I agree. It’s grand jury duty. We hear a bunch of stuff, and only decide whether or not to indite.

I have grand jury Monday. I’ll be presenting cases to grand jury rather than sitting on the jury.
Here grand jury is held on the 2nd Monday each month and I think the jurors pull a six month stint.
Our county is the same. One Friday a month for 6 months. First month you report twice. First day is orientation, and a few cases to get you familiar with the process. I finish my term of service in June. Been interesting /learned quite a bit.
