I'm not a newbie to the site, but hadn't been able to log in for a long time. Never did figure out why, but I saw an email in my inbox today and thought I'd give it another try. Next thing you know I'm logged in with lots of anniversary badges and an Ancient Member badge. I'm definitely feeling older since the last time I was here, lol!
Glad to know I can try the site again. I've been taking a fitness class locally for the last few years, and keep finding new ways to nourish myself. So far, so good.3 -

Hi, I’m not new to MFP just coming back after years. I appreciate the calorie counter here so much and I’m set on doing maintenance but also adding some walking to get healthier. Best of luck and good wishes to all newcomers and returnees.

I'm back again after many years. Trying to find my way around in this 'different / updated' environment.
Friends lists seem to be a thing of the past from what I'm reading???

I actually registered here half a year ago, but I didn't really use it at that time, so I didn't come here much later. Now I hope to have more exchanges and share fitness experiences and secrets with each other!

Hello 👋 my name is Viri, I'm kind familiar with this app from a previous use but it's been at least 5 years from that .. it's changed a bit . Also since then I've entered a different phase of life that makes losing sooo difficult 😔. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and I can't afford going up anymore and I can't afford a new wardrobe ! So here I am ready to start fresh and have accountability . Calorie deficit, int fasting, and strength training and Mediterranean style eating is my plan. By my birthday in Oct I would like to be half way to my body goals!

Hello! 👋🏼 I am Migz. I created this account years ago but didn't start using it consistently until recently. I lost 160 lbs. and only did so thanks to the help of others in forums like this. While there are many great weight loss programs out there, it's very hard to stick to them without a community.
I'm a trail runner and sometimes even lift weights (though not enough). I live in Arizona.
I do F4F (I don't know anyone here yet).
Good luck!

Hello MFP peeps,
I have been on and off this app for several years. I only used the app to look at my food and try to make healthier choices, but now I am really diving in and recording what I need, planning my nutrition and my exercise etc. and really hoping to make a difference in my entire lifestyle. I was officially diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome last year and this explains so many of my lifelong struggles with health and diet. I have had to make physical therapy a routine part of my life and have had so many flair-up days which has caused me weight to skyrocket. I am hoping these steps are taking me to a healthier, lighter, stronger life and I feel this is what I am seeing in my future. Thanks for a place to do this MFP!

New here, (again). I originally lost 100lbs over 2022/2023. Started working out after the weight loss to get some muscle mass. Obviously with weight training you need to eat, weeeelllll the eating got a bit out of control!! So here I am, back again and see there is a community. Lets chat

Hi, everyone! I'm 44 and from North Carolina, and like many of you, I'm returning to MFP after some time away. I had success with it years ago, and now I'm back—not just to keep an eye on what I'm eating, but more importantly, to find some much-needed community and support. I’ve been trying to get back on track these past few weeks, making positive changes, but honestly? It’s been hard not seeing the results I hoped for. It's been messing with my head a bit—feeling discouraged, obsessing, and lacking anyone in real life to really talk it through with. So here I am. Showing up, even when it’s tough. I know I’m not alone in this, and I’m really hoping to connect with others who get it—people who know the ups, the downs, and everything in between.

Hello everyone! I just started with this app. I eat mostly keto-core which I feel I’m doing ok with that. But exercise is a problem for me. I have a severe back injury. And I’m having surgery to correct it in August. But in the meantime I would like to start doing something. I cannot stand more than a few minutes so walking is out of the equation. I need to find things I can do seated. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi, so Jonathan here, UK Yorkshire based, 35 years old.
I used to be very fit, but then since becoming a dad 10 years ago I got lazy I guess with fitness and food, now I am horribly obese, and am sick of it, need to get back to what I was before, be nice to make some new friends along the way who will also help to hold me accountable and keep me going strong

Apparently I've been a member here since 2011 but just restarted yesterday. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 5 years ago but never took it seriously because my A1C was always just above and below the determining line. Fast forward to April of this year and my A1 was the highest it had ever been. It hit me in the face that I need to take this all seriously. Since April 23, I've started making changes (no more daily lattes, no soda, more fiber, more protein) and I am seeing some results. I came back to MFP because now I want to start tracking my daily food intake. Sometimes we "think" we're doing great but those calories have a way of sneaking up on you. I'm here to make sure I stay accountable.

Hi, Just joined the premium version of MFP and learning my way around the site. I'm O50 and a retired first responder. I got fluffy due to a heart condition and am now trying a few new programs to stay focused on improving my quality of life …which will also improve my heart condition.
Weight loss with light exercise is my key focus right now. Friend requests from others who want to do the same thing (heart issues especially, because it's a different mindset with light exercise components)…you are welcome to send me a friend request if you would like to motivate or be motivated to stay on track. I am officially kicking off a slow walking routine, on Monday, June 23, 2025.🏃♀️🏃♂️1 -
And so we begin…..hello world

Hi everyone!! Im not new to MFP but like many Ive mostly used it as a tracking tool without diving into the community side. Im starting to think thats a mistake! Ive been on a weight loss roller coaster for what feels like forever probably the last 5 years (if im honest) and clearly my approach hasnt been quite right since Ive ended up gaining about 20 pounds and developed some pretty frustrating habits around emotional eating. During those years Ive also managed to build a successful career in marketing, travel to some incredible places and become a pretty decent cook (ironically speaking lol). Now as Im approaching my late 30s Im really starting to think about what the next chapter looks like and frankly, I want it to be a healthier one.

Helloooo there probably won't be a lot of people that read this as there's THOUSANDS of comments 🤣. But My name is Ryan, I'm 20 years old and I've been transforming myself for the last 4.5 years from skinny to muscular :)
I started at 51kg and have managed to grow to 78kg at the peak of my bulk. However right now I am sitting at 69kg after loosing 9kg on my cut so far!
I have actually been using MyFitnessPal for a couple of years now and it has been an absolute game changer! Tracking calories is SO important, and it makes the process very easy and minimal.
Hoping to connect with lots of people in here!

I am new again. Been absent for several years. During that time I ballooned up to 270 pounds. I am 5’5”. I lost 70 on ozempic but ended up in the hospital for 12 days where I have serious kidney failure. Doctors put me back on it but now I am no longer pre-diabetic so insurance won’t cover the cost. Also I gained 20 pounds back while off ozempic. So it is now bAck to counting calories. I still have 100 pounds to lose so maybe a year from now I will be at my goal weight.
I am a cat girl who loves golden retrievers as well. We currently have 3 of each. I am also the proud parent of a 22 year old young man who doesn’t drink, smoke, or do drugs. I am very lucky my small family has many of the same interests. We all Love Disney. Specifically Disneyland and Disney cruises. We all love Dr Who.
now a little more about me. I have health issues. Specifically I have blackouts and in trying to find the cause of these they are checking my heart and my brain. We discovered that I have a hole in my heart and my right ventricle is enlarged. Should hear more from cardiologist Wednesday or Thursday. I have a 3 day brain test later this month. So with these health issues I am not supposed to over exert myself. So I work and golf. Using a cart of course!
now, finally I am done with my book! Hope you enjoy reading as I did your introductions.2
