    Can totally see why! That kinda stuff irks me too and people need to change their perceptions of mature badass women like us!!

    I have messaged the person on facebook who found them and asked for help. That was an hour and a half ago. I’m waiting for a response.

    Free spay and neuter clinics exist here. The county accepts kitten rescue/surrenders pretty much every day.
    May those who dump kittens in boxes by the side of a busy road in the middle of the night have the day, the week, the month, the year, and the decade they deserve.

    Truth is I tried, but the person who posted about them did so anonymously. And then never responded to any of the replies.
    And I got a pm from someone who knows the situation from a CPS standpoint and advised me that the kittens should not go back to the owner if possible, because it’s a tragic hoarding situation in the home.
    Turns out the kittens weren’t dumped. The situation inside the house is so bad that mama cat chose outdoors in the cold over inside the house.

    I have some sympathy for the situation, because hoarding is an extreme anxiety issue, often with other mental illness comorbidities. In some way it’s better than someone who just dumped the kittens.
    But also still tragic and sad.

    Someone from the local shelter is now involved. I don’t know at this time what the outcome is, but it’s probably not good.
