Hello old and new friends. I am trying to get back on the wagon. Just switched from Trulicity to Ozempic because Trulicity is no longer available anywhere around here. We'll see if that helps. I had kind of given up but now I am so down about my situation I decided I have to make a change. Hope you all have been well and this post looks as active as ever! Meg10

Debbie - glad you caught that last kitten. What will you do with them now?
Lisa - I agree. I cannot imagine living in a different country or even time. I have no idea how those pioneer women survived on the Dakota prairies. It would be hard knowing your life is in constant jeopardy.
Heather - glad you are doing well. The roses are lovely.
Windy today. Lots of smaller branches down when I drove into town earlier. Waiting now for the groomer to show up. We use a mobile groomer who brings her van to the house. Good thing because my dog does not like to ride in the car.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA3 -
Meg - Hello! Hope Ozempic is an answer for you... I think you're in Nebraska, right? Hope the chaotic weather has been kind to you. Glad to see you.
Sue - Yeah - I'm at the right time for me. the Internet being the top example. I love having all the information in the world available at will...1 -
Meg- wonderful to see you!! I am on Trulicity...I'll be starting my 4th dose Wednesday, its unbelievable how it cuts the cravings ive lost about 13 lbs so far,not eating junk and seeing a dietian and nutrionist..
I think they might try and get me on Ozempic, but my insurance wouldn't cover it.. hey I'll take what i can get.
Alfie going to Toms tomorrow for a couple of days..

Hi! Still alive just stupid busy! Miss you all!
Kylia in Ohio9 -
Beth - you've been on my mind. Crossing fingers you can find a facility for your mom soon. So many things to consider - quality of care, cost, convenience, availability. Makes a person's head swim.
Implant surgery question - was your balance thrown off by it? Maybe you mentioned and I skipped over that part. My nose and ears have been so stuffed up with allergies the past few days, I finally broke down and took a zyrtec this afternoon. I noticed a couple days ago I was on the edge of vertigo a couple times, thankfully it never developed further. Left ear has been crackling the past couple days, better now.
Meg! Glad you popped in! Let's see if I remember - weren't you teaching nursing? Hope you can get Ozempic and it works for you. I was just thinking about you, JanetR and some other gals that don't post anymore. Hope they are doing OK, I know life gets busy and circumstances change. I wish them well!
Allie - good job with the weight loss, nice to have the cravings stop.
Debbie - glad you caught that last kitten. Do you have homes for them?
Jen in San Diego - posting pix of dogs is welcome and encouraged. You'll fit right in.
Pip - that's what they call "a dog's life" - comfy bed, treats, humans who love us and care for us. We should all be so lucky, right? DH and I used to say when we die we want to be reincarnated as one of our dogs, lol.
Vicki - I was sad to read about the loss of your friend. So good of you to step in and handle the final arrangements after she died. Nice of you to take your grandsons out to lunch after church, I bet they'll remember this as a special time with you.
Pre-Diabetes Prevention Class -So I had another Pre-Diabetes prevention zoom class this afternoon. We talked about activity, and how to keep track to make sure we record it. Some folks used their phones, some journaled, I have a spreadsheet. She mentioned MFP, and said a lot of people also use MFP's food journal. We didn't get into any food/nutrition nitty gritty yet, that's next week.
I'm anxious to see what their food plan looks like, the strategy - is it low carb, low fat, calorie cutting or a combo or ?? I know the goal is to have us make permanent, sustainable changes in our lifestyle and diet to reduce blood sugar, improve A1C, and stop the progression toward T2.
My neighbor with the houseplants that I'm babysitting is due back tomorrow. It had been 5 days since I'd stopped in, so I walked down this morning to see if any had died under my care. Actually, a couple that were in rough shape when I first went over there three weeks ago now look pretty good. I can't take credit though - they kept their house at 60 degrees so it was like being in a nice cooler. Will be happy to be done with the job.
Waiting for it to get dark so the hens go to bed and I can close the door to their coop. They always come to say goodnight and get their pets before they go into the coop. I read a story about people who have emotional support chickens. I wonder if I could take Gladys into Walmart with me. She's the tamest. I should try, lol. I think they make chicken diapers.
On that note, have a nice evening, ladies!

