Round 268
August 4 - 13, 2024
Please join us starting on 8/4 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 268.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

@tiabirdie56 I have been posting 3 or 4 days before the end but many people don’t seem to notice so this time I put a picture to draw attention.3
-
@quiltingjaine, Jaine, yes I know. You normally post the next round early😄 When I see the link I just bookmark it for the start date1
-
@quiltingjaine thanks for keeping us going! See you all tomorrow!

Just got home yesterday. Joining back starting tomorrow.3

Can I join please :-) Need some motivation/inspiration! Although I don't like weighing myself every day - I get demotivated when I don't see a loss and sabotage myself 🤦🏼♀️ I'll weigh in every 5 days and post every day with how I've done with other NSV (usually food related) hope that's okay?7

Welcome! Posting is what each of us make it. No rules. I post daily because it (generally) works for me. Sometimes I seem to be older and more forgetful or have more distractions. We all hope you find some inspiration by reading others posts. Some of us read all, some do not. Make it work for you. Again welcome to JGM10D!

I joined this group in Rnd 245 on Dec 18 2023, when I realized I was eating my way through the holidays; I finally got on the scale and was hovering just under 150 lbs. It took about 4 months to reach my goal weight of 125. Sounds great, but I’ve done this before, which is why I’m still here.
It’s not just about losing, it’s about changing the habits of a lifetime that keep me stuck in self-defeating cycles with food.

* as much exercise as possible this next 10 days
* don’t stress- it’s always busy before a vacation
* weigh every morning, especially when I don't want to

8/4: I was definitely averse to getting on the scale this morning as yesterday was DGC#5's birthday and I succumbed to the Tostitos bowl. Relieved that the scale didn't show the results of unrestrained party grazing, followed by pizza and ice cream cake NSV: I didn't eat the candy too...
SO: today is a new day, and a new round- and this 10 days I'm committed to rebooting my good habits; yesterday is done, tomorrow isn't here. Today is the day.5 -

First full day back from a trip. Ate better, but my main exercise was pushing buttons on the TV remote watching Olympic stuff. I get totally absorbed in the hopes and dreams part of it, with the follow-on resulting excellence. Why can’t I do that? 😊

8/4 169.0 I honestly don’t understand this uptick the last few days. I had a very active day yesterday and ate only 1100 calories of mostly high protein food. Hoping for a swoosh soon, but Dad is back in the hospital and I’m here with him this morning so food and exercise will be atypical today.

08/03 …..188.4….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
08/04 -189.2- (Trend weight 189.8) We went to a Casino yesterday to celebrate my oldest DGS’ 18th birthday. It was one of the few casinos that allow an 18 year old in to gamble. My son and I lost about $250.00 over several hours but we had fun. The birthday boy was very conservative with his money and did much better than the rest of us. I was happy it was a fun experience for him. He had brought along a best friend. Both breakfast and dinner was out with the whole gang so it’s showing up on the scale today. However, my trend weight is still inching down so I am going to try to plan, as best as I can with DD and DGS here, to have a good low calorie, low carb healthy day. I want to hurry and get back on track before my trend weight notices that I strayed. Welcome to all the new folks who’ve joined us. It’s a pleasure to have you here. Good luck to all as we start a new 10 days and venture into August together.
