@SparkSpringtime69 your post took the words right out of my own mouth! Ditto.
Not doing great but showing up. I am hoping to rack up AF days this week starting tonight.
June goals:
AF days: 15
A days: 15 (includes LA wine = lo calorie and low alcohol content)
Actual:
AF - 2
A - 65 -
5 AF

Yesterday, I went to the store to get Stella NA and they were out! They also don't seem to be carrying the Corona NA anymore so I opted for the Becks. I've never liked canned beer and the Becks was the only one in a bottle. It was ok, I still like the Stella the best with Corona a close second.
Anyway, I'm very happy with myself for staying AF last night - when I saw there was no Stella I almost used it as an excuse to buy a bottle of wine instead, so super proud that I stayed the NA course. Big change in my mental state from two nights ago!
Hope all my LA/NA friends here have a wonderful and healthy week.8 -

Only one real glass of wine last night and again tonight. That’s it, I don’t want any more.
Lost my tennis match again today, but it was a good time anyway. I’ve been keeping up with exercise.
I’ve also been really focusing on upping my protein, and avoiding most bready carbs (veggies are fine) and too much salt- and the weight is literally falling off me all of a sudden. Basically a modification of that no sugar challenge I did two years ago. I can afford a glass of wine per day and am still doing well! Perhaps not what anyone wants to hear on an LA thread! Haha! Seriously I have backed down my alcohol consumption, but I’m not at AF days yet.
Hope everyone is having a great week so far!6 -

Only one glass of wine last night. Didn’t even want to top it off with another half glass! Plus it would have required opening another bottle, so double reason not to. Have a great day everyone!5

Visiting family this week and went on an easy hike to Cline Falls, OR to see the waterfall this morning. Not as many AF days as I want, but allowing myself to enjoy vacation time without all kinds of self inflicted guilt (which I am good at). Lots of fun breweries, and food trucks galore up here!

No drinking. Unfortunately, this job is freaking me out, so stressful. MIL walked 25 feet today with the physical therapist at the rehab facility. Hubby isn’t feeling well today. Back to knitting…5 -

Thank God for the weekend. My head is spinning from trying to learn this job. UGH!5 -
Running all over Oregon this past week seeing two families and now up in WA for our last leg with another family member until Monday. The foodie people and trucks are real! I’ve been eating all kinds of food (and wine) I truly never have at home. The main problem? We are eating out all meals which is definitely not my preference. Would love DSS to cook a homemade meal tomorrow
maybe if we offer to pick up all the ingredients for it? We shall see.
With this side of the family visit there can be some type of secret squirrel information that comes out. I wish this wasn’t the case but happened this visit. Found out there was a huge issue that will be unnamed which has caused some family on my husband’s side to ghost each other. Awful!
We can’t change people just try to accept without approval, sigh….
Happy Father’s Day weekend to those who celebrate!

My herbal tea nights turned into wine nightsTea tonight for sure.
@NonnieDoiron sorry to hear the new job is so stressful, but you've managed to keep up a nice streak of AF days despite that stress - WTG.

34 days AF. I have not strung that many days together since July 2012 when I did a month. Today, however, I was missing wine. Not craving it exactly. More like feeling nostalgia for those care free days of yore. Well as I have said, Dr.'s orders no alcohol for a while. But I have discovered Waterloo seltzer makes some nice mock tail drinks like mojito and all day rose. They are delicious.
Happy Father's Day to the Dad's out there7
