@Emkaygirl1 - you are not the only one dealing with meno issues . Its a real struggle but your on the right path with the higher protein and moving more.
March- Beginning weight 212
End of June weight -200.8

July 31- 192.6 (my goal was 197 so I made it and beat it, )
August goals- 187 lbs and focusing on strength training , continued fitness level improvement.
August 1-5 we were on vacation

I am a little surprised at this gain because we did have a couple days of hard hiking but I did consume alchohol and there were a few sweet treats so I probably shouldn't be surprised. We spent a fair bit of time driving as well...... So back to the hard work and focus on healthy food and exercise

New here, but love this thread! I just got back from a month in Spain for my daughter’s graduation gift, and I ate all of the foods and drank all of the drinks! Even with being quite active (walking the last 110kms of the Camino Portuguese in week 2), I managed to come home 10lbs heavier on August 1st. I started trying to turn this around with a 24 hour water fast and then back to prioritizing protein and fiber.

I’m very excited by the progress, but am thinking it was mostly water weight from eating higher sodium than usual and long flights home. I’m cutting back to my previous cap of 5 drinks a week as I definitely enjoyed the wines of Spain quite a bit, as well as some very sugary cocktails and went well above normal amounts for me, but it was the trip of a lifetime and I accepted that the scale would take a hit!

Discipline is the key : Learning a new language, keeping the house clean, maintaining a routine for my babies, being prolific at work.
I'll be keeping the 10:14 intermitent fasting, and I'm going to commit to doing daily yoga. I'll need to find a time during the day or the evening, but it is required. I'll take it one day at a time, tracking everything in the bullet journal.
Ultimate goal: 73 kg
Medium term goal: Stop looking like I'm pregnant
Short term goal: Reach my pre-pregnancy weight 93.0

Weights yesterday went better than I thought it would. PB on my bench press albeit with low weights but it means there’s progress. Tried the 45 min stretch with cardio session today, idea is that it complements the weights sessions. Hated every minute of it - these old knees do not enjoy jumping!

But it was a lovely weekend. And we are back on track today. Last day of the free trial of Premium here. I just can’t get behind the price. But now that I know I can still hang out here I’m not too sad about it.2 -

@axlrozman Welcome to the group! Frankly, the month in Spain was worth it, to try all the foods and experience everything a country has to offer. Now you can just work off the gains and still remember all those good times. Wishing you continued success as you work toward your goal!
@SofaKween I used to love stomping around doing step aerobics, jumping rope, all sorts of stuff. My knees now are like: NO. It sucks how our bodies change, but at least you know what is and isn't working.
@AuroraUwU0 I like your persistence! Routines, tracking, keeping with the vision. You've got this. I hope you enjoy the yoga, regardless of how you work it into your schedule. I really enjoyed that when I was doing it regularly.
@Emkaygirl1 @dannytrees1 If you had a good time, then it was worth it. You know the numbers will come down again. I'm in that boat with you, but we know how this works.

I somehow managed to not indulge even though it was a long weekend. It helps that my partner now wants to cut back too. He’s always been supportive of my efforts but now I need to support him in return so it amplifies the effort a bit.

@ManifestingToday - wasn't just the forward jumping we had to jump backwards too. Reminded me of watching one of the grand children learning how to jump - the arms and body lift but the legs barely leave the floor

Had a good evening yesterday – should have managed my meals better throughout the day as had an early lunch and then dinner in the evening wasn’t until 8 ish, so snacked on salty nachos around 6. Wraps later had cheese in them which I am not a fan of, so that at least cut the carbs down later on as I just had meat and salad.

I've been doing daily yoga and I feel so good for it. Also I'm trying to do it outside, as it turns out I have a huge vitamin D deficiency. We got this!3 -

3 days to put on three pounds. 3 days and I lose 1.3😂. The game is fixed folks!
Ah well. To be fair it really does make sense. But it’s been nice to get back to my healthier eating. It was hard this week because I didn’t get to go shopping and it’s less tempting to eat right when the foods I have to eat right with aren’t yummy. But o treated myself to my favourite ‘little gems’ tomatoes. Some Salmon. An amazing salad dressing that I look forward too. My flavoured bubble water. I fill up on all these delicious but healthy choices and In not left craving a rice crispy square at 2pm. (Well I am. But I can say no with almost convincing conviction.)
I’ve started to find healthy choices that I ENJOY (as Ive always wanted to enjoy my meals) and when my food isn’t doing it for me I’m more apt to turn to foods that do. I’ve never been able to relate to the food is fuel mindset. Of course it is. But food is also ‘good’. And life is too short not to embrace sone enjoyment out of fuel.
I discovered Starbucks eggbites over the weekend and boy those were good! At 7$ a pop I’m sure o can make them at home for a quarter of the price. I found a recipe I’m going to try for next week. It has cottage cheese for extra protein. I think it will be good!

its been a few days , things have been really busy since we got back from vacation and I have been stretched really thin. I know i have not done well with eating healthy meals and with the meds my appetite has been in the tank. I just tried to focus on getting enough protein in but not sure how I did since I didn't track. Last night was the first time I felt like I had an appetite. Overall, Feeling way off track right now with meals/workouts/consistency even though the scale is being nice to me, I know its because I am not eating much at all which isn't the best. I have another busy weekend but my plan is to get back on my schedule next week.
