New food plan is going well, dropped another pound. I do love the honeymoon period of weight loss where you see quick results, but I know it will slow. Since March 20th, I'm down 10 pounds.

Just another slow Friday at work. No evening plans except housework. Going to log for Fri - Sun, because I'm bad about setting goals on weekends.

    JFT

The sun will be out today , in spite of the snow still on the ground and cold temps this morning but my mood is a little prickly today.

Since my scale gave me that new low number, all I have done is go up since. Currently I am up 3.2 lbs in 4 days.. Granted yesterday I indulged in a few extra snacks resulting in a calories excess of 382 but that was the first time I did that all week. I thought earlier in the week it was water retention from workouts but yesterday I took a water pill just to see what would happen, and today the scale is up again. So I have no idea.

I more than met my protein goal yesterday but didn't quite hit my 10K steps, only hit 8300 steps.

I am so worried that being off GLP's will just keep making my weight trend up in spite of what I do food and exercise wise because my body and system are stupid..

    JFT

Today I will drink lemon water like its going out of style and remember to do a fiber supplement to help with any hungries in the afternoon

Go for a walk in the sunshine

    Focus on protein

    No belvita cookies

    full body strength day

Try not to "punish" myself with an exhausting workout to try to turn this weight gain around because that is my go -to.

Good morning! The sun is out and we have blue skies this morning, so that was nice to wake up to. We’ve got snow coming tomorrow night I think, so I’ll just be present in the day and enjoy it while we have it. ☀️☕️🌷 Weather dude said 51° for a high, so I think I might take my dog for a walk later. 😎

Not a great day for hitting goals yesterday, but I’ll try to level up today. Building healthy habits takes repetition and baby steps, and today is a new day!

I might ask my husband if he wants to take a ride to Lake Michigan to see if there are any trout or salmon spawning at the fish hatchery. It would be nice for both of us to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Plus, we both enjoy fishing, so if the Coho are still running, we can maybe go back next week when there are fewer people. If he doesn’t feel up to a drive, I will probably spend time sewing or reading. I don’t know that I’m actually up to the drive either…

Well that was a lot of jibber jabber about nothing, wasn’t it? 😂

    Have a nice day, friends.

Thankfully hubby tackled each issue as it came, learned from YouTube videos & made all. the. fixes. Viola! Nearly done / declutter more in family room / read / digital declutter / other? refilled heated birdbath, emptied household paper containers into bin for collection 😁 ta-da!

JFT 4/6 Sunday ~ Nice day with sun sunning!

Shortly, hubby and I are picking up his youngest sister and driving out of town to meet her "friend" that we just learned about yesterday. She and he have both been widowed, and have known each other for years. She was reluctant to tell us because she worried we'd think it was too soon. John died over 4 years ago, so no, I don't think it's too soon. But maybe that's just me. Anyway, we're having a late lunch where we're meeting, and I have no idea about the food/menu. I'll do my best to eat reasonably.

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. 😎

Yesterday, I spent quite a bit of time downstairs in my sewing room. It felt good to be down there with the fireplace and Netflix on. It's just an electric fireplace but it still adds to the ambience. Today the sun is shining and hubby and dog are out back raking up some leaves. So nice to do something outdoors! I'm going to take a little walk around our neighborhood quick while the sun is still out, since I don't trust it to stay out long these days, and then I think I'll go downstairs and work on my quilt a little bit again.

I gained 0.4 lbs this week, so that's the 3rd week in a row I've gained. Time to get honest about how much I'm grabbing food out of boredom and what kinds of food I'm mindlessly eating. I was going in the right direction so this was disheartening to see on the scale this morning.

@cschmitz110515 I hope you have a nice lunch with your SIL and her friend. I don't think 4 years is too soon either.

I'm not going to update how I did on yesterday's goals because I honestly didn't do most of them. I ended up sewing instead, and I'm okay with that!

Most of it ended up being exactly what I needed for my spiritual walk with God, but the rest of it, I broke my resolve and got back into bad habits of my addiction to my computer, social media, and YouTube. I have a stick note on my laptop at home to NOT turn it on tonight.

Despite the "X" the weekend wasn't bad. I did a lot of house work on Saturday. This will sound odd, but I just wasn't emotional ready for my hair appointment. My hair dresser and I have been friends since before she did my hair and we talk about lots of things. She can tell when I'm out of sorts, and I wasn't up for the conversation, so I canceled. Told her I had a cold. It was actually nice having the day to clean up around the house. That evening I opted to stay in and watch (fall asleep/nap) during the Final Four games.

Sunday was a fun day, we had lunch with friends then played bingo. It was rainy and cold so the activity was welcomed.

Only thing I really didn't get to was going to mom's. I really need to go today. I just didn't want to deal with the back handed "complements" and guilt. She really is quite draining.

I teach spin tonight and tomorrow night. I like my spin folks and I'm trying to get myself back into at least moderate condition so I can do a couple of the club rides this year.