Machka - I’m so fortunate that Rodger and I are both on the same wavelength about things being put away.
I do have a little basket that I keep things I use often near my chair.
Lisa - we were taught in our course that it is a spectrum. Autism, Asperger’s ADHD are all in the spectrum.
I’m with you on the technology now. Kaitlyn asked me last week what I thought the pros and cons of using Chromebooks in the classroom were. I told her that the research, educational games and such is wonderful, there are so many ways to learn now.
The con is to allow them access they also have access to games when they should be listening to the teacher or doing other work.
That’s great news that the Skyrizi seems to be working. When you go for the next infusion?
Annie - I think that it is probably just the father/child relationship that causes some issues. father’s forget we grew up and we get insulted when they treat us like we don’t know.
I have a story about my Dad and I. This happened the first week of Sept in 2012 and week before we learned that the chemo wasn’t working. He was gone 3 months later.
I was staying with Mom & Dad for a week by myself after Rodger, the girls and their families had returned to Alberta. My first day alone my Dad had a coughing spell so bad that he blacked out while driving and went off the road, he hit the guide wire to the electric pole and tore a hole in the gas tank so their car couldn’t be used, the only vehicle left was Dad’s half ton with a standard transmission.
He had to go to an appointment the next day and I took him. I knew how to drive a standard but hadn’t driven one in 20 years. Mom couldn’t drive standard. To get to the next town we had to go up a big steep hill and of course, I struggled a bit. I didn’t stall it, but Dad was making me anxious and I missed a gear.
We went to the appointment and the next day he needed to go out again. I told him I would drive him, but maybe we would all be better off if we borrowed my sister in law’s van, this wouldn’t make Dad or I butt heads. She was at work and also couldn’t drive a standard so we had to go and get back so she could go home after work.
We went to town and I’m backing out of a parking stall and he starts yelling at me that I’m not doing it properly. I was cutting the wheel too soon, going to hit the car behind me and the one beside me.
I not so calmly put the van back in drive and park. I turned around to talk to Dad. I was exasperated and it could be heard in my voice.
I said, you taught be to drive 25 year ago and you did a good job. I drive every single day and I manage. If you stop yelling at me and making me nervous we can have some trips while I’m still home, but if you don’t we’ll just stay home. He ended up apologizing to me.
A couple months later when I went home because it was time, he apologized again for giving me a hard time about driving. He explained that he didn’t want to have to depend on anyone, he was losing his freedom, and his health and was scared and worried and that’s why he was so hard to get along with.
I think about that parking incident so often, I don’t know why it sticks in my head so much, but now I smile about it.
Machka - I wouldn’t say you were very overtired. Hopefully tonight is much better.
I think you just need to get your move done and then maybe you can just take a break and enjoy life for a bit, the years of stress has this be taking a toll.
Beth - So sorry your Mom will be unable to return to her assisted living facility.
Thankfully she wasn’t hurt with this fall.
Rita - I don’t know how you’ve done it living in a RV. I guess it’s better when the weather is better year round, I couldn’t be that closed in all year here.
Heather - Beautiful flowers, John did a beautiful job arranging them under your direction and supervision.
When do your friends come to visit?
Meg - Welcome back.
Pip - She doesn’t look comfortable at all.
Kylia - thanks for popping in.
Nothing overly interesting today around here. It rained so there was inside recess and later this afternoon there was a landspout tornado touch down about an hour from us. No injuries or damage that I’ve heard of.

Debbie - glad you caught that last kitten. What will you do with them now?
Everyone take care, Sue in WA
Sue and Lynette-
We are fostering them until they get big enough to be fixed and then they will be up for adoption. Dh is thinking about keeping one but I don't think so. We have enough already but will have to wait and see.

