Had a lovely birthday dinner at a wonderful restaurant called Shadowbrook in the CA. beach town of Capitola. I did not overeat all day long but did ENJOY my food.
Thank you for the birthday wishes deepwoodslady. What a nice surprise. Going on a week long camping trip starting Saturday. My goal is the 174;s by then.

It’s DH’s birthday, so I’m taking him out for dinner. He wants fish, so I’ll be able to stay within bounds. I am baking him a cake, but I plan to give some of it away. 😊
7/27 - 196.6
I guess I did ok with lunch out yesterday. I did have birthday cake (red velvet with cream cheese frosting) last night, but it was essentially a “meal,” so my total calories were reasonable. I want to get out in my garden, but the Nextdoor neighbor is sitting outside smoking a stinky cigar and it turns my stomach. It’s an ongoing problem when he’s home in the summer. Luckily, he often cares for his little grandkids and doesn’t smoke in front of them. Anyway, my “gut” seems much better since I’ve stopped drinking coffee (waaa!) so I’m going to try a walk on the river greenway in a bit. Have a great Saturday!

July 25 - 172.0 - New round, many opportunities to improve! Because I think I'm due for another drop, I'm going out on a limb and setting a goal, which I usually don't do. I'm going to try to get to 169.X this round. It's okay if I don't but I want to strive for it.
July 26 - 171.8
July 27 - DNW
July 28 - 172.2 - I had some choice words for my scale this morning, but in reality, it's the popcorn with salt.
July 29 - 171.6 - 80oz water. I don't eat processed/packaged snack food, even healthy ones, because I have so many allergies, some life-threatening. I've tried the brands that are suppose to be allergy free of most allergens, but I just prefer to make my own so I know I'm totally safe. I made oatmeal muffins yesterday. I've been eating oatmeal in the afternoon to help with carb cravings, but wanted something different. I changed the recipe from sweet to savory by removing the sugar and addng garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika, which I seem to use a lot these days. I replaced the eggs with some buttermilk. They aren't great, which is good because otherwise I would eat 6 at once. Maybe that's how to stop my bingeing just make everything taste like S#%t. LOL However, they did the trick - something healthy but also something to munch on that felt sort of like a treat, and only 130 calories each. Not as much fiber as I wanted even though there are more oats than flour but next time I think I'll replace 1/2 the flour with pulverized oats.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I normally log in as the last thing before bed to reflect on my day and to set a game plan for tomorrow. This is where I write it out, sort of journaling, sort of tracking, sort of a mental dump.
(My day 10) Monday- 07/29 ~ Todays weight 221.2
It was a good weekend. I am not as concerned about the weight fluctuations as the edema in my knee is also fluctuating. I have PT today so expect to be pretty sore later. Yesterday I stopped using the walker and started with the cane. Movement is slow but steady. I walked a qtr. of a mile around in circles in the driveway and am feeling it today. Pain is gain, so I hear..
Will continue focusing on IE and IM. Have a great day everyone!!!

7/29 - 149.4 - Busy busy final weekend with the kids. Friday I ended up squeezing in overtime after our workout before StepDaughter and I headed to town for our rain-checked girls date. Saturday BigBro came over to hang out one last time with the younger two and we had a nice dinner together but I spent the day grocery shopping and doing household tasks. Sunday was meal prep followed by a little get together to say by to the kids with our friend group. Back on track today. Should know this afternoon if I'll be driving the kids or if BF is cleared to drive them up to their mom for the school year (Friday/Saturday). I also just found out I'll be traveling the week of the 12th for work. Right smack dab in the middle of my Coaching Summer Shreds Challenge so it'll make things extra challenging for me. Ugh. It's a 2 day site visit. I'll travel down the day before (Monday), site visits Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully we'll be done with our second site visit early enough I can catch a flight home that night (Wednesday) rather than have to stay over and fly home Thursday. We're still hashing out details now that we've gotten the dates figured out. Meals logged for today with some buffer - waiting to get my updates from Coach since she was leaning towards lowering my macros a bit more this week. Rough workout but my back was bothering me at the fusion so I let myself go easy and stop anything that hurt. Still not easy to mentally handle, but I know it's best for me to allow my body to tell me when enough is enough.

