Okay...so here goes....Sorry if I missed anyone. Trying hard to catch up!

Sdavidneill- Could be the cold medication that is causing you to retain water.....also doctors always say drink lots of liquid when you are sick because your body gets dehydrated.....so maybe your body naturally retains water to avoid dehydration...Does that make sense...I know what I'm trying to say but for some reason can't get it out!! LOL I hope you are feeling better!!

Meggamix- Glad there are no side effects!! Hope you are doing well with your goals

Kdet07- Congrats :) Excited for you!!!!

Kah78- Happy Belated Birthday!!!! Glad you had a good one! Don't worry bout the .6lbs....maybe you just had to pee a little more...or ate a little bit more salt that you usually do! ;):)

Batgirlbox- I would call your doctor and follow what they say.....every doctor is different. My doctor wants to know every detail when it happens.

Cupcake- Keep us updated with regards to the results....I'm sure everything will be ok! *hugs*

Mrsjenfrank- Congrats on the weight loss! That is fantastic...keep it up!! Proud of you!

GBOH- Will keep my fingers crossed for the seamstress to be able to work her magic!!

Emily- Will catch you in the PM as usual! LOL

AFM- Sorry i had to vent the pee thing...LOL Anyway....I went to do my blood work and ultrasound today....I know I"m not pregnant and lets hope that if I get my next period it is normal. I'm getting back to eating healthy and more physical....so hopefully I will continue to see results.

I had a scary experience last night....I was having weird dreams....and I woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air......I don't recall that every happening to me before unless I just don't remember as a kid.....it freaked me right out.....It was like in the movies when you see someone laying there not breathing....then all of a sudden they wake up and take this huge breath.in and start gasping.......I don't know how else to describe it....but it gave me the creeps to sleep after so I didn't fall back into a deep sleep after that...

This happen to anyone else? I feel crazy! LOL

I hope everyone is well and has a good week:)

Nope - he didn`t mention it today, and hopefully it stays that way (although it would be cool either way).....

Okay - so this is the deal....for the last week, I`ve been RAVENOUS. I can`t stop eating. My stomach is growling 5 minutes after dinner, I am craving all kinds of junk......this is different than before when I used to eat, I would be hungry hungry hungry and then survive for 2-3 hours and then be hungry again....now it`s constant. Anyone else have the issue...what can I do beside just not eating.......

Congrats on all the BFPs! Thats so wonderful!

Its only Tuesday? Sheesh what a crazy week for me already! Yesterday DD had her Kindermusik class in the next town over, so we usually make a whole day of it, go grocery shopping, and out to lunch. But it was DHs payday so we had to come home to pick up his check in time and get it to the bank. Long day. Anyway, when we got home I saw that two of my dogs were covered in something yucky, but at the exact moment I noticed that, I also noticed that DD had a major diaper blow out. So I didn't get to check the dogs until way later and when I finally did I saw that they were covered in BLOOD! Long story short, they tore a whole in our fence just big enough to stick their heads in and fight with our neighbor dogs. So my female got some pretty good cuts on her head, and my male got hurt pretty bad on his actual eyeballs. Poor things! So today was another long day trying to get them to the vet with a toddler. Ughhhh so exhausting! And tomorrow I have to get my car inspected so I can renew the registration on it. Which will be yet another long day! And my husband and I have decided to go car shopping this weekend, so there's even more long days in my future

As far as BDing goes, I don't think it happened for us this month. I'm kind of at peace with that. I'm *trying* really hard not to let myself stress about it. Hope everyone is having a great week! Baby dust to us all!

Huge congrats to batgirl and DT!

Welcome to Pokee, that's a really interesting fact!

Hope your dogs are on the mend destar, hope you get a break and some time for yourself when you have all that necessary stuff out of the way.

    Sending sticky thoughts Julia!

