    Trying to get back at it. Really abandoned my goals the last 6 weeks, but it helped me a lot to track here in Jan when I started.

    So yesterday tracked calories:

    Goal- 1600 Actual 1624.

    It was kind of an estimate bc I had sushi for lunch and not sure what the cals were, and had some leftovers for dinner that were hard to weigh after the fact- like a casserole type thing.

    April Weighins

    April 16- 161.2

    April 22- 161 (I think lol I wasn't really awake yet).

    April goals:

    ** Weigh in weekly on Wednesdays.
    **Track calories every day.
    **Stick to my calorie goals (1600, plus 100 on days I go in to the office- more movement/longer day).
    **If I go over, try not to go over by more than 300. So that I don't just give up and splurge higher and higher.

Of course, we made sure that all the grandkiddos got their gifts from the Easter Bunny. Dinner was simple but, as you might expect, salty. I plan on drinking lots of water today. Weight is down today on the scale. I’m very pleased as I was extra thoughtful of my partaking yesterday and it looks like it paid off. However, we all know it sometimes shows up a day or two later so I’ll be keeping a watchful eye. Tomorrow is family dr appointments for son and I. We will go out to lunch afterward as is his habit. They will be checking our glucose numbers. It won’t be pretty. I expect a scolding.

    Hi All,

    I'm very happy to be joining you all again for April.

    I'm 5'2", working on getting to my goal weight and then staying there. I will tell you all that this month will be different for me. My goal for the month is not really to end up with a loss, but to LOG. In our world, Greek Orthodox Easter (Pascha) is the center of the universe, and there is a lot of feasting. There's a lot of fasting before Pascha, and a lot of feasting afterwards. So when we get to the days and weeks after April 20, I will be continually surrounded by copious amounts of amazing food, and that's great. But I have decided that this year I will continue logging no matter what events are going on in life (until I've been at goal for a little while anyway). My plan is to set my logging to maintenance for the end of April and to just eat at maintenance; even a little over that is OK sometimes, as long as I keep the logging habit.

    @ozdeelite I love your record-keeping. Keeping records of all that data pays off in the long run. "depressed ate box of chocolates"β€” I can relate to that!!!

    ETA: Just read your comment about stopping the medication. I have a doctor friend who says that he really feels that the weight loss injections can be bad for people's health in the long run. Just my personal unimportant opinion is, maybe your stopping it will be for the best in the long run. This will be an adjustment phase… Give yourself some grace while your body adjusts and adapts to the change.

    @ozdeelite , I tend to agree with @andreajlnhe I work in healthcare and have had friends on weight loss meds who have regretted it because of the other issues/side effects. Losing weight isn’t easy. If it were, platforms like this wouldn’t be around. But we are here for you! It may be a blessing in disguise.

    still up this month at 105.9kg . My bloating is a worry. I literally gained 3kg in 2 weeks. I don’t think that’s normal. The bloating certainly isn’t. Will be seeing doctor and requesting a heap of scans - I’m sure I’m retaining urine again. I’m bored depressed and craving chocolate- will be working at nursing home again in a couple of weeks so just have to plod through until then. Finally something to do!

    Tracked yesterday, was slightly over. I really wanted to binge ice cream, but I managed to limit it. Wednesday is my weekly weigh in and I was down a lb this week so that's nice!

    April 22: logged and was a little over in calories, but hit my mark for all other macronutrients! 12 hour day at work so I was honestly tired and didn’t get many steps/activity in. Today’s a new day and will be better. It’s been pretty rainy in my area so walking outside hasn’t been happening, but I’m loving all the Spring flowers in bloom!! 🌷🌷

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/23-194.2 πŸ’  - (Trend Weight: 196.1) After lunch out yesterday and a bit too many healthy snacks last night, I’ll take it! I’m quite sure TMI helped as well as the raking and burning I did for several hours yesterday. Possible rain today. I have a lot of projects inside too so I’ll be watching the skies to see if I’ll be working inside or outside. Dr. appointment was disappointing. My blood sugar A1C went back up to 8 point something from 7.0 as tested on Dec. 18th. That is putting me back into some very bad numbers where lots of other health issues start coming along. I can’t afford the GLP-1 meds for diabetes he is recommending so if I don’t turn this around, I could end up on insulin. I’ve fought hard against it. I’ve got to get my *kitten* together and get this done!

