@fmfdfa2020 oh dear!!! I’m so sorry you had to go through this. My sister described the pain as 10x’s worse then giving birth.
Thankful you went to the hospital before you did damage. Rest up and recover. Sending all of the good vibes.

8/08- 171.2 Record three day low streak!!! Weekend is coming up and there is an extravagant dinner happening. If I’ve learned anything it’s that I can enjoy my hedonistic life and still make progress. It’s just much slower!!!
But I can’t deny myself life’s pleasures, I just need to make a choice on when I indulge.
I had an amazing talk with a woman in her low seventies who was training for a beginner triathlon (until she broke her shoulder). She had to learn to swim to get started! Just an amazing attitude towards life and fitness, “why not try something new?”. Love it.
Then we got our butts kicked in 5:30a.m. Boot camp. 50 seconds of jump lunges is a loooonnnggg time. Now do it again. Rest. Do it again. Cry a little.7 -

Round goals: > 3 miles/day walking (1:00 time wise), more stretching as I'm having some aching and aggravation of knee and back issues, it's killing my lifestyle and it's showing in lack of losing weight.
8/4 Sun: 194.7 Not much cardio, most of the afternoon in the lake but more floating than swimming.
8/5 Mon: 195.6 Thunderstorms here so outdoor activities are curtailed, at least for the morning. Hit the gym, light upper body and some leg work, mainly rehab work, half an hour of cardio.
8/6 Tue: 194.5 Had family over so excuse not to get to the gym or walk.
8/7 Wed: 192.8 Walk for an our, over at the driving range a couple times but that's it.

Round 267
Female, 5'3.
35 years old
Starting weight: 160.9
8/5: 160.9. Starting weight.
8/6: 160.6. Tiring day, this is a busy week for us. On top of several appointments, our water heater started leaking. The plumber came and said we had to get the stand that it sits on replaced before he will put a new one in. Since we rent, we are at the mercy of our landlord for how quickly we can do that. There's always something. My eating wasn't great yesterday, but I tried to control it a bit. I'm not doing much for exercise right now, but I'm planning to start adding it in soon.
8/7: 158.8. Yesterday's goal was to log food. I wasn't really focusing on staying under my calorie goal, but I find just holding myself accountable for the food I eat tends to result in eating a bit more focused. As I result, I was under my calorie goal.
8/8: 158.0. My goal, again, was just to log. I was way over on my calories, but that's okay for now. It's a good reminder for me on how easy it is for calories to snesk in- I really didn't mean to have an 800 calorie breakfast! It wasn't even that outlandish, just 2 English muffins with egg, cheese and a little mayo. Oops. So while I have done all of this in the past, I still have to tackle the learning curve again.

3. Start enjoying my salads again!

8/4 - All meals went to plan but didn't drink enough water so had a late night snack. Ended up over my calories by 18🤦🏼♀️ Must drink more tomorrow!
8/5 - All meals went to plan but still didn't drink enough water 🤦🏼♀️even less than the day before 🤬 stayed under my calorie goal by pure willpower as I could of easily ate 4 bars of chocolate before bed. MUST DO BETTER WITH THE WATER INTAKE!
8/6 - Breakfast and Lunch went to plan but dinner, not so much - hubby cooked and obviously piled my plate with chips 🤦🏼♀️and I couldn't just leave them on the plate 😂 only went over calorie goal by 56 so not too bad going for the day AND I drank my quota of water AND I went for a little walk (first walk since my knee operation so it was slow and steady) Not a bad day considering! 😁👍🏼
8/7 - oh dear! Not a good day. Over calories by near 500 🤦🏼♀️ and definitely not enough water. I don't expect the next few days to go well either as it's my birthday 🙈

Goals:
🧠Refocus and daily reminders that the scale is just a tool not a determining factor. 📊Weight is just a number to track data
🥩Increase my protein intake
🚰🏋️♀️Maintain water and exercise
8/4 208.2 The last week played havoc on my mental health. Between the stress of a sick cat, job woes, and frustration with this journey I found myself in a spiral this weekend. Yesterday I was close to throwing in the towel and giving up. This morning on my walk with the dog I reminded myself this is not something to “give up” because I’m making changes that will last forever. That means a rough week doesn’t negate all of the progress I’ve made over the last 3 months. I need to recognize the struggles and work through them this week. It’s a new month and new round with a new daily mantra reminding myself that the scale does not determine success. I do.
8/5 205.6 Decided I needed a better measurement than the scale to check my progress. I went to the thrift store and bought jeans in smaller sizes. When I got home I tried them on just to see how they fit, expecting all of them to be too small. To my surprise, one of the pairs actually fit. It was a little tight, but I’d wear them and feel good in them. My DH called the clothes my victory clothes and I’m in agreement with him. It felt like a victory putting on a pair of jeans that was 3 sizes smaller than the shorts I’d had on.
8/6 205.4 Went through my closet last night and tried on some of the clothes I’ve shoved in the back because I didn’t like how they looked on me (or I didn’t like how I felt wearing them). Added some to the donation pile because I still don’t like them and there’s no need to keep them. Kept a few because I put them on and felt good. I looked good.
8/7 205.4 I’m good with this considering I ate Cheez Its around 1am. Talk about late night binge.
8/8 205.2 Another late night binge, but a drop in weight. Either the increase in food is helping me drop weight or it’s going to show up in the next couple of days. Either way, I’m going to count this as a win5 -
Thank you, @quiltingjaine !

