74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

3/27 181.8 Looking forward to this round. Hoping everyone meets their goals!
3/28 182.4 Lots of gardening and a small walk around the lake.
3/29 182.6 Ate at a Greek restaurant last night and it was delicious. I made really good choices compared to what we usually get there, but I had eaten so little all day that I had a small binge in the afternoon of things I haven’t eaten in a while. Taking granddaughter on a picnic today as she’s off of school for Good Friday. Gotta be careful today.
3/30 182.6 Ate healthy foods at our picnic in the mountains. Did NOT eat a fried pie which is something we always get up there, although hubby bought SIX. I made him hide them when we got home. Hiked a little and share my love of the mountains with DGD. It was a good day!

Donna, remember that All You Can Eat doesn’t mean you have to eat it all.
@quiltingjaine, No, I usually just eat the unhealthy stuff. Eating disorders suck but I really am learning to incorporate a few better things, little by little.7 -

3/30- 187.6 normal weight pattern. Spending some time this morning thinking about how to navigate family Easter food tomorrow. It’s good for me to think about ahead of time while I’m not hungry.
I have a good plan in place to enjoy the dishes I love and avoid filling up on food I don’t care about.
But really, plans splans, I’m going to be white knuckling it and hoping for the best. Please for the love of god, don’t let there be a giant candy bowl filled with starburst jellybeans…
@skyleen75 I LOVE LOVE LOVE your two ideas. 1. Make a plan ahead of time when not hungry 2. Skipping the dishes that don't matter and focusing on what you want most will save calories and carbs.
This will definitely help me in the future but I'm not so sure about tomorrow. Due to the Renovation, we are meeting out-of-town for dinner. The family has taken a vote and they all want Golden Corral (which will be open). It's about 4 hours round trip so on top of an all-you-can-eat buffet menu it will be a lot of sitting. I don't know how well these great ideas will work at a buffet but I will put it to the test! Happy Easter!
I navigate places like golden corral by getting small spoonfuls of many things and not having more than one plate. Or getting a big salad at the beginning. Drinks of water between mouthfuls helps fill me up too. I do the same things at family dinners, potlucks etc. I like being able to pick my own portion sizes because American portions are huge!7 -

3/29- 163.3 Went 250 calories over because I got confused adding up lunch calories. Drank plenty of water today which I haven't been doing lately.
3/30- 161.6 New low. Within calories today but didn't drink enough water. I need to work on filling up and using a water bottle.

What goes up will come down again. This round might just be an example of experiencing a gain and not giving up.
Not my favorite lesson but an important one.
An important step in this lesson is eating carrot cake.6 -
🎷 65 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 255 (my 185th). So grateful for all the support from you guys in this group
Goals for this round; to lose! To be consistent and lose something.
Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

All in all yesterday I did well except for one detail. DiGiornos rising crust frozen pizza for supper. We were both tired and wanted something easy as we watched UConn TROUNCE Illinois. (I was rooting for Illinois) Kiddos over today for Easter Dinner after church. Four generations involved. Double smoked spiral sliced ham on the menu. It involves application of maple syrup followed by spiced rub between each slice before going on the smoker. Meat candy essentially. Don’t expect to see a drop tomorrow.

I like being able to pick my own portion sizes because American portions are huge!
Lol! I’m tagging all of you as all my favorite posts this round!!🥇🥈🥉
I would add to really emphasize W-A-T-E-R💦💧being the key word here! And my own tip to drink water really sucks for me because I’m the type that finds the most joy out of food by drinking soda in between bites. So that tip for me translates to “take some of the joy out of it” but if i was in that situation and wanted to prevent a gain. I would follow my own sad advice.
Also I would add: check out their menu ahead!!

Best of luck!!

Just want to report my 🎾 team won 🏆 our division yesterday and we are headed to state at the end of April. It’s just plain fun. I was EXHAUSTED after the match. As captain, it’s impossible to not be emotionally invested. Last night I was so hungry. Ate a burger with bacon & cheese. No bun. Scale approved this morn but will probably show up tomorrow. Crazy. Will drink tons of 💦 today. Sunrise walk now, then catch up with life today. Yes, will 🙆♀️🤸🏼📿🏋️♀️. Will do it all!
NSV: Since I went out of my regular eating patterns yesterday, I’ll follow up with plenty of water today. It’s a helpful habit.
3/28 Yesterday I got sidetracked - it was as if I had a worm in my brain devouring every rational thought. I had planned all of my workouts -and the moment I started thinking about my tennis team going to state, I didn’t stop thinking about it for 14 hours… THAT is an unhelpful habit!
Today- Headed out the door for my morning walk then a full day, preparing to head out of town before daybreak tomorrow!
3/29 ⚖️ forgot to weigh this morn. All ✅ except 🏋️♀️ yesterday. Too distracted again…. On the road @3:30am. Packed resistance bands and jump rope 📿… and HM. Will check in tomorrow just to read entries. ☦️
3/30 DNW zero movement except for stretching each time we stopped. 15 hours in the car -three hrs over due to accidents. Glad we are here safe. ✅ food & 💦! Today:BEACH WALK with DH side of family. Will be fun.
@ judefit congrats on your milestone! Keep it up!
3/31 DNW Happy Easter!
Yesterday: 16k steps. Beach time. Ate according to plan… Just a little more than usual - no desserts & lots of protein. Lots of 💦. Walked 3.5 miles this morning before everyone got up… We are headed to a Southern Lawn party later today … Will enjoy the food staying away from carbs & desert. Staying away from carbs and dessert is NBD anymore… If I see something, I absolutely must taste I will, but not planning on it …. Gorgeous day ahead of us. Sending ❤️ and hope.

