@frankwbrown Weymouth is further down the coast from me, but we do enjoy visiting the Weymouth area and have had some lovely holidays there. I am further east - quite close to Brighton - if you know that area at all? I've just done a quick Google search - were you involved with the Neptunes?

I never made it to Brighton, but I did make it to Bournemouth once to see Emerson, Lake and Palmer in concert.
Neptunes? Neptune House? Not sure what you mean.
I lived in a typical English house. I was assigned to a three-man microwave communications station out on the Bill of Portland. We were given food and housing allowances since we were living on the local economy. I would get up in the morning, hop in my Morris Mini and drive out to Bill of Portland where our little microwave station was. The only thing that reminded me I was in the USAF were the Air Force fatigues I'd wear to work. It was kinda like a two-year vacation. 😄
(It's long gone now. That little hut was part of the ground-based microwave/tropospheric scatter communications network run by the USAF and has since been replaced by satellites.)

Ahh, I wondered if you were involved with the Neptune aircraft - which came up on a google search. It sounds like you have some great memories. The area has probably changed alot!

Happy to stay at last week's weight. I have indulged a bit this week, but happy to get back to eating sensibly again. Good luck everyone. We are getting there!

10/01-193.6-(Trend Weight: 193.8)- No overnight change and it seems I’ve been stuck in this general vicinity for a couple of weeks. It’s time to get down and dirty and make a big dent in it. I’d like to get back into the 180’s in October.

10/08-193.8-(Trend Weight: 194.0)- I made no progress this week and that is disheartening. So, yesterday I called the lady who bought my local businesses when I retired and invited her to go over to the school to walk the hallways and she joined me. We put in 3 miles at a medium pace before leaving because we felt a little in the way due to a girls volleyball game that started (they were blocking off some of the hallways). I think what helped me the most is that I didn’t want to blow my calorie/carb counts later with useless snacks since it was a real effort to drive somewhere to exercise and put the time in. (No gyms to join in my county). We are going again today since Wednesday is out this week for both of us and I can never go on Thur or Fri due to meeting bus and babysitting DGS every week. However, this Thursday I travel out-of-town to complete my son’s dental procedure so I’m going to have to plan Very Carefully for that. I’m a little sore today after walking but that’s a good thing, right?

Finally see a 150 something. Hoping for 149 something next week. Slow and steady. My husband’s bday dinner is Sunday, cheesecake and pie 😵‍💫, so I will need to eat mindful at dinner and try and avoid those apps. Im pushing myself to end this challenge strong.

So close to my goal of -10 lbs. A few more ounces to go- now to maintain that loss.

Have been walking a lot but I have only worked out once this past week. Need to do better. Fall is such a busy time for me at work. Working some evenings added to the regular day hours. My family has birthdays this month. I'm exhausted for some reason, so I am lacking energy. I have been taking vitamins and have meditated for 30 days in a row which helps. Alcohol free for 22 days as well.

    10 pounds! Congratulations!
