    5lb challenge

    19/3 182
    26/3 182

That is frustrating, my weight had dropped by a pound but it's back up again. I'd forgotten just how strict I need to be to lose pounds. The good point is that I've really reined in the mindless snacking, so my weight shouldn't go up.

First week of the 5 pound challenge is in the bag. I didn't do too badly despite some restaurant meals. It's really been helping me pay more attention to what I eat. Now if I can find a way to work in some exercise and get more sleep.

Busy day today, so I'll post some quick goals and catch up reading later. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

We had a great time in Pittsburgh. Getting packed up and ready to head home. Libations and food flowed freely, so weight will be up tomorrow, but that’s ok. Hopefully it will be below my SW for the 5# challenge.

    JFT Mon
    - Up by 10:00 😀
    - Checkout by 11:00
    - Breakfast
    - Drive
    - Nap/love on dog & V  no nap
    - Spin at 6:00
    - Dinner  Tim cooked
    - Bed

The weekend away was good. Got to see old friends and see a couple of really great basketball games. Sunday was a bit of a bust. I've been struggling with exhaustion quite a bit lately, and after 2 busy days, I just couldn't hang on Sunday. We did stay out late Friday and Saturday, but we also slept in. Sunday we took a nap in the afternoon and I hoped that would help, but at dinner I was like a zombie. We went back to the hotel and I went to bed around 8:00. Tim was bored and went to a bourbon bar down the street to watch the games. He was very disappointed in the evening, as was I. They have been working to get my thyroid back in line for 6 months now and it still isn't there. Boy am I tired of being tired.

Drove home yesterday, and taught spin class. That is almost always a struggle right now, partially the exhaustion, partially the weight. Considering the activities of the weekend, I don't think I did too badly calorie wise, but I forgot to weigh in this morning so I won't know until tomorrow. Even if it's up a bit, I'm still working toward the 5# challenge, just a set back.

Today is work and spin. Hoping Tim makes dinner again. I really like eating at home after 2 months of eating out. I really need to clean the house before Tim's surgery Thursday. Well, if he has the surgery. He is having second thoughts. Not necessarily about the need for the surgery, but whether or not he should consult legal counsel prior to having it. His first surgery was Oct. 2022, the defect was detected Nov 2023, and confirmed by bone scan Dec 2023. There are 2 possibilities for the defect. One is surgeon error, and one is a faulty part. Either way I don't think we should have to pay for this second surgery. He is anxious and afraid the surgery will fail then he will be in pain the rest of his life with limited function of his right (dominant) arm. I get that, but wish he would have consulted legal sooner.

    JFT Tuesday

Not updated you guys in a while.

I haven't been logging but I know for sure that I've not been eating as much rubbish. Me and Ash went to the shops and bought lots of vegetables and salad, brown rice, and some chicken fillets and salmon. We've not eaten any biscuits, crisps etc. were really trying to cut down on the sugar as we reckon that will make the biggest difference!

We have been exercising since that first day. I've been doing one day off and one day on.

And today we took the girls after school to feed the ducks at the duck pond in the country park. But instead of walking back through the park to the main road we walked through the country park to get home instead. We picked the kids up at half 3 and didn't get home until quarter to 5.

The kids were knackered. But we promised them fizzy drink and strawberries when we got home and they did it! (Well they had no choice, there was no other way of getting back😂)

But yeah all is going well. Not weighed myself yet since SW. But will do soon!

    And my lunch from today!

    No snacking
    PF exercises
    Back exercises

I'm not logging today as I'm meeting friends for lunch. I know I won't be able to work out the calories. Just planning to enjoy it :)

@Bex953172 You are doing well, I'm impressed that you're keeping up with the exercise. I really dislike even doing my foot and back exercises. Does Ash need to lose weight as well, or is he doing it for the health aspect? Just being nosy :)

Good day yesterday. I did send out a few letters to lawyers concerning Tim's second surgery, but haven't heard back yet. Taught spin, but was a bit to knackered to actually perform the whole thing. Went to grocery and made dinner at home. Plan was to grill hamburgers, but we ran out of propane so they ended up being fried. They still tasted good though.

Weighed in this morning, and I'm only up 2# after my long weekend in Pittsburgh. Not bad all things considered and still below my starting weight. Tim is really anxious about his surgery tomorrow and when he is anxious he is cranky. I'm doing my best to roll with it. Truth is I'm nervous as well. Care taking is not my best thing, but I want to be what he needs over the next few weeks. I have taken vacation through Monday. He will be in the hospital until Saturday, so hopefully the major pain will subside prior to him coming home.

Tonight will be trivia, but I'm not sure Tim wants to go. If we go I will limit to 2 Ultra Lite Beers and a salad. We'll see how it goes.

    JFT Wednesday 27th

    THINK before I eat

Yeah he is a little but mostly he wants to build muscle. Thing is he drops weight dead quick lol so he's not too concerned!

We used to be very healthy years ago, him especially. We used to be at the gym all the time and cook healthy meals. But when we became skint we couldn't afford the healthier foods. And then bad habits grow and now we're both trying to correct all that.

Finally had my tooth filled today.
What was apparently should take 15 minutes took nearly an hour!

And one injection turned into 4!
    One filling turned into two!

But he also cleaned all the calculus off my teeth too.

My appointment was at 11am and my lips are still numb nearly 3 hours later! But my teeth are starting to hurt :(
Just tried to eat a cookie. And couldn't. Shouldn't be having one anyway but I'm bloody hungry lol

So my life is in upheaval right now. I have to have a second procedure on my retina tomorrow. I am in the process of canceling my April trip. This second procedure will be no piece of cake! (at least no calories in it) I'm trying to prepare mentally and physically for minimum 1 week down to a month.

Hour commitment - I won't eat again until after 5 pm. None of the same foods at dinner as at lunch. Can still have my dose of metamusal.