I have the same thing at times Pam, all I can generally do is either make sure I have lots of healthy snacks like carrot sticks or celery around or go and do something that occupies my hands and my brain. Sometimes I use my hula hoop for a bit or go for a walk to remove myself from temptation. Lots of water or herbal tea helps as well

Oh and thanks to all those who asked about my singing, I'll update you on how that's all going soon. It's kind of unusual in that I sing with a group of women doing sea shanties! Not the sort of music I would listen to but great fun to sing. We also do some old blues type stuff, mainly what would have been work songs. The cd is mainly for demo purposes to get a few more gigs.

    Howdy All

Destar- I hope your dogs are OK, poor things, my kitty recently got in a fight so I feel you!

Pokee- Welcome! I like your way of viewing your lack of growth when you were 5 lol

AFM: I am now 4 days late and still all BFN's UGH....has anyone had this happen before? I spot for like half a day and then it completely disappears. At this point I am totally OK with not being pregnant but I would like to know what is going on and why I'm missing a period which is NOT normal for it. The reason I'm OK with not being pregnant is I had an appt with my surgeon yesterday and I he said there is another procedure he can do that he thinks will really relieve my pain but he wants me to try some more cortezon injections first. Well, I can't get an injection if I'm pregnant so I would LOVE to be but I will not be upset if I am not. I told my dad that my shoulder pain flared up after being home and playing with my siblings littles. His response? "well there are things I know are going to give me pain so I just don't do them, maybe you need to do the same." Um, I am NOT going to stop having fun with my family because of a little (lot of) pain! Not to mention what the heck does he think I'm going to do when I have kids, just make my husband carry them everywhere and sit back and watch other people enjoy them and play with them? NO!!! Sometimes I swear he just doesn't get it! OK, rant complete....Anyway, I'm gonna give it a few more days before testing again and if I am in fact not pregnant (which I feel increasingly less pregnant daily) we are taking a month off to deal with my shoulder and other ailments.

Blessings to you all, sticky thoughts to Julia, and baby dust all around!

I forgot to respond to Julia

yes I have had that happen and I do what Pixie says. If I'm going totally nuts I try and eat something healthy even if it might mess up my calories for the day. I also drink a lot of water or tea and another trick for me is brushing my teeth. If I have minty fresh breath I don't want to eat anything. Good luck! I hate that feeling

batgirl - call your doc and they'll let you know when to come in. Some will see you early, some will not - it's up to your doc. Congrats again!
If you need to get in touch with anyone from the preggo board you can always send them a private message, I know Ashley wouldn't mind.

    All the best!

So my cycle has been officially cancelled. I was pretty okay when I heard the news but now starting to feel a little sad. It happens and I`d rather they cancel then try and push through and have negative results.

Today is my CD 13 and I`m still going (this whole cycle has been wonky...it`s been very light just until I think it`s done and then again it starts). The clinic thinks it`s because I`m on the pill (started day 3). As of tonight, I`m to stop it. She says that the voracious appetite is likely a symptom of that as is the mood swings (I`ve said I`m sorry more times this week than I think I ever have in my life). I`ve been counting the moodiness and appetite because I`m upset that the cycle isn`t going as planned but it makes more sense that it`s related to the hormones (something is obviously not balanced).....so that makes me feel a little better (as I munch on my 3rd salad of the day). If you remember, they weren`t sure they were going to put me on the pill this cycle because my BP was a little on the high side (borderline) so tomorrow I have to have it checked at my GP`s office - it could be the cause.

So for now the plan is to focus on the healthy eating to get that back in check and hopefully the BP and the craziness will calm down.....added bonus, if we`re now looking at November or Early december, my boss would be sending me before that if he does (still no word).....

Quick question for everyone....those of you who have PCOS do you find that your periods tend to be heavy one month and extremely light the next? My cycles are somewhat normal (anywhere from 50-31 days). BUT my current period is playing with my mind. It's more then spotting but barely enough for a tampon (sorry if that TMI).... I know there is not really anything to do about that...I just wish there was some way I could know what to expect!