I’m quite sure TMI helped as well as the raking and burning I did for several hours yesterday. Possible rain today. I have a lot of projects inside too so I’ll be watching the skies to see if I’ll be working inside or outside. Dr. appointment was disappointing. My blood sugar A1C went back up to 8 point something from 7.0 as tested on Dec. 18th. That is putting me back into some very bad numbers where lots of other health issues start coming along. I can’t afford the GLP-1 meds for diabetes he is recommending so if I don’t turn this around, I could end up on insulin. I’ve fought hard against it. I’ve got to get my *kitten* together and get this done!

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/24 – 195.2 ❌ (Trend Weight – 196.0) It’s finally all coming back to haunt me. I’ve been eating a LOT of restaurant food due to how busy I’ve been. At night, I’ve started to just grab my nut snack (type varies) out of the container without measuring or counting them out so I know the quantities have been too high. I haven’t done that in years, honestly. I don’t want to start developing any bad habits! I got about 6 more hours of burning in yesterday but no more raking. Although not even half done with the raking, my piles are already too high so I’ll continue to focus on the burning for now. However, at some point the raking and branch removals will have to start back up or I’ll never be able to have it mowed! I hope you will all enjoy your day.

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/25-194.2βœ… - (Trend Weight: 195.8) I usually don’t weigh on Fridays due to a special medication I take on Fridays only. Also, I have a weird sleep schedule as this is the day I wake up extra early to get my DGS off to school (first grade). I then often lay back down, which makes me get up extra late (usually around 10:30). So I don’t always feel that either weight will be comparable or accurate. Today I was 194.2 at 6:15 a.m. and I was 193.0 at 10:45 a.m. I’ll go for the higher weight as I was likely pretty dehydrated at the later hour. I must say though, having registered at 193, even for a possible unlikely minute made me feel pretty hopeful!

    this month has been bad. I’ve gained a massive 3kg - 6.6lb in a 2 week period. I think there’s something wrong with my urine retention again because I’m severely bloated. 🀰 At least I’ve started exercising again. Not a lot but it’s a start.

    ** Weigh in weekly on Wednesdays.
    **Track calories every day.
    **Stick to my calorie goals (1600, plus 100 on days I go in to the office- more movement/longer day).
    **If I go over, try not to go over by more than 300. So that I don't just give up and splurge higher and higher.

Also, I have a weird sleep schedule as this is the day I wake up extra early to get my DGS off to school (first grade). I then often lay back down, which makes me get up extra late (usually around 10:30). So I don’t always feel that either weight will be comparable or accurate. Today I was 194.2 at 6:15 a.m. and I was 193.0 at 10:45 a.m. I’ll go for the higher weight as I was likely pretty dehydrated at the later hour. I must say though, having registered at 193, even for a possible unlikely minute made me feel pretty hopeful!

    Yesterday-

    Goal- 1600 Actual 1500.

    A little annoyed my weight inched up this morning. I'm sure just normal fluctuations but it always irritates me. I have nothing for lunch so I'm tempted to get takeout, but that would be more calories, so I will try to dig around the freezer and see if there is something!

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/27-192.6 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 195.2) Just a 0.2 gain but I’m shocked. I ate a very light lunch yesterday (perhaps too light?), then went off the rails during dinner and snacks. I don’t know how my number isn’t higher today. It may show up in the coming couple of days. Was this self-sabotage? Probably a bit of that too but I think I should have had a more substantial lunch with more protein. I was just HUNGRY! I’m happy, however, to see my trend weight continuing to go down.
