Got in 12,000 steps yesterday after my morning volunteer work. Then, went to my annual well woman appointment and they took my weight and BP upon arrival. Down 10 lbs from my previous visit in 2023 and BP reading was 117/72. I am positive that LA on a continuum of over 14 months is contributing to my personal health goals. I’m not on any medications (yet) - grateful for good genes. I do LA for better energy, weight loss, and to avoid potential diseases as I get older.

Great news and congrats to you because you made this happen! I totally believe the fact you prioritized yourself and your goals resulted in these good results. I look up to you, since I aim to do the same, I too do LA for better energy, weight loss, and avoiding disease (and surgery). Best quality of life is what it's about.

@globalhiker we have been here awhile together, and I appreciate you! Very similar goals indeed! I am sure you would agree, the journey is not a linear straight line at all, but with ups and downs and u turns, but ultimately things can change or improve over time if we keep aiming for our goals.

Not sure if I’ll have a drink tonight. It depends on if I stop at the store on the way home from the hospital.

@SparkSpringtime69 I think it’s excessive too, but she’ll be in the hospital long enough to turn around.

Drank 2-1/2 glasses last night before hubby finished his movie and declared it bedtime.

The past few times I’ve had wine at night, I didn’t feel so well in the morning… light-headed verging on dizzy and stomach pains/nausea. I’m not drinking enough to be beyond tipsy, and I never get a hangover after that little. So, it is getting easier to go without to avoid that feeling in the morning.

    Happy Saturday!

Finished the Decoy Featherweight low A wine last night. Very full Sav Blanc flavor for a light wine.
Am a few days behind my total AF days for April. I did start tracking exact servings in my calendar (diary style) on A days and am doing a satisfactory job here. Tonight, back to flavored sparkling waters and tea.

Practice and effort over perfection they say! I know every day is a new beginning.
May you be kind to yourselves this weekend my LA friends.

Surprisingly, I did not drink tonight and will be heading to bed momentarily. Too much stress, and my husband has now decided I have to go back to work. (Don’t know if I’ve said that yet or not. I’ve been hoping he’d change his mind.) I just applied to a couple jobs this evening with a company where I know almost everyone.

I had to go buy reading glasses today after destroying my glasses last night. Going to the optical shop tomorrow morning to see if I can get my glasses fixed or have to buy new.

I had two bottles of wine sitting on the counter that had less than 4 oz in each. So, I finished those last night… I’m telling myself it was in an effort to declutter my kitchen, but really I wanted wine and it was all I had. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Glasses are being fixed, job interview today at 3:00, woke up to a nastily sick dog (had to scrub floors and didn’t even have my 1st cup of coffee), and will be making a panel skirt for my daughter’s 1920’s Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde costume she has to wear on Friday.

Welcome to all the newcomers! And, thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement! @Michieb125 you are always so sweet to acknowledge everyone.🥰

@Michieb125 I have been so bad lately about posting here thank you for asking about DH

We or I should say DH had his colonoscopy last Wednesday. 4 polyps were removed ranging in size from 4mm-8mm in size. The Dr. has sent the sample off to the lab but felt based on how they looked they were per-cancerous. This is good and he assured us he removed all of the tissue. We do a follow up next tuesday where we get the lab results (I hope). Anyway he said if it turns out C then he would want to do another colonoscopy in a year, if there is no C then see him back in 3 years.

No as to A, still doing well. I sometimes or not have a 4oz pour of wine with my dinner then stop. I feel good about this. Now I do use gummies which may be just a replacement for my wine...I have thought about this, but in my defense it helps the pain associated with my arthritis.

DD (1st born one lol out of 3) is planning a 5 day vacation with us following them to WI. This is a 5-6 hour drive from our home and she is looking at waterparks/zoo's/museums etc. for us all to do. The last time we did this we shared a 2 bedroom condo in a time share in SC. As a parent and grandparent....we like a little bit more space between us the little ones. LOL they are now 8 and 14. Maybe it will be better than 2 and 8.

Next week after the Dr. appointment we are going to take off on a 'just us' vacation and go up the east coast. @MissMay we may even get as far as your old stomping grounds.