I feel like I am 13 all over again and like I have never had periods before!! Stupid PCOS!! OK...rant over!!

Hugs to Melissa and Pam. Pam sorry to hear that you're taking the month off but like you said, it's probably better to take time off then to go forward without results.

I am super confused right now! I am now 5 days late for AF, had about half a day of spotting and since then nothing. I have NEVER just missed a period before (aside from boot camp.) Even when I TRIED to miss a period by not taking placibos while I was on the pill I had more than I have now. Yet, all tests are BFN. I've decided to wait at least until monday to test again but it's super weird. Also all nausea and stuff has left. No more randomly feeling like crap aside from random fits of dizziness and i'm a bit more emotional than normal. i no longer think I'm pregnant (which I thought that i still might be after the first negative) but I'm wondering what is going on with my body. Also, yesterday, it felt like there was a little gremlin doing flipps in my stomach. It didn't feel like gas but like something was actually rolling around in there. I know that even if I WERE pregnant which I doubt I am that it's too early to feel movement but WTH? I do not get it! Has anyone had this happen before?

Hey gals! I took a break from the boards...just needed to regroup. I'm now taking a beak from Bumping as well. Just got a little too wrapped up and stressed out., but now I'm back here!

I'm still awaiting AF. I was due to start yesterday, but no such luck. I've been extremely moody the past few days. Not sure if I should blame PMS or my funky work/sleep schedule. I'm trying to relax and not think about it...but it's hard! I tested Tuesday...BFN. Not testing again for a week...the likelihood of me being preggo is so low that testing more than once a week is a waste of money.

This week, I have been trying out the YMCA for free in the town where I work. I decided it was a good opportunity to get back to the basics of being healthy. With the weather getting colder, walking outside is less desirable. They made me a good deal...not sure I can refuse! Usually a single membership is $28 a month with a one-time joiner fee of $30. They are dropping the joiner fee AND I get $2 off a month for paying for my membership through a payroll deduction program at work. WOOT!

Well, that's my update! Hopefully I can keep up with everyone now. Happy TTC and sticky baby dust to you all!

    Hello ladies,
Well AF was scheduled to arrive yesterday and I had nothing. WOOO. Again today so far nothing. Hoping for the best but still BFN's (expected) I am going to wait until Tuesday to test again, if I have no period by then.
I'm going to a work conference for the next three days so I'm hoping to have that take my mind off things.
Good luck to all-baby dust and think sticky thoughts!

Emily - if you find you're more than 10 days late, I'd schedule an appointment with the doctor - at the very least get them to run some tests if only to assure yourself.

Melissa - I always joked that the only consistency with AF for me was the inconsistency. I swear that my clinic doesn't believe half the craziness. When I started regulating the first thought I had was.....if this is what AF is like for everyone else, what the heck have I been putting up with. It would make senes that if you have a light period one month the next would be heavier. Its because of the varying levels of hormones in your body during the different months - one month it's very light on hormones (so you don't completely shed the lining - sorry for TMI) and the next your body goes into clean up mode and loads up the hormones. Neither is good - so it's important that you stabilize, whether that means going on the pill for a couple of months or regulating your blood sugar. This cycle has thrown me for a loop too - I started about 9 days too early and it was exactly as you described (ANNOYING.....LOL) I couldn't describe it as spotting because it really wasn't but it was definitely not even a light AF. Now fast forward to CD13 (so now 4 days late from when I was expecting) and it's become like a normal cycle for me - but that's 13 days of blotting (my combo word i made up to describe it)......Doctor says it's because of the hormones from the pill......

Imarunner - stress is a killer on the TTC process so be kind to yourself and do something just for you today - it will help your mood and stress levels.....I like giving myself mani/pedis to some great music....my hubs thinks I'm a little nuts, but so what....LOL he's probably right

Julia - fingers are crossed for you. Enjoy the conference!!!!

