Awesome run @Laurz9191, sounds like you smashed it.

No run today, Pilates instead but boy, that was a dumb idea on my exhausted legs! I survived but only just.

I then we home and scarified my lawn - it took about 2.5 hours and boy was I sweating - the machine was very heavy and my lawn is massive. Also planted five trees in the time it took for my husband to go and swap the scarifier out after the first one broke - happens every time I hire gear.

Tomorrow I’ll rake up all the dead thatch the machine spat out, then mow, fill a few holes (thanks rabbits), fertilise, and over sow, and then my lawn should be on its way to croquet perfection for next summer (all fingers and toes tightly crossed).

I’m supposed to run tomorrow but I’ll see how I feel. I’m only due to do 5k so that should be doable…

December 14, 2025 in College Station, TX. (Between Austin and Houston)

Registration hasn't opened yet: https://www.bcsmarathon.com/ the web page says they open in Mid-May.

I think getting a rock solid commitment from our Texas cohort is precursor to me getting worked up and planning the race. @Scott6255 @martaindale @kgirlhart @SummerSkier Ya'll going to lead the charge on this? Other Texans I've missed?

Last year they had 4-person and 8-person marathon relay teams. Our injured runners could do 3.2 miles as part of relay.

Thanks @quilteryoyo, think I missed the history here?, but I'm flexible, I can call it "late lunch with lots of wine" if that works better (& @tarun_yadavA)😁

It looks beautiful (from a distance) though & great weekend runs @WarmJellyfish.

    Welcome @clementine003!

    Thanks @Teresa502.

    May:

    01/05 - 0km / 0 miles
    02/05 - 11.31km / 7.03 miles
    03/05 - 0km
    04/05 - 11.67km / 7.25 miles
    05/05 - 0km - Stationary bike day (~23km)

    Total = 22.98km / 14.28 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

Had planned a 5K run today, but the just blah weather, with raw wind gusts, convinced me it was a good day to knock off some km's on my biking goal (that I'm still way behind on).

    Morning all

    Got in a 10K. 6.24M at 08'54.

@chris_in_cal you tried! Getting out there half the battle. Give yourself a day and try again 💪🏽

@John772016 oh it's an old thing now. I hate brunch. I have moaned about it endlessly in the past. Hence @quilteryoyo brining it up 😁

My null hypothesis is that it's just a Denny's breakfast with a few avocado slices at double the price. And it's only women that seem to love going for brunch.

Give yourself time @chris_in_cal . Rest and recovery is important.

It is stormy right now, so I am going to have to wait and hopefully I will be able to get out and run in an hour or two.

Lol, well it was my sister's idea & she ordered the food @tarun_yadavA, but no breakfast food - mushroom pizza, mushroom pasta, kale salad & lots of red wine.

    02/05 - 11.31km / 7.03 miles
    03/05 - 0km

    05/05 - 0km
    06/05 - 6.47km / 4.02 miles Treadmill

    Total = 29.45km / 18.30 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

Was hoping the sun would show up this morning, but no luck until after I finished my run, so kept it inside. At least the rain is supposed to be done for the next few days.

You'll be back to it soon @chris_in_cal!

Well I managed a 7 mile run this morning before the really crazy deluges hit and actually felt pretty decent. My RHR is finally starting to come down again after the stupid head cold hit me last Thursday. The worst has been the sinus headaches but this virus has totally remained in my head and like Eleanor H mentioned to me on Strava as long as it stayed about my lungs it seems like running has been helping to clear my sinus faster.

    01.05 strength
    03.05 walking, strolling 19km
    04.05 walking, strolling 13km
    06.05 1.7km 12min 7:08/km - benchmark run & strength

    1.68/81km - 14km behind

Finally checking in. Was in southern France and Monaco for a few days, walked a lot but didn't run. So I returned last night and today I did a strength session, and did a benchmark run for a new Garmin coach programme. Am quite a bit behind but hope I'll be able to catch up a bit again.
