Another good run. Dakota was really sluggish on yesterday’s run and I was worried about him but he was back on form today.

@martaindale google black flies. They are near water. May=June. Nasty suckers. Wear lighter clothes but not sure anything helps. Used to see them at the barn. When I was trail riding with friends you always tried to be first as the flies tended to go to the 2nd in line. LOL.

WoW! @tarun_yadavA great running this weekend! thanks for giving us a new fun term to describe our runs.

My ankle was completely well by the end of my run. I know it's my back because I was pretty "active" playing tennis but not much to do except keep on keepin on.

@John772016 the spammer posted here and I flagged it so it's gone now but yeah wtf is that just a computer compilation of buzx words? 😏

@quilteryoyo hope you are having a good weekend! I am trying to get myself motivated to do some chores around the house. Usually if I make a "list" I will get it done.

Got in a 4 miler yesterday after a 1 mile on Friday just to streak. Still over 7 avg per day for the year but dropping pretty fast. I AM going to remember to take some tabs with me today.

@AlphaHowls you will need to add the "boyfriend run" to next months opener. I like it. Using it on Strava as well.

@Mari33a I'm glad that you got some good news on your son. Hopefully they did more tests to try to figure out what is going on. The story of your neighbor not understanding running for weight and stress relief reminds me of why we have this forum - it's a place where people do understand!

Congrats on the new job @kgirlhart ! Awesome!

@SummerSkier I'm glad running helped your ankle to feel better. It's odd, but I understand because I have a knee that will sometimes hurt when I walk, but running is fine.

Glad you were able to find a camp site for the long weekend @martaindale . I have no idea about those flies, but I would avoid them too. Great running and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

@yirara Sounds like a great vacation and glad you are feeling better. Those UTI's are horrible.

Thanks @SummerSkier . You are doing great so far this year!

@Laurz9191 Great job on the wet HM! That sounds like a tough one and a tough start for the kids too! Already had your adrenaline flowing before running the first step. Love the guy pushing you to sprint harder at the end.

I was so far behind, I just liked and hugged everyone as appropriate. You are all doing great!

    Welcome Elise @swenson19d

Check in here everyday, get a walk or bike in, and tell us all your progress, setbacks, and goals. It works, if you show up.

Getting back into exercising. A small break of two weeks is enough for my muscles to stop working. Stamina and strength are still there, but they just don't function properly. Give me a week and I'm fine again. Yesterday I somehow dropped my barbell while preparing it for squats, ended up with a massive bruise on my shinbone, a pulled muscle on my upper back and minor ouchies here and there. Still managed to do a workout of sorts. Thus also got added doms on top :D Running went very well though.

the raccoon gal? gosh that's a new one for me. But welcome @swenson19d sounds like the past 5 years have been friggin awful but you are now turning things around. I loved the couch to 5 k program for getting my activity a gently start.

@chris_in_cal it definitely doesn't count if you did not log it. 🙃🧐😎

Gor my run in before the rain today Very interesting. I did the first 3 miles listening to my audio book and my pace was definitey "boyfriend" but then I put on my jamming music. HR ramped from 120's to 140s and pace down to the 10's. Shows how much what we listen to can effect our activity. Interesting looks like they are changing the software for posting photos again. Can't wait until the do spoilers for them.

So….I gotta stop taking 'non-media' days, too many updates to read & like on this thread.
Just kidding, love the commitment of you folks!

    Nice runs @yirara, @ContraryMaryMary, @tarun_yadavA, @Mari33a, @SummerSkier, @Laurz9191, @WarmJellyfish & @chris_in_cal!

Congrats on the HM (even if a wet one) @Laurz9191 & also the kid-jockeying success!

    Cute kindergarten grads @quilteryoyo!

Beautiful pics @WarmJellyfish & congrats on the 'no lasting damage' with the 3 trips & crashed once!
My trail crashes always seem to end up in an ER visit…..

Nerve pain was pretty severe Sunday so took an unplanned rest day; as it was a bit better this morning, and the weather was an absolutely beautiful 16⁰ C, sunny with mild winds, I threw on shorts/T- & ran out the door before my brain could tell me it wasn't a good idea.