WOE since 7/2023: Whole Foods. No processed foods. Animal-based proteins. EGGS, Beef, pork, chicken, seafood, venison and grass-fed whey protein. I count macros & kcals - always will. (Since portion control is my issue). Keto is high-fat but I’m now leaning lower healthy fats with leaner proteins. I had paralyzing IBS for 20 years. My mother was diagnosed with celiac’s disease in her 50’s. Following her lead, I eliminated wheat, oat, barley, and rye several years ago…. Dairy? Hard cheese, HWC and butter - an occasional Greek yogurt. Vegetables destroy my digestive system… I love vegetables, but when I splurge, I pay for it for a few days… I do enjoy berries, lemons, limes. Avocados are my weakness. Enjoy a piece of dark chocolate on occasion. Generally, I eat btw noon and 6 pm. (IF18/6). Alcohol? Used to be a social drinker and would enjoy a good martini/scotch or Paloma at home while cooking dinner. NO MORE. Root of many evils. Primarily, the destruction of will power and the enemy of optimal choices. I’d rather journey toward my best-self. I haven’t given up alcohol completely, but I enjoy it sparingly on special occasions. This is me. I finally feel terrific.

But that does equal disaster for me when it comes to my healthy living plans. Thinking about my plans for Easter today and trying not to eat right now as I’m having post-drinking cravings. <<gulping down 40 oz water💦>> that’s better!!

Happy new round! It’s a cold, wet, windy morning here, so I’m hoping to finish a cardigan I’m knitting. That’s exercise, right? 🤪 I’ve been knitting up a storm the past few months—can’t snack when knitting. Here’s a wrap I finished last week.
3/28 - 195
I seem to be stuck. But I’m listening to my body better and snacking a lot less, so all good. I finished my cardigan yesterday—here it is (I haven’t washed it yet). I’ll stop now with the knitting. 😊

It’s cold this morning but nice and sunny and it’s supposed to warm up. I’m hoping to get outside for a little start on garden cleanup and a nice walk this afternoon. Enjoy your day!

Stuckity stuck stuck! 😊 It’s a rain rain rainy day, so I’m going to my friend’s house to knit for a couple hours and have lunch—a good use for a rainy chilly day. Happy Saturday, all!

Charlie chased the Easter bunny out of the yard last night, so I don’t think we’ll be having any chocolate. 🤣 We’re actually eating pretty healthy since it’s just me and DH—he’s making a turkey breast, asparagus, and oven roasted potatoes for late lunch/early dinner, and I made French toast (I use thin-sliced Dave’s Good Seed, which makes delicious French toast, and use a little raspberry spread, no sweeteners—yummy). I’m hoping to get a walk in, but right now it’s cold and rainy. Anyway…Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. What I do at Golden Corral - I get 1/2 a plate of salad and add 2 pieces of tomato, onions, green peppers, blue cheese crumbles and red wine vinegar. I get 1 fried chicken thigh - I love the crunchy coating and skin, one hush puppy. If I want something more I will go back if they have boiled cabbage or broccoli or cauliflower that doesn’t look cooked to death. I always take my own real butter for my veggies. If I want dessert, I get the NSA vanilla cake (the last time we were there, I think the sign had been changed to Sugar Free) and an extra dollop of their whipped topping.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

3/27 – 137.5
3/28 - 136.5 Yesterday was a good day. Cleaned in preparation for the arrival of DGD#2 this evening.
3/29 - 136.0 DGD’s flight was delayed about 7 hours so I’m a bit sleep deprived. Today is DGD#3’s 21st birthday. Her mom woke her at 11:45 last night and took her for her first adult beverage and a chance to win at a slot machine.
3/30 - 134.0 I had 2 eggs for brunch and beef brisket for dinner. 3 sips of celebratory champagne at nail salon. DGD#2 spent the day and night with her cousins and aunt and uncle after the ladies got pedis and I got a mani.
3/31 - 134.0 Tried a place our daughter told us about that is owned by a friend of hers. All I ate all day were those 2 tacquitos.7 -