Previous Day's Comments7/25 - Dropping off the last of the TOM-related bloat/water weight I think. I've been behaving really well lately. My coaching program has a 4 week "summer shreds" challenge starting August 1st. Since I'm already in coaching, it's not much of a change except now my goals will have a point value behind them and there are rewards for the highest points after 4 weeks ($500 cash and $500 in coaching gifts). It will be a challenge since I'll be traveling to take the kids back to their moms (up there Friday Aug 2nd, back home Saturday Aug 3rd). There will also likely be some work travel, they weren't happy I wasn't available in July so they're likely going to be pushing for it to happen early in August. I just need to do some work ahead of time planning and prepping with travel snacks and such to get me through as best I can. We have dinner out tonight since it's the last chance for Fam to see the kids before they go back to their mom's (Fam is leaving tomorrow for one last vacay to see family) but dinners are planned out through Sunday so that's helpful. I will need to improvise lunch tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday but that's much easier to do when I already have dinner logged.

Round goals: > 3 miles/day walking (1:00 time wise), more stretching as I'm having some aching and aggravation of knee and back issues, and trying to get better at golf (this is my year to actually learn how to play the game).
7/25 Thu: 193.7, walked 1:04, hit the driving range for golf. Still having problems with right quads and knee.
7/26 Fri: 196.2, walked 1:25, 9 holes of golf. Can't seem to shake leg muscle issues.
7/27 Sat: 193.4, no walking as spent the morning helping friends move and aft/evening on a casino bus trip. Didn't over indulge diet wise so that was a plus even if the aerobic exercise was missing. Got some strength work in moving appliances though.
7/28 Sun: 192.6, no walking but played a round of 9 holes of golf.

Goals for this round; (same as last few rounds & hoping committed to achieve them this time!! – Again!!)
• First and foremost, no feeding frenzies
• to get to/stay under 139 pounds,
• to lose!
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.*****

7/30- 172.2 Well that is nice to see! I won’t get ahead of myself and assume it will stick without a bounce. Shockingly I was 170.2 yesterday evening and for the first time in weeks my wedding ring didn’t feel tight and I could slide it off.
Clearly my body is retaining fluids. I definitely need to focus on drinking more water.
Could the difficulty of this “level” be as simple as fluid retention? Lol it’s never just one thing but I do think it’s been a huge factor.

