    1) No dessert today (last 4/13) unless I want sugarfree or no sugar added.
    2) None of DH's stash ok today (including candy, chocolate raisins, peeps, ice cream, Valentine candies).
    3) No peanut butter ok today, 2.5 to 3 T (last 4/17)
    4) I won't weigh again until Monday, Apr 22.
    5) Up to 2.0 oz hard cheese ok today (trying not to have cheese everyday) (last 4/16). Note: some grated parmigiana cheese has always been allowed and doesn't count towards hard cheese. Hard cheese at restaurant ok. Can have cheese with restaurant meals.
    6) No honey ok today(1-3 Tbsp.). (last1/25) (a little in honey mustard ok)(last)
    7) Nuts ok (22-30 g) or 12-14 in-the-shell nuts. (last 1/20) Additional nuts in a meal are ok. Like almonds already in green beans. No peanuts today.

    @littleblackskirt - I have been stretching my calves, probably not often enough though.

    It seems everyday I find a new pain. I’m like you, I know if I could get in shape that it would help a lot. It’s so hard to get in shape when you’re in pain though. It’s a vicious cycle.

    @mytime6630 - that sounds like a cold that turned into pneumonia. I hope you’re healing well.

    Hour commitment - After I finish my cabbage/chicken salad, I won't eat again until after 5 pm. None of the same foods at dinner as at lunch. Can still have my ice and dose of metamusal.

    Yesterday was better than Tuesday. Today is better than yesterday. I'm starting to adjust to the new normal that isn't very normal. Didn't even cry when I did Tim's infusion yesterday. It does however take almost twice as long as the directions claim.

    Not much on the agenda today other than meetings and more meetings. Then I'll go to mom's to sort her bills. I offered to take her shopping this evening, but she didn't bother to reply to my message so I made other plans. I sent the message Monday. There is no way she didn't see it. The bitter part of me wants to tell her that she obviously doesn't need a phone if she doesn't know how to use it, but I'm not that person. Well, internally I have thoughts, but I work really hard not to act on them.

    Good morning! I’ve been trying to get caught up reading past posts but then iit ends up too late to post my own goals, so I’m jumping on with a few goals for today, and I’ll catch up as I can. I can only read for a short period of time before I get a migraine-type aura since finishing chemo so it’s really cutting into screen time. I hope everyone is doing well!

    Just For Thursday, 4/18:
    1. Make a food plan for today. 😊 Done
    2. 64 oz water before 6 pm
    3. Dr appointment
    4. Close 2 activity rings on watch
    5. Log every bite. Close Food Diary at end of day.
    6. Walmart Rx pick-up
    7. Evening routine.

    We ended up going to a local brewery for dinner so I had one beer. Not the plan, but way better than my typical 3 beers. Since Tim can't drink, we don't stay as long and I don't mind.

    Mom was her typical selfish self. I don't know why I let her get to me, but I do. Oh well, I only have to deal with her on Thursdays. I try to communicate during the week, but she won't answer my texts.

    Grocery was ok, we had a small cart and still had a $200+ bill at the end. I'm not even sure what we bought. No meat, no cleaners, just staples and some snack type things. Prices are crazy.

    Nothing planned for today unless I go to by mulch so that I can work outside tomorrow. I'm really not a fan of landscaping, but the front of the house looks awful. So Saturday after spin class and before going to the theater, digging it is.

    We've been trying to dig out a flower bed for our garden. Weve got the shape of it done and dug out lots of soil only to find there was lots of rubble and bricks under it. Alot of it was still stuck together.
    So my dad came round as he has certain tools to help us break it up and pull it all out.

    We then discovered something metal in the soil. Started trying to dig that out until we realised that there's a huge oil tank under the garden. So we just kinda.. put the soil back on top LOL
    So yeah..

    Not a fan of the gardening either but it's starting to take shape now! Plants go in this Sunday we hope!

    Went to the doctor yesterday. I’ve had pain in my right leg making it difficult to walk for the past few months. Doctor thinks it’s suspicious for SI joint or sacroiliac issue so I’ll be going to PT. I’m frustrated because I need to start walking and build my strength back up but my leg isn’t letting me. One day at a time….I just need to have patience I guess. 😉😊

    I'm gonna start logging again I think.
    Feel like I did much better when I was logging and also had more guilt when I was logging. Which sounds bad but guilt keeps me on track 😂

    I'm literally eating what I want with no Fs given!

    Yesterday was ok. Today I’d busy, but not bad. I’ve already taught spin class and am back home. Tim is still sleeping, and I wanted to talk to him before I started the landscaping work. I’ll give him another 15 minutes then I’ll get started.

    Looking forward to seeing Cabaret this evening. Chance to get dressed up a bit and feel pretty out at least not frumpy.

    Hour commitment - I won't eat again until after 12 pm.

    JFT for 4/20/24 (today)✔️
    1) Can have dessert today (last 4/13), but none of DH's stuff.
    2) None of DH's stash ok today (including candy, chocolate raisins, peeps, ice cream, Valentine candies).
    3) No peanut butter ok today, 2.5 to 3 T (last 4/17)
    4) I won't weigh again until Monday, Apr 22.
    5) Up to 2.0 oz hard cheese ok today (trying not to have cheese everyday) (last 4/18). Note: some grated parmigiana cheese has always been allowed and doesn't count towards hard cheese. Hard cheese at restaurant ok. Can have cheese with restaurant meals.
    6) No honey ok today(1-3 Tbsp.). (last1/25) (a little in honey mustard ok)(last)
    7) Nuts ok (22-30 g) or 12-14 in-the-shell nuts. (last 1/20) Additional nuts in a meal are ok. Like almonds already in green beans. No peanuts today.
    8) Chicken vienna sausage today or sausages DH got ok (trying not to have higher sodium stuff everyday)(last 4/14)
    9) Sweet potato and/or pumpkin ok today.
    10) Only 1 ice drink today.
    11) Bakers chocolate ok today.(last 4/18)
    12) A few tic-tacs as needed everyday. (No max for now, unless it's a problem)
    13) Harvest Snaps(22-30 g) ok today. (last 4/18)
    14) No more than 600 calories for lunch.
    15) No real butter today, unless in cooking.. Can have at restaurants
    16) No chestnut puree today (don't want to have every day)(last 4/19)

    @Bex953172 I totally get that guilt in logging food works for you. Same for me. When I skip logging, it's as if I think food no longer has calories, and I can eat whatever I want. Oops 😬

    JFT 4/20 ~ breezy, chilly with temps below normal, overcast, and I just don't want to walk dog in this weather
    1) Salmon & veg for supper / log all food / 64+ oz. water
    2) PT exercises
    3) Last winter market of season / boil eggs / prep eggroll order & offering for Sunday church / read / other?

    Had a good visit at my parents' but didn't see any of my brothers. Although oldest brother was back in town from work road trip, he was very grateful I took Mom to her eye appt. so he didn't have to. I had no idea her testing would take so long, she was in there over 90 minutes. Very glad I took a book to read. And she was so happy I drove her.

    3/30/24 = 182 working hard to clean house & prep food for Easter dinner, no dog walks for one week due to that & weather

    4/12/24 = 182 still some Easter treats, but more dog walks too
    4/20/24 = 183.5 ack! too few dog walks due to weather & overnight travel, plus still some Easter treats around

    2024 Goals:
    1) Ultimate goal weight 150#... I'll be thrilled if I can get back down to 160# this year
    • Post weekly weigh-in on MFP for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I track daily on a separate app (for the visual). My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    • Take measurements & log on MFP every month end
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    • Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26 but no new recipes yet.
      * lentil rice sausage tortellini soup ~ very good, recipe is keeper
      * glazed lemon cookies ~ everyone loved them at Easter dinner
    3) Exercise 5-6x per week (minimum 4x):
    January: 5 days x2wks, 4x1, 3x1, 1x1 [1 wk lots of snow & 1 wk bitter cold so shoveling, treadmill & PT, 1 wk 4 day trips out of town]
    February: 6 days x1wk, 5x1, 4x1, 2x1 [2 wks overnight trips to visit parents]
    March: 5 days x1wk, 4x1, 3x1, 0x1 [ack... prep house & food for Easter dinner; 1 wk overnight trip to visit parents]
    • Walk dog 3-4 miles, treadmill when necessary in winter, weights/my home version of circuit & other x-training
    • PT (physical therapy) exercises to strengthen arthritic knees & hip flexor
    4) MapMyWalk app You Vs. the Year 1,024km challenge started on Jan. 1
    • In 2023 I logged 726.88 miles, or 1,169.8 km & completed yearly challenge 11.14.23 :star:
    • In 2022 I logged 500.4 miles, or 805km (knee issues).
    5) At least 7,500 steps per day
    • I can earn $10 every month on my Medicare Advantage Plan with 10+ days of 7,500 steps:
      Jan / Feb / Mar / Apr
    6) Participate in my favorite area races ~ I walk, I do not run
    • Registered 12.29.23 for Bellin 10K race on 6.8.24 & eligible to have race fee waived ~ rats, no waiver of fee
    • Register for my other usual events, and add other possible events
    7) Be considerate and loving to hubby and have fun together

    8) Make efforts to keep in touch with parents, siblings and friends (most live in other towns or states)
    • Visit parents 1-2 times each month, phone calls in between ~ they're in their late 80s and live 85 miles away

    • Not as much progress as I hoped last year, but not worse.
