to get grandson ready for the bus. I only weigh later if I lay back down but today I can’t. Also I take my once-per-week Fosamax on this day with 8 oz of water upon waking. Yesterday was a good clean eating day but hardly any movement or exercise so my calorie burn overall was very low. Today will probably not allow me much better. One of the new windows was put in yesterday in the bedroom and floor in bath was prepped for new sub=flooring. A flurry of activity here. Well, my friends, Its a new month. Time to “March” into better health and a more optimal weight (for most of us). Let’s go!

I change my workout plan this week from working each major body part 3x per week to 2x per week and balanced out the days as some went for 90 minutes. I also was slacking on the chest exercise day so I put that back in.

Over the course of February I added more Core and Stretch exercise and will continue.

Treadmill goal is a minimum of 30 minutes up to 45 minute daily, except Sunday.

    Stats-
    Beginning weight 01 April 2023 - 228
    Current weight - 159.6
Target weight - 138-148 (BMI below 25 but sustainable)

My weight loss has drastically slowed since New Year's, but I still feel like I'm making really good progress. Instead of body weight, I'm shedding mental weight. I'm making peace with the idea of it taking me the rest of this year to lose the last 10-15 pounds, since I want to continue to build the confidence that I can do this for the rest of my life.

As I near the year mark since starting on this journey, I am finding balance between the eating style that keeps me nourished and healthy and the eating style that celebrates occasions and new experiences. We've had a lot of "occasions" the past two months and I've been able to enjoy them without as much food worry AND have continued to lose, albeit at a slower rate. So I'm thinking that this year is more about developing that healthier relationship with food and my body than getting to that "ideal" weight, but I'll take any weight loss I can get. :)

    Yesterday I was at 66.1kg.

I’m fairly confident that with discipline I can reach that goal. I have been working towards that for the past few weeks except for a few slip up days in between. I’m looking forward to wearing my beautiful clothes again!

I have set a medium goal for myself to achieve below 60kg weight by June, in time for cricket T20 World Cup. Let us see ! I have to lose 2kg each month to get there!

My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

    Start Weight (from February 29th, 2024 ): 177.0
    Goal Weight: 145

End of Monthly Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Total Lost or Gained this Month: xxxxx

I will weigh in on Saturdays and also on the first and last day of each month to get a monthly tally for myself. My weight swings back & forth a lot, mostly due to self-sabotage when I start doing well. However, I have managed to lose approximately 20 pounds since July of 2023. I expect the loss will begin to slow down a bit, but I am feeling pretty strong and confident that I can reach my goal in 2024.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

03/16-181.2-(Trend Weight: 180.4)- What a horrible week for both food and exercise this has been! This 3 room renovation in the primary/ensuite/closet area has really tied my hands. I’ve been given the task of the online shopping for every single item from shoe cubbies to towel rings. All sitting. And the cravings for sugar are through the roof! Is my body looking for quick energy since it feels I’m not moving around as much as usual? Sitting on the computer is making me lazy! I’ve got to begin to turn this back around at some point. I do long for the day that my king sized bed isn’t sitting in the middle of my livingroom (where I am now sleeping), totes and boxes of supplies, clothes etc. aren’t piled up to it and I have some floor space again to exercise. And a little privacy too would be nice! But I am excited about the project, just not the road it takes to get there! Kind of like a diet, isn’t it?
