    Hi everyone,

I forgot to weigh in before eating today; so I will count my Monday morning scale weight as my Sunday weigh in.

    Enjoy your day!

My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

    Start Weight (from February 29th, 2024 ): 177.0
    Goal Weight: 145

End of Monthly Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Total Lost or Gained this Month: xxxxx

I will weigh in on Saturdays and also on the first and last day of each month to get a monthly tally for myself. My weight swings back & forth a lot, mostly due to self-sabotage when I start doing well. However, I have managed to lose approximately 20 pounds since July of 2023. I expect the loss will begin to slow down a bit, but I am feeling pretty strong and confident that I can reach my goal in 2024.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

03/16-181.2-(Trend Weight: 180.4)- What a horrible week for both food and exercise this has been! This 3 room renovation in the primary/ensuite/closet area has really tied my hands. I’ve been given the task of the online shopping for every single item from shoe cubbies to towel rings. All sitting. And the cravings for sugar are through the roof! Is my body looking for quick energy since it feels I’m not moving around as much as usual? Sitting on the computer is making me lazy! I’ve got to begin to turn this back around at some point. I do long for the day that my king sized bed isn’t sitting in the middle of my livingroom (where I am now sleeping), totes and boxes of supplies, clothes etc. aren’t piled up to it and I have some floor space again to exercise. And a little privacy too would be nice! But I am excited about the project, just not the road it takes to get there! Kind of like a diet, isn’t it?

    03/23-182.2-(Trend Weight: 180.3)- Oops!

    Hi everyone,

I'm jumping off here and joining a three months challenge that starts on April 1st. It might be best if I'm on just one challenge at a time.

Wishing you all the very best!

Just going to be done with March and focus on April.
What happened in March...Pizza appeared...which means an increase in carbs. Mixed drinks and wine = empty calories. Lots of snack attacks. Then got sick - 2 days of no exercise.

Checking in after a week out of my routine. I'm up a few pounds, which puts me back in the 160's but know some of that is water weight that will resolve in the next few days/week.

The progress I feel I've made in the past few months is that these times when I am thrown out of my routine and find myself overeating remind me that I don't like the way I feel when I move less and eat more. And since I'm giving myself until the end of the year to lose the last 15ish pounds, I'm not beating myself up over it. No need to make up for it with extra restriction or exercise, just go back to my routine that I enjoy enough to crave when I'm out of it.

I am looking forward to spring/summer when there's less pull towards comfort foods and hibernation. Hubby and I have booked a summer vacation visiting national parks in the western US with lots of hikes and activities. I would have been a bit nervous about something like this in the past, worrying that I would not be able to keep up or might even fail to complete some of the hikes. Now I have no worries about that. Hubby and I have been doing some conditioning hiking in our local state parks and the sections that I used to have to pause 2 or 3 times on are now barely leaving me winded when I do them in one straight shot.

04/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Easter dinner was at Golden Corral all-you-can eat buffet. I didn’t need to weigh to know I overate and gained.

04/06-181.6-(Trend Weight: 181.2)- March was a horrible month for me with plenty of ups & downs on the scale. Overall, it looks like I’m up and I can’t just blame Easter. I have had an insatiable craving for sugar, and I mean A LOT of it. Something has got to give or April will be bad too. I don’t need to go backwards to the point where I get lost completely.

    Hi everyone,

I dropped out for awhile and really slacked of, but now I'm ready to make a fresh start; so I'm jumping right back in! I forgot to weigh in before eating today; so I will count my Monday morning scale weight as my Sunday weigh in and will report my weight every Sunday going forward.

    Enjoy your day!
