Nice session @chris_in_cal . I hate it when I mess up with the Garmin. I usually try to look at the Garmin Connect chart and figure out what I actually did. Glad you helped out the guy - was he a friend or just someone you saw and decided to talk to?
Nice running @kgirlhart . Having the last mile faster than the first is a good thing.
Great running @tarun_yadavA !
Glad I made you laugh @emptydog . Sounds like a great run this morning on the lake. Good luck with your 5K.

11.50/50.00 mile goal
Went to the gym this morning. Mowed mom's lawn this afternoon. I only counted the little bit of push mowing that I did as exercise - a little less than 11 min. After I got home from that, I was tired and hadn't eaten much all day, so went out and did a 1.25 mile wun on the driveway. Not a whole lot of walking/running going on for me this month, but I knew that was going to be the case. Just too much to try to get done this time of year and I didn't need the stress of trying to "do it all." Keeping up the streak is my biggest goal for this month.7 -

Morning all

Have a nice hump day all8 -
Hi everyone!
I went out on an easy 9.2km run to test the legs this morning. It was beautiful out! Perfect weather and thanks to forgetting my headphones I got to listen to the birds chirping and the river running. Everything is green and in full bloom and it wasn’t hot. My legs were a bit stiff but otherwise everything was great.
45/160km for May.8 -
@Scott6255 I hate to hear that running has lost its joy for you. Taking some time off may be exactly what you need and I really hope to see you back here again.3

May total: 3.9 miles
YTD: 338.9/1200 miles
5/7: 2 miles
5/8: 1.9 miles
I'm back to running! Yesterday I found a treadmill workout that used a 1-minute walk 1 minute run interval. That one felt really good. I felt energized for the rest of the day. Breathing wasn't an issue. Overall a success.
Today I also did a treadmill workout, this one with 2 minutes running 1 minute walking intervals. This one was quite a bit harder though I think a lot of that was due to the terrain. This series is set in Portugal and this particular section was incredibly hilly. I had at least two run segments with the incline on 12 for a minute or so. That definitely upped the level of difficulty. But, my breathing was okay and my heart rate didn't go too crazy, esp given the amount of incline running.
Tomorrow I think I'll try a 2-minute run one minute walk interval outside if the weather cooperates to see how that feels on a flatter surface. I am currently scheduled for my Idaho half marathon over memorial Day weekend and I have all intentions of doing it. My goal over this coming week is to figure out what my walk run interval is going to be and then start working on distance. I'm going to feel incredibly undertrained heading into this, but I know that I have enough baseline endurance to finish it if I commit to walk/run and go into it with realistic expectations.

Not so good today. Felt rather weak all day, and running was the same. Ran 4km, and then alternated between faster running and walking for the rest.5 -
Good job on the mile and helping out the random guy @chris_in_cal .
Great run @tarun_yadavA .
Great recovery run @Laurz9191 . Sort of glad to hear you forgot your headphones.
I'm glad you are feeling up to run/walk @martaindale . I can't imagine running at a 12 incline. You did great. Sounds like you have a good plan for the HM.
Sorry it was tough for you today @yirara . Hope the next one is better for you.2 -

13.75/50.00 mile goal
I went to the gym again this morning. Only new thing today was squats with the barbell. It was a fairly long workout with a focus on legs.
When I got home, I went out for a driveway wun, hoping to beat the impending storm. As I finished, the wind started blowing. It took a little bit for the rain to actually get here, but my power went out 2 min after I got inside. I would say that is pretty perfect timing. We didn't have a real strong storm here, but about 5 miles away they had some pretty big hail. May get more tonight.5 -

May Goal: 115 Miles
5/1: 6.03 miles
5/2: 4.11 miles
5/3: 6.02 miles
5/5: 10.05 miles
5/6: 3.12 miles
5/8: 6.25 miles
35.58/115 miles completed for May
I ran 6.25 miles today. It was hot and humid, 74°F feels like 77°, and windy. The run started out tough. Everything was annoying me, but eventually I got in the zone. And by the end I was feeling pretty good. It was light when I finished and I even saw a deer near the park.

Morning all
Got in 6.0M (at 09"50).
@quilteryoyo glad you avoided bad effects of storm (so far!) 🙏🏽🤞🏽
@chris_in_cal good going! (PS: transitory! [Just do a few more stretches before and after!] ).
@martaindale hi Sarah! Good to see you back out running again! 😊4 -
I didn't have a chance to come here yesterday and post my run but I got in 5 miles in the early morning hours before the storms hit. Like @quilteryoyo they were not too bad in my area just lots of thunder, lightning and rain. Today was cross-training with weights and tomorrow and Saturday I will be backpacking on the AT.
@martaindale - Glad you are back at it and have a plan for your upcoming half!
@chris_in_cal - Love the story of you talking to the guy because you sensed he needed a kind work or two. Thank you for being you!5 -
May total: 6.3 miles
YTD: 341.3/1200 miles
5/7: 2 miles
5/8: 1.9 miles
5/9: 2.4 miles
I went outside this morning. Totally brutal conditions, 77F and 97% humidity, but still easier than the elevation on the treadmill run yesterday. I did a 2 min run, 1 min walk for 30 minutes. It went ok so my next stop will be 3 min/1 min for 40 mins. We are getting a little cool weather this weekend so it's a good time to try out a longer run.
I can't remember if I mentioned it here, but I recently bought a camper van and my kid and I are going camping at a state park a couple of hours away this weekend. I really enjoy these little weekends away, especially when I am out in nature.8 -

Going on a 5 day trip from tomorrow. You might have noticed traveling is a bit of a hobby of mine, no? 😅5 -
I hope your calf is okay @chris_in_cal !
Glad your run ended a lot better than it started @kgirlhart . I love to watch deer. They are so graceful.
Thanks @tarun_yadavA . We had more storms last night, but no damage, thankfully. Great running on your part.
I'm glad you didn't have any damage @Teresa502 . Enjoy your hike. I look forward to seeing the report and pictures.
Great running in such brutal conditions @martaindale . I don't recall you mentioning the camper van before. I envy you though. I have been looking at buying one, or maybe a small Class C. It would have to be something that I could drive around at the destination and not have to tow a car. But, I'm finding it hard to justify the expense right now when I'm not sure how much I would use it. Enjoy your weekend with your kid.
Great running @yirara . Enjoy your trip.4