03/29 -178.4- (Trend weight 180.8)
03/30 -178.8- (Trend weight 180.6) A small increase due to some Easter candy brought in for me. When I don’t buy it or have it in the house it is a lot more limited. Much better for my waistline! Still trending downward.
03/31 -179.6- (Trend weight180.6) Well, off I go to the Golden Corral in just a bit. I appreciate all the great advice and the menu that was shared. Yuck, Yuck @quiltingjaine on all those veggies you choose. It’s wonderful but you know I don’t eat that healthy stuff! I don’t tend to go hog-wild on carbs because I’m not a fruit or veggie eater. I don’t eat lettuce or salad either because of that. But I can (and will) choose some cottage cheese and maybe a little applesauce before I get a plate to help fill me up. I don’t drink soda so I will stick to water. I am a meat and dairy eater so I will just have to watch my quantities. I do love bread so I will have to limit that to one hush puppy or dinner roll. But, oh my Goodness, that dessert table. And I have never seen a sugar free version of anything on it where I go. I’ve got to pull back on that for sure and then I should be okay. I will probably avoid a weigh-in tomorrow as my body is not used to restaurant food at all, unless I am traveling. My biggest weapon today will be that I will be thinking of all of you when I am standing at the buffet choosing my foods. Others should not be sacrificing while I make dinner a free-for-all. Thanks for all the advice. Water, water, water!

62 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then weight up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress took off another 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress became gain)

GW Maintaining between 124 - 126
Continuing to figure out maintaining, and to work on best nutrition and exercise.
History:Harry and Han are our cats, who travel with us. Have two “kids”, who are very much adults, a DGS, and second GS on the way. We have two parents, 87(mother), 85(MIL) still with us, and I have logically been needing to help them more as they age. I got my act in gear during COVID, somewhat inspired by NOT becoming my parents. I lost 30 lbs and was exercising daily. Unfortunately, I am an “all in or not” person. Hubby and I seeing our family home and downsizing distractions, plus medical incident with my father and all their new needs, became an excuse (father has since passed and I am DPOA, Personal representative AKA executor, trustee, and oversee the majority of my mother’s care). A year and a half later, I gained 25 lbs and lost all my athletic improvements. I need to figure out balance and how to make health be a daily priority for life!

Day/Weight/Comment
3/27 – 126.4 Lots went on in the round that I missed, but I will not bore you all. Glad I am back! Handled DH’s 63rd birthday well, yesterday. Glad to see the scale agreed. The prior two days, I had eaten appropriate calories but had gained each of those days. Yesterday, similar calories, but weight came back down. I know if I were not tracking, I would be tempted to tailspin due to seeing those “ups”.
The “boys” (my cats) are still getting weighed regularly. If you see in my history, Harry was dropping weight (not eating and vomiting) and spent a bunch at the vet. Anyhow, I’ve got that turned around. My goal was 11.25 lbs. I overshot now with him and am now watching that he does not go higher. Han Solo, my rescue that was found at 7 lb, I always have to watch his weight. Grateful for microchipped pet feeders.
3/28 – 126.4 Had a basic day. Tracked everything, but I am not pushing myself for losses, even though I would love one or two more pounds off. The good thing is that I living well, though tracking, and for the most part and am staying steady.
3/29 – 125.8 I think I need to eat corn more often. :P It is the only thing different the past couple days. But I’ll take it!
3/30 – 125.0 Movement has been slow, but this is my best number since my father’s death in October.I am glad that in the aftermath (which is still going on) that I did not tailspin!
3/31 – 124.8 Nice to see, especially today since I don’t think I will track accurately today. I’ll worry about it tomorrow.

Hi, I'm Charissa, back for another round. I will keep coming back and I will get this thing right, sooner or later. Hopefully sooner!
Thank you, QuiltingJaine, for keeping us focused in 2024!
@musicsax for getting us ready for round 255!
So here we go 2024... my motto -
🏋🏾♀️ Don't think, just do it!!
Eat well 🥗to Live Well 🚢✈️🧳
Note to Self: Alcohol kills weight loss as the focus is burning alcohol calories and not fat calories!
Goals this round:
- Tracking/Under Calorie Budget 🍎
- Macros - hit Protein ✅
- Water - 64oz minimum > trying hard for 80💧
- Closing my rings M-F🚶🏽
Same goals... just need 100% execution! I totally tanked the last round and compare to last year...it must be this time of year. I was starting to get excited because the weather was nicer and I could get outside....then it got cold again and snowed!
I need to revisit and implement some basics that I kick to the curb last round. It's not like I don't know what to do...just need to do it

Dates = Weight ; Comments regarding prior day.
3/27 ~ 219.0
3/28 ~ 219.2 Something happened Tue night that felt like food poisoning...but I didn't have anything to eat that was suspect, but I felt horrible. Stayed home yesterday, no work out just rested. Didn't get my water in either. Working from home today, still resting (no workout) but will get at least 64 ounces of water in and get some planning done for the rest of the round.
3/29 218.4 Continued to take it easy yesterday. Today, almost back to normal.
3/30 ~ 218.4
3/31 ~ 218.4 Worked out Friday and Saturday. Was going to make up one of the days I missed today but decided to enjoy the day. Might go for a walk later if it's not raining. Planned an entire month of meals so I'm ready for April!

3/31 181.8 Happy Easter, everyone!