8/4 132.0 I slept wrong and have a tweaked muscle in my upper back. My wake up h/a is gone, Fosamax taken and coffee consumed. DH wants to go to the gym “early” but is still sleeping. I prefer the gym in the early afternoon. Today’s high is supposed to be 113.
8/5 132.5 Awake @4:28AM - too darn early. The bump is from the churro I ate at El Pollo Loco on Saturday evening. My muscle is still tweaked but I plan to go to the gym anyway.
8/6 132.0 Gym was good. Walked, cycled, hip machines, row, back extension, chest - 52 minutes on my HRM. Nothing seems to be sore today. I am craving GARLIC! Do you think I’m pregnant? LOL
8/7 133.0 My own “fault” - dealing with depression (his and mine) and I’m tired of guessing what he will want to eat when I would be happy with hamburgers (no buns) every day. We went to Taco Bell for the first time in about 7 years. Cheap, filling, and anything but low carb! Teeth cleaning today. Gotta get my act together!
Got caught up on posts then lost my internet signal. 🤦♀️ The wind was howling last night and continues this morning.
8/8 132.0 Endocrinologist appointment this afternoon. I know my test results are screwed up by eating only protein and zero vegetables for 4 weeks due to temporary crowns.6 -

After posting the above, I started having severe pain. If I hadn't had kidney stones in the past, I would have thought it was caused from the 3-day stomach virus (which who knows, it might have been why the stone started moving). I ended up in the ER that night writhing in pain. Turned out to be a 8mm stone and it was blocked. My experience with many stones has been that they are extremely painful, but when they are blocked, the pain is just horrific, and there is a high possibly of damage. What made this one even worse was the size. In the past, the pain is unbearable for about 6 hours, then it passes. I never had one so big it would not pass. I was pumped full of opioids, admitted, and had surgery Sunday night to put a stent in to stop any damage from occurring. They couldn't do anything about the stone because of inflamation, so I'm home with some pain, but nothing like the pain I had. I have a Ureteroscopic Laser Lithotripsy next Thursday to remove the blocked one and others that range up to 7mm, and unfortunately a new stent for a short while.
Weighing is useless right now of course. My amazing husband has taken such good care of me and is cooking small, healthy meals, and I'm finally eating a little. @quiltingjaine - thank you for the feel better wishes after my last post . I probably won't post for a couple of weeks, we'll see. Everyone is going thru something. I'm just grateful to be home and not in extreme pain. I hope everyone is doing okay.

08/06 -189.2- (Trend weight 189.6)
08/07 -188.2- (Trend weight 189.5) My weight keeps bouncing around the same exact pound—188.2 to 199.2 and then back. Weird pattern! At least my trend weight keeps creeping down. Today I travel for dental cleanings for myself and son, then meeting my contractor in that town for roof supply shopping at a big box home improvement store. I’ll take him to lunch afterward. I’ll choose wisely. It’s so much easier to order in front of other people LOL. Have a great hump day everyone.
08/08 -188.8- (Trend weight189.4) I typed it wrong yesterday—I meant that I’ve been bouncing back & forth between 188.2 and 189.2 Not 199! Anyway, I’m up today and not surprised since I traveled yesterday for the dentist. No cavities for me, 3 for my son so we have to go back for him in Sept and Oct. for fillings and a “core filling”. Ate at a steak house and one of the sides was Alfredo so I’m not surprised I’m up a bit. Experience tells me this could have been much much worse. Crew is back today to hopefully finish up the last of the windows. Ordered the roofing supplies yesterday which is $350.00 for delivery just to the end of the driveway! I was shocked!

8/08 - 148.4 - I don't know what happened to yesterday, I seem to have lost it entirely. Alas, I must've had a good day because the scale has shown an improvement. I even flickered down to 147.x before settling here. Not bad for still being so sore I'm walking funny from Monday's leg day. Been sticking to macros and the gym this week, as usual. I'm struggling today. Not sure if it's my missing day yesterday or what but I'm really mentally feeling like I'm falling behind/not doing enough to see the progress I'm craving. I know I'm doing what I need and Coach has been super helpful guiding me. I'm obviously doing something right since I'm seeing a change in the scale and my body. Oh the joy of the brain. Tomorrow will be busy - gym followed by a quick breakfast and shower before leading truck maintenance at the VFD. Come home grab the car (which BF is taking to his PT appointment) to take it in for break maintenance (there's an alert to service the parking break), and then into town to register the new mini motorcyle we got for me to practice riding on. Busy busy. I'll do my best to pop on and check in but cannot promise anything.

Previous Day's Comments8/04 - DNP
8/05 - Yesterday was a bit hectic with grocery shopping, meal prepping, and other errands and tasks I couldn't get done Saturday due to travel. I'm feeling pretty good, though, despite the travel, as the scale shows. I managed to meet my macros both Friday and Saturday so I went ahead and aimed to meet them for a full 7 days, win! Coach changed my macros today - she kept protein and fat the same (150g Protein, 75g Fat) and lowered carbs a bit (from 180g to 165g) which was nice because my meal prepped lunch and dinner plus my chosen breakfast this morning (breakfast is my "freebie" that I haven't prepped and can change around based on macro needs) plus my snacks got me within my 10g buffer of each! Win! Leg day was really humbling today. I had to drop a significant amount of weight on nearly every exercise AND I had to drop reps because I nearly failed out at my normal rep range. Not sure if it's a hormone-related thing or if it's due to travel but I simply dropped weight and increased reps to still get a solid workout in.
8/06 - Well then! I guess I've been doing pretty good. It has only been 1 day of my lower macros but since it's just carbs maybe that's it? I also upped my water a bit more, too. She still wants me to get 120+oz but yesterday I got 140oz easy. Also impressive since I'm incredibly sore from yesterday's leg day and usually that means water retention. Apparently I worked them hard despite having to drop weight and reps! Today was much much better. It had to be one of, if not the, best back days I've ever had! I'm going to feel this one in the coming days for sure. I also spent the evening researching and planning out my travel. I have Monday (airport) fully planned out food-wise to meet my macros and fiber goals. Tuesday I have breakfast planned, Wednesday I have breakfast and dinner (airport) planned. Tuesday lunch, dinner and Wednesday lunch are going to be out, likely with my team. I feel immensely better having that sorted. Having to improvise 3 meals is so much better (and easier) than having to improvise 8 meals! I need to make a plan for Thursday once I get back since I'll be getting home around midnight Wednesday night and waking up 6 hours later to work (because I have a meeting I can't miss simply because I got home late from travel. Different story if I was actively traveling during that time). I'll want to already have played that game of tetris so I can just look at my food diary to know what I'm eating. I'm creating things for my grocery list for travel prep (high protein oatmeal & protein bars for travel, fully cooked frozen chicken & steamable veg for Thursday/Friday after I get home for a quick and easy lunch/dinner - BF will have his meal prep since he'll be home). I packed my resistance bands and also booked my hotels- they both have a fitness room so if schedules allow, I can get in a workout in there. Otherwise, I can do a small body weight/resistance band workout in my hotel room. I'm determine to not fall off the wagon!

8/4. 137.0. The highest I have been in seven months! 👣✏️
8/5. 136.3. Hit the gym for some bonus points today. Starting this round off on a better note. 🏋️♀️👣✏️
8/6. 136.9. I let some after 8:00 pm snacking get the better of me last night and was still short on water intake. Made it to the gym and did a 2 mile walk with my dog. Was totally on target with everything today! 🏋️♀️👣✏️💧🚫
8/7. 134.8. See what following the plan can do! Now I just need to do it again. One day at a time! Made it to the gym 3 days in a row! 🏋️♀️👣✏️💧🚫
8/8. 134.9. Dealing with getting estimates from folks that can clean out our crawl space from a burst main water line… need old , wet insulation and vapor liner removed and replaced. Also need estimates from a plumber to repair the pipe. Luckily our neighbor was able to plumber us in with a temporary solution so we can have water and not pay for emergency repairs. So… no gym for me today and probably not tomorrow. 👣✏️💧🚫7 -
@UTMom81 - so sorry to hear the sad news of your Dad, hoping he gets back to his assisted living soon and that he is helped to have a pain free & as comfortable a life as possible. Take care of yourself, you need to be in the best shape to continue to support him. Sending much love and comfort4
-
@fmfdfa2020 - oh dear, so sorry to hear this, you have had a horrific time; until I had them removed I regularly suffered great pain with gall stones, so I can imagine the pain you have been in. Hope that next Thursdays procedure goes well, I'll have you in my thoughts, and that you are kept in relatively less pain until then. Well done to your DH for taking good care of you, I always think it is so hard for the supporting relative who feel so helpless when their loved one is suffering. Sending him love & best wishes too .2

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 268 (my 198th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine for another round.
I’ve been MIA the last few days, been so busy!! We have been at The British Transplant Games; little DGS took part in the under 5’s events, DH & I volunteered. Such an amazing heartwarming event for transplant recipients, donors and their families, all of us there have so similar stories, it is one big family. My food over these days has been totally off, now need to get back in the saddle (to quote _JeffreyD_ 😊).
Goals for this round;
• First and foremost, no feeding frenzies
• to lose!
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.*****

@judefit1 - how wonderful your older siblings are and such an inspiration to not sitting back & accepting old age; I regularly think back about my DM & many members of the older generation that seemed much older than I & my DH feel and act at our age. The old adage that you are as old as you feel, but I would also add as you act. I know that luck with health also plays a big part, but yes, keeping yourself young and as active as you can is a great help. Keep up the good work4

@_JeffreyD_ - hoping your test results next week are good, keeping everything crossed for you2
