I had a slow year, Started Zumba in January'24, injured my back which took until June to get properly diagnosed. I needed a walking stick to get anywhere and assistance to stand up.
Turned out I have degenerative disc disease, 2 other slipped discs, and osteoarthritis arthritis in my spine, hips, and knees,(and neck & shoulders but I knew that previously 😆)
Physio has helped as I'd lost a lot of strength in my leg and glutes muscles, and can now manage between 2-5km a day all be it with a stick still, but without daily painkillers.
As for weight, I'm only down 7½kg on the year but it was enough to get out of the "obese" category, now according to my GP I'm "overweight". 🎉
My target for this year is to lose the final 28kg, I'm hoping now my mobility is improving,I'll be able to achieve it.
Good luck to everyone for this year. 💞

Over the past year, I successfully gained 10 kg through consistent effort and lifestyle changes. By focusing on a balanced diet, increasing my calorie intake, and maintaining a regular exercise routine, I achieved steady weight gain. Whether it was adding more protein-rich foods, strength training, or improving my overall nutrition, this journey has helped me feel healthier and stronger.

Was trying to lose weight in 2024 and gained 7pounds.
In September, left my 30-year career.
Starting 2025 with a much more relaxed mindset with a plan to lose my 30 pound Covid+menopause weight gain.
