@daria0919 - A couple of friends and I signed up for the Richmond HM in November! I hope you will be around and we can have a meet-up.

That’s great @Teresa502!! I’m planning on doing the 8K and would enjoy a meetup with you and your friends!

Great, that is a nice area. I visited my Uncle and Aunt in Williamsburg, VA a couple of years ago and really liked all the woods and scenery.

I am cutting myself off from posting myself anymore on this thread. I am trying to cut down on my social media usage and have replaced it with this as I keep checking for new posts on here way to much.

We are going to miss you @angf0679 . I do understand about spending too much time on line. I think it happens to all of us sometimes. Wishing you well with your running goals and life in general.

You're doing great @daria0919 . How is your ankle feeling? (It is your ankle that's giving you issues, isn't it?)

Thanks for the info @WarmJellyfish . Pretty cool looking bird.

Nice run @martaindale . I hope the temps don't heat up too fast.

What a great Mother's Day surprise @martaindale . They did it up right. Nice looking family. Great run today.

@ContraryMaryMary Nice running. Your yard really is going to be the envy of your neighborhood.

    12.03 strength
    13.03 7.0km 54min 7:46/km - slow

    24.19/81km - 9.8km behind

After the total fail with the last run I tried to stay really slow this time, and it worked well enough. Not as good as in the past, but good enough. Nice, slow run at over 20C. I wonder whether I'll still manage to get to 81km this month despite being away for a night this week, and then away for another 5 days. Lets see.

I had an interesting run today. I decided to do an interval run. I set out about 8:45 and it was already 71F, so I was kind of thinking maybe I shouldn't have done speed work but decided to go for it anyway. I had just almost finished the warm-up when my phone rang. I wasn't able to catch it before it went to voicemail, but I paused to listen. It was the CFO from a job I had applied to. I debated whether I should head home and call her back when I was done, or go ahead and call now. I didn't want to wait, and I was pretty close to my sister's mother-in-law's house, so I stopped there to make the call. We talked for about 20 minutes. The job sounds really promising and I thought the call went well. She is going to be setting up peer interviews next week. I am feeling both anxious and optimistic. After the call I headed back home and did the intervals. I was feeling excited so the run was good and I ran 6 miles. It was definitely warm though, so even if I am not working soon, I am going to have to start getting out earlier to beat the heat. We've been kind of spoiled with the lovely spring weather we have been having.
