    Good Morning, Crew!

    Not a good night....was one of those panic attack nights. Kept waking up with them. Its frightening and annoying at the same time.

    I gotta get more serious. I have been sliding. I want to get under 170 before the spring....its doable.

    Oh....and my snail is ALIVE!! it was just sleeping a loooong time. 😴

    I am out in Redwood City, CA visiting my sister for ten nights. I arrived the day before yesterday.
    Tomorrow we are heading down to Santa Barbara.

    We have been busy, so I may forget to post regularly.

    Oh my. Enjoying my visit from daughter and grandson and zero logging. Surgery in 15 days and I’ll be off pace for a bit longer.

    But I’m having such fun! Grandbaby is so engaging. Horrible sleeper though!

    Not much happening today except took my doggie to the vet for yearly exam....$200 . I am fortunate he is a healthy pup.

    Got a doorbell cam....I really like it. Had to do some adjusting...it would go off every time my garden flag waved in the breeze...LOL! But it's set right now. Being on the second floor, I like knowing more of what is going on around me.

    The doggie got his check-up yesterday and his yearly shots, so he is good to go.

    Thought I overate the spaghetti last night but I guess not.

    Need to do a few things around the apartment today. Good day to put on some music and get moving...seems the new downstairs tenants both work all day. I have seen them on my new door cam, but the guy is the only one that I can make out...the girl is always covered up from head to toe. But there are no kids for the moment, which I am grateful for, so no noise. Maybe I lucked out. 😁

    Howdy, all!

    Lana, I am glad I got the camera....its great. I not a busy body in any way, but I like being more aware of my surroundings.

    It's SO windy out! I did brave it to try to get my nails done but I forgot about Lunar New Year...they were closed. Will try again tomorrow.

    I am a bit off of food today....not sure why.

    My daughter got me a bird feeder with a camera for Christmas. I tried putting it up today, but the wind was blowing the pole down so I has to bring it in. You see, the ground is frozen and I could only push the pole in the ground part way. So I will either have to try and hammer it in or wait till the ground softens up....grrrrr.


    Anyway, until tomorrow....

    Lana - enjoy your trip it is a nice one.

    Got my first gift card from the company wellness program and purchased an instapot. I have been thinking of my father's pork chop/sauerkraut with raisins, and potato dinner. Have to have a pressure cooker. Online sale made it hard to pass up.

    Most of but not all of my food choices have been stellar. I still get my goal in steps. Call it a negotiation in progress.

    Sara - I am very interested to hear about how you come to like your instapot for various things. I don't have one, but I think I'd like to have one. There are too many choices out there, and I gave up looking for one.

    Yesterday Donna and I walked a total of a little over a mile to and from where we had dinner. My poor body has gone downhill. Only a few years ago, during covid, I was walking 3 miles on a walk.
    I am inspired to try to build up more capability once I get back home.
    Thank goodness spring comes early to North Carolina, and I can get out there.

    Good Afternoon, comrades!

    Lana hey, a mile is nothing to sneeze at in this crazy weather. For the moment I am having to count on calorie deficits to move the scale. And I hope you are right about spring....but I am hoping the rain tomorrow helps loosen up the soil a little....and temps are supposed to stay above freezing for awhile.

    Sara, I wish I had a kitchen that was big enough to hold things like an Instapot. Enjoy that dinner!

    The neighbors downstairs got a large box delivered....furniture. I would try to get it inside into the entryway, but it's to big and heavy. I hope no one will bother with it.

    Wow - January is just about gone! Good.

    My sister and I will be driving north back to the Bay Area, into some rain, they say. Rain is good.

    So today is Friday, and that means a happy hour party for us at our virtual Cabana Club 🌴. Sara will be signing off on the DJ's playlists. ✅

    Good Morning!

    Slept well and that's a plus for me. After a day of rain, the sun is out today. The ground thawed a bit so I was able to get the pole for the bird feeder securely in the ground and screw the feeder back on the pole. And I want to see if the solar panel for the feeder camera keeps the camera charged....that will be great!

    No real plans for the day. The plane crash in Philly is going to dominate the news today. Can you imagine ...a child leaving Shriners Hospital to go home with their mother only to die in the plane that's flying you home? The whole thing is horrible. 😞
