Flying super early tomorrow and coming home the next day. Flight is only 2 1/2 hours. I want to lift after coming home, but I've read you shouldn't?

In the places that say that, what's their reasoning that's of concern to you?
Flying can be physically stressful (immobility, water retention, dehydration, etc.), so I personally wouldn't plan an intense workout of any type right after a flight, and would be guided by how I felt to decide whether to work out at all.1 -
I've read it's taxing on the body, but I figured if I'm rested and hydrated, it shouldn't be an issue.1
