Up 1.4 pounds this morning and no change in waist measurement. This has been how it's been up a few down a few. I'll think about what I can change. Good luck to everyone this week!5 -
Good morning everyone!
Weight-in Wednesday had good results this week! Down 2.9 lb overall. It's been fluctuating a ton all week, but this is the lowest it's been since I re-started on MFP. Scale sensors say that I'm down 0.2% fat and up 0.2% muscle over the 2 weeks of January. I'm sure the sensors aren't totally accurate but they do tend do be pretty consistent for me when I'm not working out, so I'll call that a win.
NSV for the week: down .5 inch in waist and tummy measurements, and have been keeping up my workouts consistently. Feeling good, but just have to keep this up and not taper off like I usually do!6 -

Down 3.5 pounds this week which is crazy. Did finally have my first day of not logging yesterday, so we will see how it goes. Also got a new puppy, who needs me to wake up in the middle of the night to take him out so I am a little nervous about my willpower suffering under the lack of sleep. We will see!

Hi, and Happy New Year
Last week was good, getting back into the groove of meal prepping and exercise. Giving myself a pat on the back for committing to my goals for the week which resulted in shedding 3.5lbs (which is the majority of the holiday weight gain). Still need to lose another 3.5 lbs to get to my pre-Holidays weight. This will be my ultimate goal for January
LETS GET IT!!!

I think most of the "holiday" eating and drinking has come and gone. I am close to where I was middle of December. Evening snacking and portion control will be focus for the next week. I will also have to be careful as we head out of town this weekend and typically while on the road its fast-food or restaurants where I have tendency to over eat.11 -

Honestly, I have no idea how I went up. I was more active and logged my food. The only thing I can think of that last week, the scale was off and made it seem that I lost more weight than I did. This is a marathon, not a sprint and I am staying the course! I’m hoping for a loss next week!
Have a good week everyone!12 -

Hey everyone
I enjoy reading your updates and insights... they're always helpful. Sometimes we think we're the only ones going through it ... but I realize that rarely, that's the case
@Walela617 a new kitteh !!! I love it !!! happy bonding. I really like the mindset of each Wednesday being a chance to re-start/re-assess/re-focus. We must also remember to be kind to ourselves ... we are trying, we will stub a toe once in a while but as long as we get up and get back at it, it a win !
@colleenannsaylor have you ever tried protein powder ? I've use the brand Isopure for over 10 years now (its low carb and sweetened with stevia/monk fruit), I also switch up with Vital Proteins Collagen peptides. There are also good plant based protein powders that you can try
@ScienceofTeaching from personal experience, I know its hard to stay on track/committed when the scale doesn't move or moves up when we're doing everything right !! In times like those, i try to re-*kitten* my macros and double check or re/start weighing and measuring my foods

Intro: I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a battle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. So, cooking heathy meals the kids will actually eat, as well as trying to find time to exercise are struggles for me.

Weekly update: I'm happy with my loss! I stayed within my calorie goal each day; right now I am set for 1/2 lb. per week (1350 calories). It is tough to stay motivated when the loss is so small, but when I've tried 1 lb. per week (1200 calories/day), it is unsustainable for me. I do try to exercise/move each day, but I don't log that. I always joke that my body is like a Toyota Prius; I don't burn a lot of 'gas'! So, any extra weight lost from exercise is a bonus!
This week, I started using the workouts on the SeniorShape by Lauren YouTube channel. They are great for beginners and short enough to sneak in to a busy day. I'm looking forward to nicer weather and getting in some long walks outside!9 -

Hello! I'm late to the game but I'd like to join you all! I'm really struggling. I've recently gotten to a much healthier mental place (yay!), but now that I'm able to focus a little better on my physical health I feel so frustrated. Even my goal weight for this challenge is kind of discouraging. After turning 35 I definitely don't lose weight as easily as when I was younger. I'm hoping that checking in with y'all will put a little joy, anticipation, and accountability into it!

01/01-193.4-(Trend Weight: 192.9)-
01/08-194.0-(Trend Weight: 193.1)- After my hair appointment yesterday I just completely threw in the towel. I ran local errands in my town and the next for about 4 hours. I stopped at a local restaurant’s parking lot to make a phone call and decided to go in and eat. I NEVER do that! I threw all caution to the wind and ate anything I wanted for the rest of the day. I didn’t care then but I do care now. One good thing is that I hit up the grocery store and did pick up some more foods that are part of my healthy eating plan so there are no excuses today! DD and DGS come later this afternoon to stay the entire weekend like they do every week, so I will have to be diligent but I will do it! I feel pretty confident right now. I am really feeling a lot of pressure and depression from this renovation issue. It’s consuming me. I need to get back in my lane, fight my body’s urges since the holidays and do the work. Me to Self: You’ve got so much on your mind right now Donna and that’s okay, but keep your eye on the ball!
01/15-190.6-(Trend Weight: 192.2)- I’ve worked very hard this week for the most part but exercise is still non-existent due to nothing but pure unadulterated laziness. Bathroom results (TMI) and my fluid retention (as a heart patient taking Lasix most days) really factor in. Today I am at what I would call a true weight and this is the jumping off point that I need to reduce from. I’ve got a long way to go but slow and steady usually wins the race so I’ll keep a positive attitude and try not to focus on what’s against me, but rather what I have going for me. And part of that is having all of you. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm happy to see the scale trending in the right direction! I'm honestly wondering if maybe I need to lower my calorie intake. I'll keep trying the same one I've been doing until the end of this month, but if it doesn't budge much by Jan 31, then I'll try going a little lower. We'll see!

Earlier in the week, I hit that 200 lb mark I’ve been working towards. It’s normal to teeter-totter on the scale. Yay! I did a lite workout today. I’m starting to feel better. I’m thinking about Springtime since I walked by the fake floral section at JoAnn’s the other day. The reality is, it’s only 17* by me. 🤣 What will it mean for me, if I reach my end goal? Wait, not if, when!!! 💐🌷🌼🪻🌸 😃

@Rainbow2300 I was having the same thoughts of spring today at Walmart. They have their seeds and gardening stuff out already! It's also freezing here. We're supposed to get into the mid 30s this weekend, and that seems warm and cozy compared to the past few weeks in the teens and 20s.3

Good morning everyone! I'm a day late but have had some success. Today looks good but I have been up and down all week. I upped my protien and calories yesterday and an going to stick with that for a bit. My calorie deficit may be too low based on my strenth training. Or I need a good b.m. (lol), or I had too much sodium, or.... you see where I'm going with this. Moral of the story is stick with it and focus on the little victories. I appreciate having a group of Like minded people who are so supportive. It really helps.
