What's Your Most Recent NSV

I'm calling this a NSV: yesterday there was a small going-away party at work for a co-worker that is leaving that included 5 boxes of pastries and I didn't have one, not even a bite!

I have the devil of a time getting out of my bathing suit top after getting home from the pool.
I’ve been calling my husband upstairs to extricate me before I rip my shoulders out of their sockets.
Yesterday, out of the blue, it occurred to me, I can slip this baby down and over my hips.
Worked like a charm.
I am gobsmacked I can undress this way. As a former fat person, that was never in my sartorial experience. 🤣25 -
I made it to the gym at least twice a week during July and it feels like its getting easier!16

Triglycerides down 👍
Still working on some other stats, but I'm 100% taking that small win.23 -
I have been in maintenance for two months now. I don't always track everything I put in my mouth anymore. So my most recent NSV is that I've learned to still choose healthier foods and continue to eat smaller portion sizes.23

NSV: My skin has cleared up tremendously since I've been eating healthier. I don't have a single blemish, and my skin actually glows. It feels balanced. Been getting compliments. I no longer flinch when I look at my face in the mirror.22

My bras are too big!18

@stegeem That's excellent news! In case you didn't know, it is possible to alter bras so you can get some more wear out of them if you want. If you know someone who sews, there are videos online that explain how... or a tailor can do it too. (Or maybe you'd rather shop for new bras, that's awesome too!)

I averaged 15 minute miles on my daily walk today. my walks are 4.5-5 miles every day.... I don't know if I can keep up that pace, but I licked it today! I started my daily walks 1 1/2 months ago at average of 17-18 mins per mile.20

I am not having sugar cravings or headaches! I’m easily able to resist sweets. I am craving fruit instead and loving all the stuff in season. This is something I literally never thought possible for me.13

Asked my doctor to check my lymph nodes because they felt big.
She said,”This is like an anatomy lesson. I can feel everything.”
She told me not to worry. I can just feel things more simply because I’ve gotten smaller.11 -

I had a similar experience at physical therapy recently: I'd been having some ribcage issues, and the senior PT was showing an assistant PT how to do some manual (massage-y) work on the intercostal muscles between particular ribs.
At one point, the senior PT said something like "you can't find these specific points on a lot of people, but she's thin enough that they're easy to find and work on".15 -
Everyone keeps telling me how good I look!16

I lost a dress size17

I casually borrowed clothes from a friend. That is not something I have ever done before!!15

I'm down a pant size since I started back in about April-ish....it has been slow going as I wasn't super serious about tracking yet again but making better choices. The thing I'm most proud of is that I didn't give up. Saturday was weigh-day and I was slightly up....again. I've been up and down for weeks and realized that my coffee that I've been measuring with my heart is 450 cals! I wanted to cry because I felt like I've given up a lot already and I really didn't want to give that up, too. In the past a pitiful day like this could've ended it for me, but I picked myself back up and made a much lower calorie coffee this morning that I must admit is pretty good, too. I'm proud that I kept going18

Two for me recently. Last night I ran 5K at 6:30 min/km pace, it’s been years since I was sub-7 at all and even then I’ve never broken sub-6 so this is a sign that my fitness is once more improving despite doing more walks than runs this summer.
I also finally made the big chop and now rock a chin length bob instead of my long hair. I love it, but the hairdresser almost had a heart attack when I asked for it 😃14 -
I impressed my climbing coach yesterday.
We were climbing slab. I got two climbs by crimping a single finger tip into a tiny divot. My coach said he thought it was quite impressive, although completely bonkers.11 -
At a large event on the weekend EVERYONE came up to tell me how amazing I looked after losing a large amount of weight. I was expecting a few people to say something but not literally everyone. I was most flattered by a woman who I don't really know! She apparently hadn't seen me in two years she was genuinely really complimentary and hadn't recognized me at first. Lol I'm down 40 pounds and I didn't realize it made that much of a difference. My husband told me later he was approached all night by people saying positive things. I love how I feel with that much less bulk to carry around My number one piece of advice is to stay consistent Slow and steady wins the race. 😉16

I am recovering from a shoulder/bicep tear that occurred in the beginning of June 2024.
Today I was able to do 10assisted pull-ups!18 -
Today I wore a blouse that I had been avoiding because it was too tight. It not only fit, but was loose!15

Feeling confident in a bikini on holiday.9

I went to four grocery stores over the last couple days - that's 4 opportunities to break my goal and buy a treat. But I said "no" at every place.
Another time when I was losing weight it was this saying no to treats that became the catalyst to the weight really coming off. I have since gained and lost and gained 30-40 pounds so hopefully this time around I can learn to maintain!12