So, my son (17) had another episode last night, so we headed out to the ER at around 11:15 and came back home at 4am. He had a blood test, an EKG, and an X-ray. They found nothing wrong, so that’s good. Unless he passes out, he can just try and breathe through any weirdness. We have an appointment with his GP on Wednesday morning.
We are going to meet our deductible for insurance this year for sure. Poor kid was worried about costs. We can afford his health care, but we ended up with a $3500 bill for his brother once, and he remembers how upset we were.
Anyhow, we are in the middle of a storm, but today, the rain let up and it was gorgeous. I called at sick, because 4 am, and enjoyed working in the yard some. I’m going to plant a sun flower seed in a little bit. I also took 2 walks with my husband today, because we lost power so he couldn’t work. Or make coffee -so we had to hunt and gather our coffee by walking to Starbucks.
Lisa - Imitating a stick. You’re hilarious!
Heather - I’m so glad you are seeing improvement in your pain levels!
Tracey - I’m sorry about the lack of communication with you. I can see how you would want to know what was going on. Especially with such large changes.
Machka - Wow! That sounds really confusing. I’ll bet it was because you were overtire. It’s kind of neat how your brain just kind of keeps doing its little patterns without conscious thought. I love psychology and brain science.
Rebecca - I hope you feel better soon!
Jen - Welcome (I’m Jenn).
Lanette - House chicken! I follow a chicken named Cotton who is a house chicken. He wears little diapers.

Gratitudes:
Sunday- sound of rain on roof, pushing back wildfire season by even a day.
Monday- Joe talking to me, telling me about what he’s trying to help his eyes feel better, what he’s testing to give the eye Dr. feedback, his willingness to drive me to Grants Pass if/when next oral surgery is scheduled.
Feeling grumpy at mfp’s decision to discontinue the newsfeed.
Carol hope adapting to the new aids is easy.
Ginny so sorry to hear of your brother’s pain and yours to observe it. Also sorry to hear Luna’s mom and dad let you be exposed to whatever Luna had. Aren’t you immune fragile?
Jenn how scary for your son and you. While relieved tests show nothing wrong your son is definitely feeling something. Hope his MD can get to the root.
Lisa “peopled out” this expression, will borrow. “… Made me realize how lucky I am that I don't live in a war-torn country on the other side of the world where a "barrage" is something completely different. I am so truly grateful to live here” Amen, sister, amen!
@linder4866 good to see you pop in. Would you remind me of your (nick)name and general locale? Joyce?
Meg, likewise delighted to see your smiling face. ((hugs)) and welcome back. Bring us up to date when you can. ((hugs))
Welcome @finnelljennifer Jen in San Diego. that sleeping pooch’s sweet face.
Kylia thanks for popping in, was getting worried.
Lanette “chicken diapers” for emotional support chickens? :noway:
Debbie well done good chat with Mom and for catching that hold out. Look forward to pics.
Machka think Tracey has the right idea, the years of stress could be taking their toll. Hope settling in to your new place will give you peace.
Beth and Annie ((hugs)) no words of wisdom here, just ((hugs)).
Heather the roses but even more that you are safe at home and able to rest pain-free. Hope the pain in motion eases soon!
Likewise ((hugs)) to Vicki and Rori grieving their friends’ losses.
Fasting labs tomorrow at oh dark thirty then picking up T at the car repair shop. We’ll probably stroll, or have coffee or both, then hope to play some in the yard as it’s the first non-windy day in weeks.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

Did a bit of research and apparently stress, DOMs, Restless Leg Syndrome, Migraine, Sleepwalking and Dissociated Amnesia can all be related.
Oh, forgot to mention the bad headache I have had the last few days.
DOMs sets off my RLS.
There are mixed opinions but RLS can be a trigger for Sleepwalking.
Both stress and Migraine can be triggers for Sleepwalking.
Marvellous.

Just the area where the autoposts go.
The Food Diary, Exercise Log, Reports, etc. will remain.
And it's possible that there could be some great improvements to the new profile area.

I have a history of parasomnias, so although the assumption I was sleepwalking the night before last is disturbing, it's not surprising.