Waiting for this round to start so I could join back in...Traveled last week for work and personal. So blessed to find a place to live in Austin now back home preparing to move. The people who offered to buy my house have become nightmares, long story, but everyday seems to be a new chapter of a horror novel- it's not that bad. But the stress is getting to me, little time to exercise but I am squeezing in my pickleball.
RSW: 120.2
RGW: 118.anything
GW 115
7/25:120.2 - I feel I cheat - waiting several days for the challenge to start I cannot help to be mindful of what I am eating and make better choices. I did play Hot Pickleball (similar to Hot Yoga, the warehouse is not air-conditioned) last night. Got up an hour earlier today and have been hauling things out to the curb (this should count for exercise) for trash day. First day in several I did not wake up with a headache, been so stressed - but prayed to God and he answered and resolved what seemed an overwhelming obstacle so I am sure letting go and trusting has released some of the tension I was carrying in my shoulders.
7/26: 119.8- Funny, I was mindful until yesterday - then careless yesterday and I will pay the price tomorrow...Had little time for dinner and found a TJ mandarin chicken- nothing is healthy there! But quickly made it and used half the sauce. I know I will be bloated tomorrow- I am going to repeat and repeat that so I have no reason to be upset. Played pickleball last night- Got to Sam's club right before it closed and they had moving boxes- Yeah! Slept well last night, feel so much better today.
7/27: 120.6 Mentally expected bloat-still psychologically challenging.
7/28: 120.0 So overwhelmed with the prospect of moving I guess forgot to log on yesterday. Am so overwhelmed figuring out what stays or goes: garage sale, donate, trash... I am what appears to be productive, trash and recycle bin full ( Trash day Thursday), Trunk of car full to donate and garage full of stuff I ant to sell. They I bebopping all around - no plan.Did not play pickleball yesterday, sad, I needed to focus on house- Good news I do think I finally finished shredding all -previously ours- but seems to have become my responsibility 30 years of paperwork. I ran his practice in our previous location one of the reason we had so much paperwork and I may have a slight hoarder problem- but not anymore. i did do body pump last night. I think I am accepting the next 5 weeks need to be action oriented to getting moved. When I get to Austin I can re-establish my fitness habits, I just have immense guilt if not dealing with the move. Buyers have backed down- probably because I expressed I was very happy if move fell through. But are adamant out of house Sept 1. Hoping to do Body Flow today and post one item on Facebook Marketplace which seems incredibly intimidating to me.
7/29: 119.6 I had an 8 week hiatus period with my Invisalign which ended last Tuesday. This first of the next set of 20 has been very similar to the beginning, my teeth have been sore and taking off and putting on retainers has been difficult. It is like enforced IF - maybe not that, but it has eliminated snacking for me for now. Sunday- packed my first box, went to church, and worked on purging my bathroom and my daughter's room. I did set my Apple watch to other, I was going up and down stairs l really felt I was getting a workout. Sadly still intimidated by Face Book marketplace- my goal again today.
7/30: 120.6 Today is my wonderful Mother's 91 birthday. It is so nice in the morning to come here and just gather your thoughts, for me this feels like a mental flexing exercise that is strengthening my resolve for the day ahead. I think I need to be forgiving for myself this month. I have dedicated myself to eat only from my freezer, I am allowing myself to buy some produce, but no meat! I found several old TJ frozen food packages and making them work, thinking that might be a source of additional sodium. I just think I am going to be yo-yoing the next few weeks because all spare moments will be spent packing. Also Yeah- sold my pool table on Facebook Marketplace yesterday!

7/25 169.4 Got in an outdoor walk between rain showers yesterday. The temperatures felt amazing all day, and we sure did need the rain!
7/26 168 Walked between showers yesterday and also got in an exercise bike workout during the rain with DGD on her own exercise bike. We had so much fun together with that! It’ll be good for both of us because she has our genetic tendency to hold weight.
7/27 168.8 Guess that’s the rebound after a pound and a half loss, because there’s no other explanation for it. It happens. Almost always. It’s fine. Was more active yesterday in activities with DGD and then got in a good walk in the evening too. Good day!
7/28 168.2 Another good day. Spent the afternoon with Dad here and made him one of Mom’s favorite recipes, her spaghetti, but ate well all day and got in a long walk in the evening. I was thinking just now that I am now about 4 lbs less than when I was the night I got the call that Dad had fallen and broken his hip. Everything about my life was changed at that moment, but I didn't know it yet. Ended up retiring to care for him here in my home until this past April, and lost total control of my own body, blowing up like a balloon to the high of 191. It feels so good to have regained control of what I eat and how I move and to be back closer to a healthy weight. I feel sure I can reach my goal weight now and will probably lower it to about 145. Feeling good! I am thankful for this group and the support and accountability each of you provides.
7/29. 167.8 Had movie theater popcorn for dinner last night, so I expected a sodium bump. It’ll probably come tomorrow. But for now, I’ll take this!
7/30 167.8 Good day yesterday. Need to get out in my flower beds some today and get rid of some weeds and the old stems from my day lilies, if the weather gives me an opportunity. If it does, I’ll get in a walk, too. Fingers crossed!

I sympathize, I several unpleasant reaction allergies, some uncomfortable and several extreme...I make an oat and cottage cheese pancake/crepe. I know I got the idea somewhere and have been playing with for years. I add protein powder for my sweet pancakes which are my afternoon snacks( these freeze very well) and I make savory crepe ones for dinner - no protein powder- but herbs or garlic whatever goes with my dinner. My alternative to pasta.
100 g rolled oats
228 g cottage cheese
8 ounces eggs (4-5 eggs depending on egg size)
2 scoops protein powder- Been using Orgain
Blend oats until they are a meal. Add protein powder cottage cheese and eggs, mix to well blended. Make pancakes.