AFM: BP was a little better - lower than before which puts me back in the normal range, but not normal for me still. Appetite has been a little better today - I look back on the last few days and think of how monsterous I was acting.....seriously that was brutal. And my nurse told my DH yesterday if that's what I'm like on the pill, he's in for a real treat when I go on the Lupron.....LOL She offered up her husband's number as a support group (she went through the IVF a few years ago).

You sound like me on progesterone!

Hang in there everyone waiting for AF--I hope it doesn't come!

AFM: Felt kinda cruddy today. Didn't work and stayed home with little boy today. Of course tonight would be the night hubby has a meeting, so little boy and I are watching more TV than recommended by all parenting authorities. Tonight I'm subscribing to the "whatever works" theory of parenting. I hope I feel better tomorrow--I'm supposed to leave for my retreat! Woot!

Found out yesterday that my cousin is expecting--just past her 13 week mark. I was really happy for her--she has the bicoronate uterus stuff going on, and she's miscarried once (after telling everyone really early--ouch.) Everything looks good with the baby. Yay! So, even if it does give me twinges, I'm so happy for them.

Random question--what books are you all reading? I got a kindle for my birthday and have been pulled into a series called "The Parasol Protectorate" by Gail Carriager. (Had never heard of her before.) So, apparently, it's a kinda a cross between, Steampunk ( I was not familiar with the term before reading this book), Twilight and Jane Austen. I'm thoroughly enjoying it--I've never read anything quite like it before. Just thought I'd throw it out there--I'm looking for recommendations on other books to keep an eye out for.

That's just it...TTC is what is stressing me out...that's my problem. It's like someone flipped on my "psycho baby-maker" switch. I need to relax. I shouldn't be in a hurry...I have weight to lose, a house to remodel, ect., but all of a sudden, the sight of a pregnant woman or someone holding a baby shoots this horrific anger through me. I'm sure my anger is mostly from the fact that my hormones are still screwy from getting off BCP and not having AF yet...but it surprises me when it happens. It's not me...UGH!

Well ladies, looks like I'm back here again. I'm losing this LO too. This will be my third angel in a row. I'm going to get blood tests tomorrow to confirm it but I'm pretty certain there is not hope anymore. So I guess my next step is to talk with my doctor to figure out what is wrong with me and just continue to try to loose weight in the meantime.

So sorry to hear that - definitely check with the doctor - there are things they can do to help with the very early pregnancy hormones to keep them stable or help with many other things that could be causing it!!!!

I just read "water for Elephants" and it was AMAZING. Some lady on the airplane gave me "my Booky Wook" by Russel Brandt but I have yet to begin it. I also recommend "Falling into Man Holes." A friend of a friend wrote it and I recommend it to most women. "look me in the Eye" is also great I can't the name of the author but it's the brother of the guy who wrote "Running with Scissors." Should I go on? ;)

Thanks! I love the word blotting...sounds about right for me right now!! I hadn't even really thought about things that way. I don't think I have ever actually had regular cycles...so this feels all so new. I hadn't really thought about the varying levels of hormones in my body. I don't really want to go on the pill....I was on it for 3+ years and had some really scary side affects....so it sounds like maybe I need to start considering my other options. I don't have another doctors appointment for awhile, but it sounds like I will have some time to watch my cycles, do some research, continue to lose some weight, and hopefully be armed to have a good conversation with her about what steps I need to take to get things even more regular.

Smores--I'm so sorry. I wish there was something else we could do than be cyber-supportive. Hugs.

Thanks for the book recommendations--keep em coming. (Those of you too busy to read anything other than textbooks at this juncture are excused. I remember those days in grad school well. If it wasn't a journal or a textbook it had no place in my life. so glad that is done.) I have "water for elephants" reserved at the library for my kindle, and I have yet to read "The Help", but I'm sure I will. Gotta finish this series first--basically, it's set in Victorian England, and werewolves and vampires have been incorporated into British society. Very inventive. And the writing is really funny.

Tonight is my retreat--I'm ready to go. And I"m eating s'mores. That's all there is to that. :-)
