Hour commitment - I won't eat again until tomorrow.

Starting over weight: March 205.5
- May Goal:185
- May 5: 195.2 - Wow! Jumped 4 pounds in a day. I felt bloated, but man. I know it's not real, but it is discouraging.
Didn't post goals over the weekend. Saturday was good, got a lot of walking in at the regatta. Wore the pup out so he slept on the way home and went to bed early. A friend is in from Iowa, so we've gone out with him the past 2 nights. Fun catching up, but bad for the waist line. I was actually up 4 pounds today from yesterday. Had so gastro issues yesterday and feel bloated today, but was shocked to see that number. I know I did not eat an extra 12000 calories yesterday, so I won't let it derail me.
Not much planned today. It's Bill's last day in town. We may or may not see him. He gets really bored sitting at his parents and I understand so I don't mind changing my schedule a bit. I may try to hit spin class this evening depending on how I feel.

Recap Sunday ~ Temp is cool but sun is shining & mild breeze 😎 Beautiful day to walk around a car show and I remembered my sunglasses. Living in the north, never dawned on me to wear sun screen, and my face was a bit pink by evening, but I'm dark haired and it will fade soon. Good thing hubby wore ball cap, he's very fair.
- Church 9:00 😁
- Lunch? (forgot to stop at bread shop yesterday) ~ at car show, usual festival fare of brat & potato chips, followed by sharing deep fried cheese curds (so good!) with hubby & I logged best guess / make hubby's favorite chicken dish for supper ~ yum! / 80 oz. water 😁 / limit sweets & snacks ~ some more Easter chocolate, but not too much (there's not much left LOL) / log all food / net calories zero 😛 -114
- OT exercises 🙂 /
walk dogtoo tired after car show, but had >8,200 steps on Fitbit at end of day so happy me 😁 - Car show at nearby tech school with hubby? Yes. We qualify for senior pricing (free) 🤣 but since cost is only $5 each & goes towards students, I'm ok paying. Maybe eat lunch there, not sure what's available. ~ As we approached the entrance, students waved us beyond the cash box & wrist band guy put ours on without even asking. I told hubby we look old and we joked with guy that he should make us feel better & ask to see ID. All in fun. 😁 At least we purchased food there, as it's put on by auto club students for their benefit.
- Repeat: anything accomplished is a bonus ~ maybe?
JFT M 5/5 ~ Temps to low 60s, chance of isolated shower.
- Leftovers for supper / limit snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
- OT exercises / walk dog
- Wash dishes / fold & put away line-dried laundry / usual M garbage chores (back to regular schedule now that NFL Draft is over) / read / digital declutter / other?
WOTY 2025: Judicious ~ I just like the way the word sounds, and the meaning is right for me: having or showing reason and good judgement in making decisions. I can apply this word in so many ways!

Not been feeling great, thought it was PMS. Still think it may be a hormonal thing. I'm at an age that I may be a transitioning from one phase to another. Weight has been up and down and up. Hopefully it will level out soon.
Skipped the Y, went out for Mexican. Got home around 8:00 and just went to bed.
Not much on the agenda today.

@cschmitz110515 I actually have no idea how it would work in other countries actually!
Day 6 today but I missed yesterday.
Had awful tooth pain and today I had root canal 👍
So today I need to pop a couple of ibuprofen and do 200 skips because my numbness has worn off now lol!

lots of stress going on in the family with my dads health right now. He was hospitalized last week for bradycardia (low heart rate) which they got under control over night in the ICU. They discharged him two days later, and then we were told his tests showed he had massive blockages and needed open heart surgery , then that changed and we were told he was too much of a risk for open heart surgery so they attempted to do a procedure in the office of all things to clear out the blockages from his existing stents but it failed because there was so much plaque the doctor could not locate the stents , only to then be told he would be rescheduled for angioplasty . We were never actually shown images of these blockages so no evidence of any of it. Only the doctors words. So LST, we pumped the brakes and we are waiting for a second opinion on Friday because the whole experience with the first doctor was way too hasty in his methods and plans for procedures without providing enough information. Something felt off. To make matters worse, today my sister slipped and fell at work and ended up with a broken wrist needing surgery. She's staying with a friend tonight who is taking care of her.
Could sure use some prayers our way! its been a rough week . I think the stress must be hitting me because I am feeling super low energy. I got my workout done today but after work I did chores and came in the house and just sat and rested mostly.

@HappyDonkey75 prayers headed your way. That is a lot to deal with. Don’t forget to take care of yourself during this chaotic time.

