    Welcome everyone!

I'm so glad we are sharing this journey! I will be copying and posting my postings from other boards to save time, but modifying to suit each. Like many, I have closed and reopened my MFP account more than once, but I remember my all-time highest weight.

I will post each week's Sunday weigh-in (with new stats) on the following day, until the final weigh in for the challenge, Tuesday, 12/31/2024.

Today's steps: 11,684 (6.12 miles). My commute pace (to and from work) averages >4mph.

    Have a great evening,

    Hi everyone,

I got "sticker shock" when I stepped on the scale this morning! I was "good" until the 4th, but then: "Blame it on the barbecue!" (Plus, I had trouble "reining it in" on Friday and Saturday.) On the plus side. I had no alcoholic beverages at all.

I will hold off reporting until tomorrow, Monday, July 8th. Hopefully, the scale will then show that I at least maintained, once I get rid of all the excess fluid and sodium. (I will report my stats regardless.)

Enjoy your day and have a great week!

@MadisonMolly2017 A little bit of an artist. A poet and an amateur photographer. Not by trade though; I work in financials for nonprofits

Today I'm back down to 187.2 after hitting 188.8 over the holiday week. Sigh. But I'm resuming my diet and exercise plan that I know works for me tomorrow and that I know makes me feel better. This time it's going to need to be less of a "diet" mindset and more of a "this is my lifestyle" mindset, because I know it works for my body and my mental health!

    Hi everyone,

Below are my initial, "Do-Over" stats:
    3ehaka9si46x.png
It's a bit disappointing, but at least I didn't go back up into the 160's. Today is three weeks until my birthday. I hope to lose at least five pounds by then.

    Have a great week!

For reference, I use a Renpho scale and the original app it used (not the Renpho Health app) which I don't like as well. I got it on Amazon and now it's only $23.99 with a 10% discount! It's the best selling body composition scale, I believe:

I had some mental health stuff and some physical health stuff come up and both those took my time, energy, and motivation. Bad decisions were made. But also some good ones.

Either way, I'm back! And back up to 189 again :grimace: But I know what works best for my mental and physical health this time around, and I have some solid offline and online people supporting me and motivating the journey. I'm excited to be back at it!

    The Stats:
    SW - 201 lbs
    CW - 189.8 lbs
    GW - 160 lbs

Once I get down to 160 lbs, I'll really evaluate if it's healthier to be lighter or if I feel good staying at 160. But either way, I'm confident in hitting that number by the end of this year!

My job has a work party on Dec. 26th, and since I'm remote, I won't see most of my coworkers (who I saw last week) until then. I'm hyped to wow them (and myself!) at the party being 30 lbs down!

@itladyee That would be the dream for sure! Definitely a big motivator.
What new goals are you going to meet before end of year? What will you do to help yourself meet them? No shame in changing up the goals a bit to be achievable!

Other main motivator for me is I want to be able to keep up with the middle and high schoolers during camp activities, so I can be the cool/fun/interactive counselor. Would be much more fun than just watching half the time!

    Weekly Stats:
    SW 189.8
    CW 183.6

Had a big drop on Wednesday morning - I think maybe it was my getting over all the sodium from camp food  Today and yesterday I've been at 183.6, and that's great! Not going to complain at all about 6 lbs down in the first week, as long as that's a one time fluke. Wouldn't be healthy to lose that much every week.

End of Month GW - >179.5
End of Year GW - 160

Hi everyone, the "dropout" is BACK! looks like I need to "turn the page" (yet again)!

For the remainder of this year, I plan to weigh in on Wednesdays, because as of this Wednesday, there will be only 19 weeks left until 2025! Can you believe it? I can hardly believe that September is just two weeks from today!

Today is my 66th birthday. The scale showed about 162 lbs. this morning, which is about 22 lbs. Higher than what I hoped to weigh by now. Can I lose it by the end of this year? Yes I can! But I need to stay focused on my goals.

Here I go again! I will report my stats on Wednesday.

Have a great week! πŸ’ž Carole

    Hi everyone,

I've had some trouble "getting my bearings"; so I've decided on one, FINAL "do over" from tomorrow until at least the first day of 2025 to reach my initial goal weight of 140 lbs. or less.

I can hardly believe that tomorrow is SEPTEMBER! It's also a Sunday. I think Sunday weigh-in days work better for me; so tomorrow morning will be my new DAY ONE!

I will try to be consistent in weighing in every Sunday and reporting before the end of the day.

I will post stats and progress as well.

    Enjoy the Labor Day weekend!

    Hello everyone,

Happy September 1st! This is the very first day of my brand-new "DO-OVER"! I plan to achieve my initial goal weight of 140 lbs. or less (within "normal" BMI range for my height of 5'3") by New Year's Day, 01/01/2025. I will post my scale app stats and progress every Sunday, with a final weigh-in on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. Below is the first scale app post:
