Day 85—01/19— 150.4. Grumble, grumble.
Day 86—01/20— 151.3. I thought I did okay yesterday. I did end the day with one beer, and couldn't get to the gym because I had to stay home with the kids. But I thought eating was decent enough. Not sure it deserved a pound increase.
Day 87—01/21— 149.1. Happy to see it come down a bit. Food was good, I went for a walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.
Day 88—01/22— 147.5. Woo-hoo, I'm very happy with this woosh. Eating was okay, but some extra snacking did creep in. I went to the gym to run a 5k on the treadmill.
Day 89—01/23— 148.4. Happy it's still under 149.0. Food was just a smidge higher than I would like, I really have to work on being just 100-200ish calories lower. But exercise was good, with a 45 min treadmill run.

Previous and Future WeeksPrevious days' notes were lost when I got a new phone and my notes didn't get carried over. Copying and pasting from an old post proved to be too troublesome, especially for something that no one really needs or wants to re-read.
Day 36—12/01— 148.7. I was expecting my weight to be up from my sick weight yesterday, but wasn't expecting this much. I ate yesterday, but still well under my calories as I wasn't feeling great. Oh well.

Day 38—12/03— 148.3. I'm happy it came down a little.
Day 39—12/04— 147.9.
Day 40—12/05— 146.7. Woo-hoo! I'm super excited for this new low. Hopefully it'll stick for the end of the week goal
Day 41—12/06— 147.0. I feel like I'm in the zone right now. I'm motivated, my healthy habits are taking hold and becoming routine, and I just feel like I'm doing things "right". I know this feeling won't last forever, but I'm going to try to hold on to it for a few more pounds at least.
Day 42—12/07— 146.4. My boys are spending the weekend with Gramma, so I'll have some more time to myself today. Have some errands, chores and things to do, but hoping to also have some down time for Me Time and maybe a little extra at the gym.

Day 43—12/08— 145.5. Hmmm... I'm dropping weight a bit too fast. Almost 2 pounds in 2 days? A bit of a woosh may have been building up, but I also think I'm a bit dehydrated. I haven't been focusing on water the last few days. So I'm going to try drinking more today, and see if my weight evens out a bit.
Day 44—12/09— 147.2. I drank more water yesterday, putting me around where I think I should be. I gotta stay hydrated.
Day 45—12/10—147.7. Took the day off from the gym, but went for a walk. Calories were just a smidge higher than I would like them to be. Going to pre-track my food today.
Day 46—12/11— 147.7. Anxiety was pretty bad. Exercise was pretty scarce yesterday. Eating was okay.
Day 47—12/12— 148.0. I was really tired yesterday so took it easy, again. Food wasn't the best. I'm going to do better today.
Day 48—12/13— 146.4.
Day 49—12/14— 148.0. My weight was everywhere this week. I'm just going to take this week's gain with a grain of salt.

Day 50—12/15—147.9 . I had a few drinks last night. I'm surprised my weight isn't up more.
Day 51—12/16— 150.4. My food choices were horrible this weekend so this is not much of a surprise. I'm back at it today though.
Day 52—12/17— 150.8. Well this isn't good. I'll do better today than what I've been doing the last few days.
Day 53—12/18— 149.7. Today's goal: no Christmas cookies.
Day 54—12/19— 150.5. Well, I had Christmas cookies yesterday.
Day 55—12/20— 150.2. Gotta pull myself together. Today will be better.
Day 56—12/21— 150.7. I did much better than the previous few days. Bummer that the scale doesn't recognize that.

Day 57—12/22— 149.8. trying to control my eating a bit more.
Day 58—12/23— 149.5. I'm sick. Going to take it easy for today.

Day 64—12/29—149.1. Christmas with my mom today. And then I HAVE to get back on track. Still have a pretty good cough, but hopefully that clears up soon.
Day 65—12/30—148.6. Christmas is officially over for me. It's time to get serious again. Exercise is still going to be limited due to my lungs still getting better, but there's no reason I can't get my diet under control.

Day 67—01/01— 149.0. Happy New Year!
December was pretty much a wash. I had some success earlier in the month, but landed about where I was at the beginning. At least I'm not up. Onward and downward.
Day 68—01/02— 150.2. I logged everything. As bad and as far over as it was, I at least logged it. Today will be better.
Day 69—01/03— 149.5. Logged and stayed under calories. Also went to the gym for a walk/run on the treadmill. Trying to make the positive changes to see the results I would like.
Day 70—01/04—149.5. Food was okay yesterday, but could be better. I fell asleep on the couch instead of going to the gym, but did get a walk in earlier in the day.
I missed my goal for the week by a lot, but I have my habits going in the right direction and I'm sure the scale will be on my side soon.

Day 71—01/05— 147.8. I don't really trust this woosh, I feel like it may be temporary. I ran a 5k on the treadmill as well as some walking. Food was within calorie goal, but there wasn't much good nutrition in it. I'll have to do better.
Day 72—01/06— 149.5. I ran 5k and did some walking on the treadmill, totalling an hour. But food was less than perfect.
Day 73—01/07—149.6. I guess "you can't be upset by the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do" applies here. I've been doing okay. Food hasn't been horrible, but not great. Exercise has been decent, but not enough to offset the not great diet. I'm guessing this is about maintenance, since I've been averaging mid 149 for a while. Time to tighten up the diet (I'm sure I've said this a lot lately, but I'm serious this time, the lack of results is starting to frustrate me.)
Day 74—01/08— 150.0. Food was better, but still room for improvement (I don't need crackers when my boys snack!). Exercise was good, outdoor walk and ran 5k.

Day 79—01/13— 148.8. Ran 10k. Food was okay, though a few too many wasted calories on food with little healthy nutrition.

Beginning of Round Thoughts:
I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But I’m not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

Day 88-01/22-191.4-(Trend weight 192.8) I’m surprised at the drop. Meals were good again but sneaking into the night time snacks is still happening and needs to stop. I have identified it as intense sugar cravings and emotional self-sabotage eating. I’m still going round & round with the old contractor. My only relief is that the new contractors are moving along very well though they do have many prior commitments that sometimes brings things to a stall. Weather is ridiculously cold here and they are dealing with helping multiple people or small companies with frozen pipes etc. Day 3 of no school here due to below zero temps. I have not been sleeping well or sleeping enough as the emotions affects that too. I feel like I’m just a mess. However, TMI cooperated so that explains the scale read this morning. Stay warm folks! And for those in warm temps, stay cool. Stay cool…..Hmmmm……That sounds like something I would have written in the 1970’s in a high school year book! I hope you older folks got a chuckle there!

I thought that it was the original Rick's Cafe in Casablanca.
Turns out that the movie was shot in California.
Somebody opened it in 2004 in Casablanca, so it is not origininal.
As I am having fun researching where I might want to be on my 65th birthday it was one of the places on my list - stay in Malaga Spain, take the ferry across the Gibraltor strait, go to Casablanca Morocco.
Dreaming is fun.
Anyway, it does look like they created it to look like the original.
The menu looks pretty basic although I do like the look of the Crown Stroganoff.

The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

Day 85—01/19— 147.4 - Wow, I slept until noon today!! Normally I am an early riser. There is skating today, but my knee and ankle are so sore, so I'm not sure if I will go or not. It is my greatest love, but I just might need rest today.
Day 86—01/20— 149.0 - That is from Saturday catching up with me. Yesterday was a good day.
Day 87—01/21— 149.0 - I really thought that I would see a significant drop this morning. Maybe tomorrow.
I got a message that my custom windows and doors have arrived in town, they will be dropped off tomorrow and installation will begin sometime next week. Day off today, going to putter and move everything so that they have access. I could never begin this project on a work day, working 2 jobs, so this is perfect. I knew that I needed new windows when I bought the house in 2004. I also needed all new: Electrical, Plumbing, second bathroom, front porch repair and duradek, raised garden beds built etc. etc. The windows are $12,000, but I got a grant from Clean BC for $9,500, so it is finally going to happen. So excited!

Late to the game but I need to try this again. I’ve gained a bit since I quit the last 100-day challenge (#18 I think), my knees hurt, I’m on meds for high cholesterol, I’m behind on paperwork, and my home is as cluttered and disorganized as it’s ever been. I know it’s all connected. I need to start making changes and taking accountability again. Consistency is not my strong suit but I refuse to quit. 😇Day 64 12/29 – 150.3 I’m sure my body is still recovering from the last few weeks of unhealthy eating and only sporadic exercise. Today was the first low carb/low refined sugar day in a very long time. High sodium dinner tho. Prepped 5 days of overnight oats to help me stay on track. I also did a 50-min. Peloton work-out. Off to somewhat of a good start. But it’s only day 1 for me.
Day 65 12/30 – 148.7 (- 1.6) Tried to stay on track today. TRIED. Oh well. Tomorrow is our NYE celebration. Enough said.
Day 66 12/31 – 148.9 (+ .2) Happy New Year everyone! Not surprised by my weight this morning, and expect the same for the next few days while my body processes all the alcohol and carbs from celebrating. I’m so looking forward to a great 2025.
Day 67 01/01 – 150 (+ 1.1) Relaxing day watching some college football, visiting with family, eating leftovers, including lots of desserts.
Day 68 01/02 – 151.4 (+ 1.4) Determined to be back on track today after 4 days of complete indulgence, alcohol included. Exercise might be a challenge as my knee still hurts, but I will certainly try to get some movement in. It’s also the last day with my DD who returns to her home tomorrow. Sure going to miss her.
Day 69 01/03 – 150.3 (-1.1) Finally, a little decrease. Don’t think I’ll make my goal weight tomorrow tho, but that’s ok. We’re only 3 days into the new year. Couldn’t resist a donut from Krispy Kreme last night. My leg extension machine arrived yesterday. I hope this helps to strengthen my knees and reduce knee pain.
Day 70 01/04 – 148.1 (-2.2) I met my not so ambitious goal weight this week. Most likely just water and inflammation (not fat), but it’s still encouraging.

Day 71 01/05 – 149.5 (+ 1.4) Out with friends last night. Had a burger w/ fries and 1 vodka on the rocks which has no sugar or carbs. I thought I kept it pretty much under control. Still no exercise.
Day 72 01/06 – 149.2 (- .3) Much needed rain in Maui this morning as there was a small brush fire in my neighborhood yesterday. Hopefully, anything left smoldering is now totally put out. And I almost stayed on track foodwise yesterday, but I gave in to a salty / carb craving late last night.
Day 73 01/07 – 148 0 (- 1.2) Could have done better with what I ate yesterday. It’s always the night-time hunger that ruins it. I just had to have that pumpkin muffin after dinner. Why? I do have healthier options to choose from. Ugh! But I did manage to get an hour of exercise in so I’m happy about that.
Day 74 01/08 – 147.2 (- .8) Slowly edging away from the 150 mark. I’m guessing I’m getting rid of water retention from the overeating & junk food consumed over the Holidays. Eating was on point yesterday. Chose a healthier nighttime snack and ended it there. Did some pilates & core exercises, then a good stretch session which always makes me feel good. Wish everyday could be like yesterday.
Day 75 01/09 – 146.9 (- .3) Hmmm… not sure I trust this number. Ate well until after dinner, as usual. I mean it wasn’t that bad but I could have done without the muffin. Got an hour of workout in. Knee is hurting this morning.
Day 76 01/10 – 148.2 (+ 1.3) Crazy fluctuation. Eating was on point yesterday. No exercise though. Rested my knee. It hurt even more this morning.
Day 77 01/11 – 147.9 (- .3) Lunch and dinner were on point yesterday. Still snacked, but I’ve been eating “healthier” snacks and really trying[/I/ not to over do it. No exercise.

Day 80 01/14 – 147.6 (- 1.2) Eating was just ok. I had pasta for dinner and a mini chocolate bar which I could have done without. Got a 1-hour workout in: cardio & upper-body toning.
Day 81 01/15 – 147.6 (= 0) Eating was on point yesterday and I got a workout in (chest & back and Pilates). No change in weight. This evening I’ll be meeting a friend for cocktails. Guess I’ll forego my favorite sauvignon blanc and have vodka on the rocks instead to avoid the sugar.
Day 82 01/16 – 148.2 (+ .6) Well, I did not have the will power to turn down the smash burger & fries last night, plus no workout yesterday. So the result is this increase in weight which brings me further from this week’s goal weight. On the brightside, I enjoyed a nice pau hana (after work) meet-up with an old friend!
Day 83 01/17 – 147.5 (- .7) Stuck to the plan yesterday. And got a 60-min workout in: Cycling, upper body toning & core. Happy to be back to pre-smash burger & fries weight. 😋 Sunny this morning but we’re expecting much needed rain this evening.

Beginning of Round Thoughts:
I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But I’m not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

Day 85—01/19— 150.4. Grumble, grumble.
Day 86—01/20— 151.3. I thought I did okay yesterday. I did end the day with one beer, and couldn't get to the gym because I had to stay home with the kids. But I thought eating was decent enough. Not sure it deserved a pound increase.
Day 87—01/21— 149.1. Happy to see it come down a bit. Food was good, I went for a walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.
Day 88—01/22— 147.5. Woo-hoo, I'm very happy with this woosh. Eating was okay, but some extra snacking did creep in. I went to the gym to run a 5k on the treadmill.
Day 89—01/23— 148.4. Happy it's still under 149.0. Food was just a smidge higher than I would like, I really have to work on being just 100-200ish calories lower. But exercise was good, with a 45 min treadmill run.
Day 90—01/24— 148.4. Happy this number is sticking around. Food was good and I ran for an hour on the treadmill.

Previous and Future WeeksPrevious days' notes were lost when I got a new phone and my notes didn't get carried over. Copying and pasting from an old post proved to be too troublesome, especially for something that no one really needs or wants to re-read.
Day 36—12/01— 148.7. I was expecting my weight to be up from my sick weight yesterday, but wasn't expecting this much. I ate yesterday, but still well under my calories as I wasn't feeling great. Oh well.

Day 41—12/06— 147.0. I feel like I'm in the zone right now. I'm motivated, my healthy habits are taking hold and becoming routine, and I just feel like I'm doing things "right". I know this feeling won't last forever, but I'm going to try to hold on to it for a few more pounds at least.

Day 43—12/08— 145.5. Hmmm... I'm dropping weight a bit too fast. Almost 2 pounds in 2 days? A bit of a woosh may have been building up, but I also think I'm a bit dehydrated. I haven't been focusing on water the last few days. So I'm going to try drinking more today, and see if my weight evens out a bit.
Day 44—12/09— 147.2. I drank more water yesterday, putting me around where I think I should be. I gotta stay hydrated.
Day 45—12/10—147.7. Took the day off from the gym, but went for a walk. Calories were just a smidge higher than I would like them to be. Going to pre-track my food today.
Day 46—12/11— 147.7. Anxiety was pretty bad. Exercise was pretty scarce yesterday. Eating was okay.
Day 47—12/12— 148.0. I was really tired yesterday so took it easy, again. Food wasn't the best. I'm going to do better today.

Day 65—12/30—148.6. Christmas is officially over for me. It's time to get serious again. Exercise is still going to be limited due to my lungs still getting better, but there's no reason I can't get my diet under control.

December was pretty much a wash. I had some success earlier in the month, but landed about where I was at the beginning. At least I'm not up. Onward and downward.
Day 68—01/02— 150.2. I logged everything. As bad and as far over as it was, I at least logged it. Today will be better.
Day 69—01/03— 149.5. Logged and stayed under calories. Also went to the gym for a walk/run on the treadmill. Trying to make the positive changes to see the results I would like.
Day 70—01/04—149.5. Food was okay yesterday, but could be better. I fell asleep on the couch instead of going to the gym, but did get a walk in earlier in the day.
I missed my goal for the week by a lot, but I have my habits going in the right direction and I'm sure the scale will be on my side soon.

Day 71—01/05— 147.8. I don't really trust this woosh, I feel like it may be temporary. I ran a 5k on the treadmill as well as some walking. Food was within calorie goal, but there wasn't much good nutrition in it. I'll have to do better.
Day 72—01/06— 149.5. I ran 5k and did some walking on the treadmill, totalling an hour. But food was less than perfect.
Day 73—01/07—149.6. I guess "you can't be upset by the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do" applies here. I've been doing okay. Food hasn't been horrible, but not great. Exercise has been decent, but not enough to offset the not great diet. I'm guessing this is about maintenance, since I've been averaging mid 149 for a while. Time to tighten up the diet (I'm sure I've said this a lot lately, but I'm serious this time, the lack of results is starting to frustrate me.)

The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

Day 85—01/19— 147.4 - Wow, I slept until noon today!! Normally I am an early riser. There is skating today, but my knee and ankle are so sore, so I'm not sure if I will go or not. It is my greatest love, but I just might need rest today.
Day 86—01/20— 149.0 - That is from Saturday catching up with me. Yesterday was a good day.
Day 87—01/21— 149.0 - I really thought that I would see a significant drop this morning. Maybe tomorrow.
I got a message that my custom windows and doors have arrived in town, they will be dropped off tomorrow and installation will begin sometime next week. Day off today, going to putter and move everything so that they have access. I could never begin this project on a work day, working 2 jobs, so this is perfect. I knew that I needed new windows when I bought the house in 2004. I also needed all new: Electrical, Plumbing, second bathroom, front porch repair and duradek, raised garden beds built etc. etc. The windows are $12,000, but I got a grant from Clean BC for $9,500, so it is finally going to happen. So excited!

Day 89—01/23— 149.0 - Holding pattern. I have had salad every night this week, hoping that it will all come out soon, so to speak. If my body has not just used it all as nutrition.

Day 86—01/20— 175.6 - Feeling better today. Got out and got my blood work done. Stopped and got a taco bowl for lunch/dinner. Eagles WON!!!
Day 87—01/21— 175.8 - Had a big salad for lunch...will have soup for dinner, Got my blood work results....A1c down to 6.2....pre diabetic! The weight loss is paying off.
I ordered a new snail for my aquarium and it took over a week to get here in these frigid temps. I popped it right in the tank and I am hoping it survived. Should have been here Saturday....(razzinfrazzinpostoffice...)

Late to the game but I need to try this again. I’ve gained a bit since I quit the last 100-day challenge (#18 I think), my knees hurt, I’m on meds for high cholesterol, I’m behind on paperwork, and my home is as cluttered and disorganized as it’s ever been. I know it’s all connected. I need to start making changes and taking accountability again. Consistency is not my strong suit but I refuse to quit. 😇Day 64 12/29 – 150.3 I’m sure my body is still recovering from the last few weeks of unhealthy eating and only sporadic exercise. Today was the first low carb/low refined sugar day in a very long time. High sodium dinner tho. Prepped 5 days of overnight oats to help me stay on track. I also did a 50-min. Peloton work-out. Off to somewhat of a good start. But it’s only day 1 for me.
Day 65 12/30 – 148.7 (- 1.6) Tried to stay on track today. TRIED. Oh well. Tomorrow is our NYE celebration. Enough said.
Day 66 12/31 – 148.9 (+ .2) Happy New Year everyone! Not surprised by my weight this morning, and expect the same for the next few days while my body processes all the alcohol and carbs from celebrating. I’m so looking forward to a great 2025.
Day 67 01/01 – 150 (+ 1.1) Relaxing day watching some college football, visiting with family, eating leftovers, including lots of desserts.
Day 68 01/02 – 151.4 (+ 1.4) Determined to be back on track today after 4 days of complete indulgence, alcohol included. Exercise might be a challenge as my knee still hurts, but I will certainly try to get some movement in. It’s also the last day with my DD who returns to her home tomorrow. Sure going to miss her.
Day 69 01/03 – 150.3 (-1.1) Finally, a little decrease. Don’t think I’ll make my goal weight tomorrow tho, but that’s ok. We’re only 3 days into the new year. Couldn’t resist a donut from Krispy Kreme last night. My leg extension machine arrived yesterday. I hope this helps to strengthen my knees and reduce knee pain.

Day 71 01/05 – 149.5 (+ 1.4) Out with friends last night. Had a burger w/ fries and 1 vodka on the rocks which has no sugar or carbs. I thought I kept it pretty much under control. Still no exercise.
Day 72 01/06 – 149.2 (- .3) Much needed rain in Maui this morning as there was a small brush fire in my neighborhood yesterday. Hopefully, anything left smoldering is now totally put out. And I almost stayed on track foodwise yesterday, but I gave in to a salty / carb craving late last night.
Day 73 01/07 – 148 0 (- 1.2) Could have done better with what I ate yesterday. It’s always the night-time hunger that ruins it. I just had to have that pumpkin muffin after dinner. Why? I do have healthier options to choose from. Ugh! But I did manage to get an hour of exercise in so I’m happy about that.
Day 74 01/08 – 147.2 (- .8) Slowly edging away from the 150 mark. I’m guessing I’m getting rid of water retention from the overeating & junk food consumed over the Holidays. Eating was on point yesterday. Chose a healthier nighttime snack and ended it there. Did some pilates & core exercises, then a good stretch session which always makes me feel good. Wish everyday could be like yesterday.
Day 75 01/09 – 146.9 (- .3) Hmmm… not sure I trust this number. Ate well until after dinner, as usual. I mean it wasn’t that bad but I could have done without the muffin. Got an hour of workout in. Knee is hurting this morning.
Day 76 01/10 – 148.2 (+ 1.3) Crazy fluctuation. Eating was on point yesterday. No exercise though. Rested my knee. It hurt even more this morning.

Day 80 01/14 – 147.6 (- 1.2) Eating was just ok. I had pasta for dinner and a mini chocolate bar which I could have done without. Got a 1-hour workout in: cardio & upper-body toning.
Day 81 01/15 – 147.6 (= 0) Eating was on point yesterday and I got a workout in (chest & back and Pilates). No change in weight. This evening I’ll be meeting a friend for cocktails. Guess I’ll forego my favorite sauvignon blanc and have vodka on the rocks instead to avoid the sugar.
Day 82 01/16 – 148.2 (+ .6) Well, I did not have the will power to turn down the smash burger & fries last night, plus no workout yesterday. So the result is this increase in weight which brings me further from this week’s goal weight. On the brightside, I enjoyed a nice pau hana (after work) meet-up with an old friend!
Day 83 01/17 – 147.5 (- .7) Stuck to the plan yesterday. And got a 60-min workout in: Cycling, upper body toning & core. Happy to be back to pre-smash burger & fries weight. 😋 Sunny this morning but we’re expecting much needed rain this evening.

Day 85—01/19— 150.4. Grumble, grumble.
Day 86—01/20— 151.3. I thought I did okay yesterday. I did end the day with one beer, and couldn't get to the gym because I had to stay home with the kids. But I thought eating was decent enough. Not sure it deserved a pound increase.
Day 87—01/21— 149.1. Happy to see it come down a bit. Food was good, I went for a walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.
Day 88—01/22— 147.5. Woo-hoo, I'm very happy with this woosh. Eating was okay, but some extra snacking did creep in. I went to the gym to run a 5k on the treadmill.
Day 89—01/23— 148.4. Happy it's still under 149.0. Food was just a smidge higher than I would like, I really have to work on being just 100-200ish calories lower. But exercise was good, with a 45 min treadmill run.
Day 90—01/24— 148.4. Happy this number is sticking around. Food was good and I ran for an hour on the treadmill.
Day 91—01/25— 149.0. Food was good, did a short run on the treadmill. I'm going to focus on not falling away from my goals over the weekend, which tends to be a weakness of mine.

Day 36—12/01— 148.7. I was expecting my weight to be up from my sick weight yesterday, but wasn't expecting this much. I ate yesterday, but still well under my calories as I wasn't feeling great. Oh well.

Day 43—12/08— 145.5. Hmmm... I'm dropping weight a bit too fast. Almost 2 pounds in 2 days? A bit of a woosh may have been building up, but I also think I'm a bit dehydrated. I haven't been focusing on water the last few days. So I'm going to try drinking more today, and see if my weight evens out a bit.
Day 44—12/09— 147.2. I drank more water yesterday, putting me around where I think I should be. I gotta stay hydrated.
Day 45—12/10—147.7. Took the day off from the gym, but went for a walk. Calories were just a smidge higher than I would like them to be. Going to pre-track my food today.
Day 46—12/11— 147.7. Anxiety was pretty bad. Exercise was pretty scarce yesterday. Eating was okay.

December was pretty much a wash. I had some success earlier in the month, but landed about where I was at the beginning. At least I'm not up. Onward and downward.

Day 69—01/03— 149.5. Logged and stayed under calories. Also went to the gym for a walk/run on the treadmill. Trying to make the positive changes to see the results I would like.
Day 70—01/04—149.5. Food was okay yesterday, but could be better. I fell asleep on the couch instead of going to the gym, but did get a walk in earlier in the day.
I missed my goal for the week by a lot, but I have my habits going in the right direction and I'm sure the scale will be on my side soon.

Day 71—01/05— 147.8. I don't really trust this woosh, I feel like it may be temporary. I ran a 5k on the treadmill as well as some walking. Food was within calorie goal, but there wasn't much good nutrition in it. I'll have to do better.
Day 72—01/06— 149.5. I ran 5k and did some walking on the treadmill, totalling an hour. But food was less than perfect.
Day 73—01/07—149.6. I guess "you can't be upset by the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do" applies here. I've been doing okay. Food hasn't been horrible, but not great. Exercise has been decent, but not enough to offset the not great diet. I'm guessing this is about maintenance, since I've been averaging mid 149 for a while. Time to tighten up the diet (I'm sure I've said this a lot lately, but I'm serious this time, the lack of results is starting to frustrate me.)

I ordered a new snail for my aquarium and it took over a week to get here in these frigid temps. I popped it right in the tank and I am hoping it survived. Should have been here Saturday....(razzinfrazzinpostoffice...)

The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

Day 85—01/19— 147.4 - Wow, I slept until noon today!! Normally I am an early riser. There is skating today, but my knee and ankle are so sore, so I'm not sure if I will go or not. It is my greatest love, but I just might need rest today.
Day 86—01/20— 149.0 - That is from Saturday catching up with me. Yesterday was a good day.
Day 87—01/21— 149.0 - I really thought that I would see a significant drop this morning. Maybe tomorrow.
I got a message that my custom windows and doors have arrived in town, they will be dropped off tomorrow and installation will begin sometime next week. Day off today, going to putter and move everything so that they have access. I could never begin this project on a work day, working 2 jobs, so this is perfect. I knew that I needed new windows when I bought the house in 2004. I also needed all new: Electrical, Plumbing, second bathroom, front porch repair and duradek, raised garden beds built etc. etc. The windows are $12,000, but I got a grant from Clean BC for $9,500, so it is finally going to happen. So excited!
Day 88—01/22— 149.0 - Minus 18c
Day 89—01/23— 149.0 - Holding pattern. I have had salad every night this week, hoping that it will all come out soon, so to speak. If my body has not just used it all as nutrition.
Day 90—01/24— 148.6 - Nice to see a little bit of a drop. Another sunny full blue sky here again this morning, slightly warmer, minus 13c. My knee and ankle are so bad these days, but I have to push through, and I will. Going back to Glucosamine starting today.
Day 91—01/25— 147.0 - I just don't get why the scale is less and why it went up so high this week. Really strange that when I add salad I really gain. I use Skinnygirl dressing which is only 10 calories per tbsp. I always gain weight when eating salad, but was really craving it before the sun came out a few days ago. I live in the sunniest spot in BC, so grey days are unusual and kind of wreak havok on the spirit and possibly the body.

Late to the game but I need to try this again. I’ve gained a bit since I quit the last 100-day challenge (#18 I think), my knees hurt, I’m on meds for high cholesterol, I’m behind on paperwork, and my home is as cluttered and disorganized as it’s ever been. I know it’s all connected. I need to start making changes and taking accountability again. Consistency is not my strong suit but I refuse to quit. 😇Day 64 12/29 – 150.3 I’m sure my body is still recovering from the last few weeks of unhealthy eating and only sporadic exercise. Today was the first low carb/low refined sugar day in a very long time. High sodium dinner tho. Prepped 5 days of overnight oats to help me stay on track. I also did a 50-min. Peloton work-out. Off to somewhat of a good start. But it’s only day 1 for me.
Day 65 12/30 – 148.7 (- 1.6) Tried to stay on track today. TRIED. Oh well. Tomorrow is our NYE celebration. Enough said.
Day 66 12/31 – 148.9 (+ .2) Happy New Year everyone! Not surprised by my weight this morning, and expect the same for the next few days while my body processes all the alcohol and carbs from celebrating. I’m so looking forward to a great 2025.
Day 67 01/01 – 150 (+ 1.1) Relaxing day watching some college football, visiting with family, eating leftovers, including lots of desserts.
Day 68 01/02 – 151.4 (+ 1.4) Determined to be back on track today after 4 days of complete indulgence, alcohol included. Exercise might be a challenge as my knee still hurts, but I will certainly try to get some movement in. It’s also the last day with my DD who returns to her home tomorrow. Sure going to miss her.
Day 69 01/03 – 150.3 (-1.1) Finally, a little decrease. Don’t think I’ll make my goal weight tomorrow tho, but that’s ok. We’re only 3 days into the new year. Couldn’t resist a donut from Krispy Kreme last night. My leg extension machine arrived yesterday. I hope this helps to strengthen my knees and reduce knee pain.
Day 70 01/04 – 148.1 (-2.2) I met my not so ambitious goal weight this week. Most likely just water and inflammation (not fat), but it’s still encouraging.

Day 71 01/05 – 149.5 (+ 1.4) Out with friends last night. Had a burger w/ fries and 1 vodka on the rocks which has no sugar or carbs. I thought I kept it pretty much under control. Still no exercise.
Day 72 01/06 – 149.2 (- .3) Much needed rain in Maui this morning as there was a small brush fire in my neighborhood yesterday. Hopefully, anything left smoldering is now totally put out. And I almost stayed on track foodwise yesterday, but I gave in to a salty / carb craving late last night.
Day 73 01/07 – 148 0 (- 1.2) Could have done better with what I ate yesterday. It’s always the night-time hunger that ruins it. I just had to have that pumpkin muffin after dinner. Why? I do have healthier options to choose from. Ugh! But I did manage to get an hour of exercise in so I’m happy about that.
Day 74 01/08 – 147.2 (- .8) Slowly edging away from the 150 mark. I’m guessing I’m getting rid of water retention from the overeating & junk food consumed over the Holidays. Eating was on point yesterday. Chose a healthier nighttime snack and ended it there. Did some pilates & core exercises, then a good stretch session which always makes me feel good. Wish everyday could be like yesterday.
Day 75 01/09 – 146.9 (- .3) Hmmm… not sure I trust this number. Ate well until after dinner, as usual. I mean it wasn’t that bad but I could have done without the muffin. Got an hour of workout in. Knee is hurting this morning.
Day 76 01/10 – 148.2 (+ 1.3) Crazy fluctuation. Eating was on point yesterday. No exercise though. Rested my knee. It hurt even more this morning.
Day 77 01/11 – 147.9 (- .3) Lunch and dinner were on point yesterday. Still snacked, but I’ve been eating “healthier” snacks and really trying[/I/ not to over do it. No exercise.

Day 78 01/12 – 147.9 (= 0) Kept busy all day yesterday to avoid thinking about food. Caved to potato chips last night. Hope to do better on this beautiful, sunny day!
Day 79 01/13 – 148.8 (+ .9) Went a little overboard yesterday. Back on track today… hopefully.
Day 80 01/14 – 147.6 (- 1.2) Eating was just ok. I had pasta for dinner and a mini chocolate bar which I could have done without. Got a 1-hour workout in: cardio & upper-body toning.
Day 81 01/15 – 147.6 (= 0) Eating was on point yesterday and I got a workout in (chest & back and Pilates). No change in weight. This evening I’ll be meeting a friend for cocktails. Guess I’ll forego my favorite sauvignon blanc and have vodka on the rocks instead to avoid the sugar.
Day 82 01/16 – 148.2 (+ .6) Well, I did not have the will power to turn down the smash burger & fries last night, plus no workout yesterday. So the result is this increase in weight which brings me further from this week’s goal weight. On the brightside, I enjoyed a nice pau hana (after work) meet-up with an old friend!
Day 83 01/17 – 147.5 (- .7) Stuck to the plan yesterday. And got a 60-min workout in: Cycling, upper body toning & core. Happy to be back to pre-smash burger & fries weight. 😋 Sunny this morning but we’re expecting much needed rain this evening.

Day 85 01/19 – 147.7 (+ .8) For some reason I was really hungry all day yesterday and unfortunately didn’t make the best choices. Worked out √
Day 86 01/20 – 149.3 (+ 1.6) This is what a high sodium dinner gets me. Lesson learned. Did not exercise.
Day 87 01/21 – DNW Went overboard with nighttime snacking. Ugh! No exercise.
Day 88 01/22 – 147.7 (- 1.6) Ate well yesterday. 1-hour workout: cardio & upper-body toning.
Day 89 01/23 – 147.3 (- .4) Food was on point but maybe a little too much of it. Hard to stay satiated with healthier foods sometimes. 1-hour workout: weights & core.
Day 90 01/24 – 147.3 (0) Stuck to plan with food yesterday. No exercise. So glad my knee is feeling better these days. I think I’ve figured out a plan to healing it.
Day 91 01/25 – 146.7 (- .6) Eating went fairly well. Could have been better. 45-min cardio workout. Two to three of the days this week really tripped me up. I think if I want to see progress, I have to keep those cheat days to just once a week.