@beachwalker99 and @Bex953172 both of you with root canals! Hope you both heal up quickly , those are no fun.
@pridesabtch - Sorry about the unplanned increase in weight. Hormones seem to play a pretty significant role in my weight loss /gains. I am on HRT and happy that alot of my symptoms are now resolved but I honestly have struggled to drop weight since starting them 3 months ago and often wonder if its what is causing the stall..The timing seems to align.

Didn't go to mom's yesterday, and forgot to log dinner (will do today) but otherwise, things got done. Weight is still up which makes my monthly goal look a little out of reach, but I'll do what I can. I plan to try and get a walk in at lunch today. Then go to mom's and trivia after work. Will definitely limit alcohol since that seems to give me the munchies. Munchies and bar food do not equate to weight loss.
A friend has me planning to go to the gym at 5:00am tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I really hate getting up in the morning, but this used to be my norm. It will take some time to get used to again.

Didn't take time yesterday to post JFT, but logged food & activity. Lots of activity. After walking dog 3.61 mi. & running errands, started spring yardwork while hubby visited his oldest sister in hospital with infection. First, I struggled with padlock on shed, so sprayed WD-40… yay, lock works. Then found dead mouse in yard bin, but I sucked it up and disposed of it. Spent the afternoon clearing gardens of leaves that I mulch with in the fall. Hauled 7 very full, heavy bins to curb for city pick-up. Hubby came home & I assisted him with trimming trees. Thankfully, he hauled all the branches to the curb.
It was a sunny, very warm day in the upper 70s and I worked up quite a sweat, so afterwards I enjoyed a beer on the picnic table (no patio furniture out of shed yet). After a refreshing shower, we gave dog a ride & picked up fast food, but I limited fries to small & drank chocolate milk instead of a shake. Limited sweets to 2 small pieces & string cheese for snack. Resulted in 1.5# weight drop, but that was an anomaly. In any case, just need to keep it off. Bonus was Public Works vehicles collecting yard waste from curb this morning. Win!
JFT W 5/7 ~ Temps back to normal, maybe reach 60 today, and a bit windy. But sun is shining!
- Leftovers for supper? / limit snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
- OT exercises / walk dog
- Scrub & refill both birdbaths / boil eggs / wash dishes / call Mom / read / digital declutter / other?

@HappyDonkey75 That's a lot to deal with. Prayers for you and your family! Btw, I've been on HRT for several years. Never thought whether it was related to my weight.
@beachwalker99 @Bex953172 Both of you with root canals on the same day! Wishing you both a speedy recovery.
@pridesabtch Alcohol always gives me the munchies! Ever since college days (when drinking age was 18). My friends and I would walk back to our campus housing after bar time and always stop at certain eateries along the way. My favorite was gyros (legit… you watched them carve the meat off the rotisserie) & steak fries at a place called Billy's. It was a tiny place that would be packed once bars closed. Oh, the memories! LOL

Hey @Bex953172 I am just seeing this. I went to the link to donate, but it is a different currency and I'm not sure how to do that! I think this is a wonderful cause! 💞💝

@mytime6630 Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on the weight loss! I would like to know whose YouTube channel you are watching. It sounds very similar to the No BS Women (previously known as PNP or Phit 'n Phat) program. Eat what you want but only when hungry and stop at enough... I'm adding you and your husband to my prayer list for his upcoming surgery. Nice to see you!
@cschmitz110515 Gyros at Billy's sounds delicious. My after bar go-to used to be Zeppelin's subs...the Hindenberg. OMG...devoured it. Wish that place was still around!
@beachwalker I didn't realize you were having cardiac issues! My husband had afib but after having a procedure and tweaking his meds, he has been good for years now. I hope they are able to do the procedures soon for you and that you feel much better! Also, sorry to hear about the root canal! I am such a baby when it comes to dental work. I added you to my prayers.
@angf0679 Glad you had a nice retreat! I didn't realize you were a runner. Good for you! I can barely walk fast... lol
@HappyDonkey75 I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and sister. Definitely adding you to my prayers.

Hi friends! It's finally decent weather in Wisconsin. It's a little cool today but I have the patio door open letting in the fresh air anyway. We have so much family drama going on lately and it's really draining. I know that's not healthy, especially since I eat my emotions, and let's just say I don't exactly grab for carrots or apples… 🍕🍟
So today I am back trying again. My weight has maintained (up and down a pound or 2), but my belly is bloating again and I know it's because of the kinds of food I choose. I didn't used to worry about it as much, but since the MBC diagnosis, I feel that I need to eat healthier foods to try to keep the cancer from returning. I need to know I'm doing everything I can to be as healthy as I can for as long as I can, and leave the rest to prayer. It's really all that is in my control.
Anyway, TODAY, I am healthy and strong, and I plan to keep it that way for a very long time. 😎
