Hi everyone! After a pretty busy week/weekend I'm hoping to get focused on the challenge this coming week! I did make it to my goal this week and I finally got a pedometer that appears to be working so far. Hope you all have a good night!

Sorry to hear you're suffering Tammie - sciatica is no fun at all. What exercise have you been doing? I picked up a tip on another forum - if you're using the treadmill a lot (like I do) then putting it on a slight incline is less likely to aggravate sciatica. I was sceptical but tried it and mine has been nowhere near as bad since then.
PS I had an early hysterectomy too (39) - I put soooooooo much weight on while I was recovering!
Hi Lazyspice
I have been doing a lot of aerobic exercise involving a lot of squats and leg work. It is the biggest loser new year new you. I have changed to an easier dvd. I have been out running with my firend but have gone back to walking. I have been told it is a bad running posture. Not sure how I change that though.
How long did it take to start shifting your weight?
I am still motivated and determined to do some if not all of my goal. I have managed 3.5 miles today so a bit short.

If you walked over you may carry that over to the following week if you choose too. If you would like to just keep walking then by all means please do so.0 -
Hello! Well, I did the 17 miles last week, and my weight was 165.8 this morning. Down 1.8 over this past week.0

5 miles down plus 20 minutes of strength training and still going. Let's see what the pedometer will say when I retire for the day.0

Alright everyone, I'm still missing a few peoples info so if you gave me your miles but not your weight it's not filled in. If you didn't give me anything I put 0's in for all and you will have to do the extra stuff for the week. Plus, any miles you walked for this week will not be counted until next week.
Here is the spreadsheet to help keep things in order.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnB2COOc00SCdE1oUjBRR2ZyVndxcUJ6MW5JT09wZWc&hl=en_US
For this week, those you did not meet the challenge you must pick one of the two options...
1.) If you have 15 or less miles left to complete from the first week then add that onto your current week and walk to total amount. Ex. Total miles 25 only walked 19 add 6 miles onto the current week making it 31 miles for this week.
2.) Drink at least 64oz of water, do your walking, and stay within your daily calories. You must log it and make your diary viewable because I will be checking.
Please let me know which option you will be picking.
Great job on the first week everyone. I am so proud of all of you for getting out there and moving. Some of you may not have made your goal but at least you tried and that is all that matters. I know a lot of us are in other challenges so once again GREAT JOB!!
I wish all of you success for the week and I'm so glad all of you joined the challenge.0 -