NCAA Championship is this evening, but I think I may watch it at home and work on cleaning my daughter's room. It is a royal mess. Clothes are at least 2 layers thick on the floor as is all of her crafting supplies. Hubby and I have ignored it, and it really is an overwhelming amount of work. Hoping to surprise V by having her come home to a peaceful place. We won't throw anything out, we will wash things and put them in tubs in the garage. If she doesn't need it, we will donate it. In the past I have cleaned it or helped her clean it and it has been much appreciated. I look forward to doing this for her even though it's a tad scary. We have until Easter weekend…

Coming off of a very very busy , physically active weekend where I averaged about 15K steps per day , plus my workout on Saturday. My whole body hurts right now! I started on window cleaning but didn't get too far because the window tracks were FILTHY and took alot to get clean. I have 12 windows with only 3 done to completion. If I could find someone to do this I would pay them but no window cleaners here will do the tracks.

The scale is still not my friend and I am up again. Its frustrating

Yeterday we did some outside work in the yard and took a ride to a couple of the wildlife refuges in the area. Was a nice day. I think it was in the 50's? Today we have the last basketball game of the season for one of our grandsons. He is in middle school and they have a short season, so because we were sick for over a month, we missed his whole season except this game tonight. I feel bad about that, but soccer is coming up and we will hopefully be able to attend those games.

@more_freggies76 I hope you had a nice trip!

Recap 4/6 Sunday ~ Nice day with sun shining!

    • Church 9:00 😁
    • Eat sensibly at restaurant & log best guess ~ tenderloin steak sandwich, french fries & 1 light beer / eat light for supper ~ Cheerios with banana & milk / limit snacks & sweets ~ skyr, 4 Hershey minis, mixed nuts bc I felt the need for more protein / 80 oz. water ~ only 60 / log all food ~ tried / net calories zero ~ about -129 😐️
    • Gentle OT exercises (6x), tape 30 min. (3x) ~ 4x yay, putty (2x), massage scar 😀 / walk dog ~ 3.39 mi happy dog 🐕️ & happy me 😀
    • Call Mom ❤️ wished her & Dad early happy anniversary, they're celebrating 69 years today & I'm glad sister is visiting (she spent 7 weeks in FL as a snowbird & missed lots of visits) / read / digital declutter / declutter papers in family room (so much better already) / other? 🙂 ta-da!

JFT 4/7 M ~ Winter is back. Had a dusting of snow very early this morning, temps won't go much above freezing, and wind is wicked strong. With wind chills in teens, no dog walk today.

    • Bread out of freezer for sandwiches / make beefy macaroni for supper / limit snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
    • Gentle OT exercises (6x), tape 30 min. (3x), putty (2x), massage scar / PT exercises / min. 5000 steps
    • Choir rehearsal 6:30
    • Wash dishes / one spring cleaning task / read / digital declutter / declutter more of family room papers / other?

Hubby and I had a nice time meeting SIL's friend yesterday (she won't call it dating, but "seeing him"… I fail to see the difference LOL). We live 90 miles apart but turns out, I know his brother. From my early career days auditing for a bank holding company that owned numerous banks in the region… he was a mortgage lender & I definitely remember him. Small world. I did my best choosing from the menu & had 1 adult beverage, not a ton of great choices (I'm not a fan of BBQ & brisket), but that wasn't why we were there.

WOTY 2025:  Judicious ~ I just like the way the word sounds, and the meaning is right for me: having or showing reason and good judgement in making decisions. I can apply this word in so many ways!

Yesterday was pretty good. Didn't get to V's laundry, because Tim was doing our laundry. Still got some done. Actually rode semi-hard during spin class. I say semi- because, I'm not fit enough to ride hard and teach. Still better than I've been doing. It felt good to get some sweat equity in. Dinner was Chinese take out. I ate a moderate portion, and logged it. I tried to stay up and watch the BB game, but I fell asleep at half time. I slept like a log. Still didn't want to get out of bed, but I did feel more rested than usual.

As you can see, my weight was up today, but I feel that has a lot to do with the high sodium. History supports this, but it's hard to see. Mind likes to play tricks and can make you feel defeated if you don't look at all the factors. Truth is I'm consistent this week despite the highs and lows.

Work, meetings and such today. I'm teaching spin again this evening. I'm not used to back to back classes these days. Funny, on Saturday's I used to ride my bike to the Y (12miles), teach class, go for a run or lift then ride home. Crazy to think of these days.

Yesterday was nice. Got to go to grandson's last basketball game, and was surprised to see his 18yo brother came to watch it too. Two grands in one shot…very happy grandma here. I ate too much for dinner…I am struggling to stop eating when I've had enough lately and I know it's because I'm just telling myself "but it tastes soooooo good" or "I don't know when we will have this again…" All just excuses to overeat. If I want to lose weight, I need to stop overeating. Pretty simple but so hard at the same time.

Today is a new day, so here we go again! This afternoon, I go to my mom's for a quilting video that livestreams on YouTube on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other than that, nothing exciting planned.

    Have a good one, everyone!

@clicketykeys Good to see you! :)
