Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.
Week 1 Start Weight: 144.4
Week 1 Goal: 142.4 (seems lofty, but I was at 143.0 for two days in a row at the end of the last 100)
Week 1 Actual Weight: 144.2- Hit 142.6 this week, the day before the end of our week, which was so close to my goal.
Week 2 Start Weight: 143.2
Week 2 Goal: 142.4 - Trying for the same goal as last week
Week 2 Actual Weight: 143.0 (Once in 100 days Ribs eaten, hit 142.2 this week)
Week 3 Start Weight: 143.6
Week 3 Goal: 141.8
Week 3 Actual Weight: 139.6 - Hit 139.0 this week
Day 22—06/05— 139.6 - Same weight 3 days in a row. Going on day 3 of no poops, so hoping for a woosh soon. This is unusual for me since I consume so many vegetables and some fruit. I normally go 2-3 times per day. Or maybe my body is just not wanting weight loss so is holding on to everything to turn it into fat lol. (TMI I know)
Day 23—06/06— 139.0 - Day 10 of 35 days without a day off. I was scheduled for a split shift at the Indian restaurant today. I asked (begged) to work 11-6 instead of 11-3 and 5-8, and got it. If we don't ask we don't get right? 6pm NHL Stanley Cup final game 2, Edmonton/Florida. A rematch of last year, where Florida won the whole thing in 7 games. Yes, we have TVs at Spice Hut (unlike my job at the other restaurant), but I like to pause, rewind, and watch in pjs or the like. Fake beer (40 calories per can) is chilling in the fridge : - )
Day 24—06/07— 139.6 - Holding on to the 130s by my fingernais! Changed it up a bit last night, I had Konjac angel hair "pasta" with a bit of chicken, 1/4 cup shredded parmesan, 2 tbsp sour cream, with some of my own raw garlic on the top. I went out with a bowl into my garden and came back with lettuce, mint, and dill for a salad to accompany my alfredo. Delish. Turns out that the granola that I was using in my tracker didn't include the fibre. I got rid of that one and added the one that has the same nutrition as is on the box. I am always fighting for more fibre in my diet. Cherries is my snack at work each day now until they are finished, then back to strawberries. (both have fibre)
Yesterday was a pretty typical day for me calorie and exercise output wise. I do tend to average around 1200 calories per day. The "if every day was like today" thing. If only, that would be awesome!

Good Day!
@deepwoodslady , I have to admit to missing Golden Corral...I used to take my kids there when they were young. I used to go to Old Country Buffet before they closed....and before I started my weight loss, of course. But I will still go to Asian buffets...I can have all the crab legs I want and not do any real damage to my weight.
Day 22—06/05— 169.6 - Today was meatball day...47 meatballs! They smelled great....tasted great, too ! Plenty of future meals. Really going to try to get to that 169 mark this week.
Day 23—06/06— 170.6 - National Donut Day....guess what I WON'T be eating?
The wound from my tumor removal was bleeding, so I decided to leave it open to the air instead of putting Aquaphor on and covering it...it will probably heal faster. Its looking better after the last 18 hours.
Day 24—06/07— 169.6 - I skipped meatballs yesterday and will again today. I had an apple for breakfast and will have steak, baked potato and green beans for dinner. Not sure about lunch yet. It's a grey, rainy weekend…bleah.

Week 2 Ending Weight: 146.2
Week 3 Ending Weight: 144.3Day 22—06/05— 144.1. Just a short walk due to time and weather constraints. Food was good.
Day 23—06/06— 144.1. Same as yesterday. Short walk and my eating was good. Hoping to get back to the gym this weekend.
Day 24—06/07— 142.0. Yesterday was quite a poopy day filled with too much stress. As a result, my stomach was feeling off and I just didn't want to eat. I also had a couple of beers at the end of the day. I'm probably a bit dehydrated. Short walk, no gym.
Day 25—06/08— 146.5. Pizza Hut. MIL came over and we ordered pizza. I probably (definitely) ate more than I needed. But I'm not that upset about this. It's part of the life balance aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I'm sure at least some will come off quickly.

I didn't post yesterday. Didn't exercise yesterday, went downtown for shopping & lunch instead; not really a good replacement. Still lots of walking plus walked the dog. Friday was 'left overs' from Thursday's big meal. Managed a caloric deficit because my calories OUT were very high. Went a little over my 1770 calorie IN target yesterday because I was short on protein, so decided to add an evening protein snack to get my protein up. Scale is up, but 7 day average is trending down. Need to go exercise now, I'll catch up on everyone's posts later.

Day 25—06/08— 140.6 - 1 lb up. Never happy about a jump on the scale unless it is warranted. However, I know that fluctuations are normal. Somebody reminded me that Asparagus season is just about over, so I went to the Farmer's Market before work yesterday and got 2 big bunches. I had some along with dinner last night. Yum! I have developed some sort of big lump on the side of my foot that I noticed in the bath last night. I will have to get in to see my doc some time this week. I do have foot problems because of being on my feet and running around waitressing every day. I know that losing weight would help me immensely. Really working on that. Got to keep plugging with the work thing. My plan is to cut back to 4 days a week in January of 2026. Meanwhile, heading into day 12 of 35 without a day off today. I will get the garden watered this morning before I go, and hopefully some weeding and other stuff.

My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️ Week 3 Goal: To lose 2.1 lbs which is 3 weeks of 0.7 each. I have lost what I have gained so far but need to lose each of those 0.7 goal amounts. Need to land at 192.1 to be on target.

🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️ Cumulative Weight Loss/Gain So Far: 2.2 lbs Lost
CURRENT WEEK:
Day 22—06/05—191.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.2)
Day 23—06/06—191.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.0)
Day 24—06/07—190.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 192.7) A nice little drop this morning. My weight-in was about an hour earlier than usual. Got up early to get ready for the trip to the movies. TMI after a couple of no-go days really helped. My diet was on point yesterday also but less physical movement than I’ve been getting lately so I didn’t expect to see the scale move this much. They have chosen Golden Corral for dinner. Oh my, all you can eat. But must I really eat “all I can eat”? Feeling weak. Maybe being this close to the 180’s will help me. I’m not feeling it though, honestly. I’ll try to watch the dessert plate at least which is A LOT since that is my biggest temptation.
🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️Day 25—06/08—192.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 1917) Well, there’s my typical couple of pound gain after travel/restaurant/sitting. Hopefully it won’t take more than a couple of days to come back off. The movie Lilo & Stitch was really good. I think most all adults and children alike would enjoy it. I stayed away from the drinks and snacks at the theater but not away from the dessert table at Golden Corral. My bad. I’m one pound over my goal for this week now. Just 3 more days to get there. I’ll be working hard for it!

Yesterday was good. Today may contain some minefields… long story there…
Have a good day everyone.

Thanks @dawnbgethealthy! But, I had gained a bit over 12 pounds in 7 weeks between the 7th of April until the day I found and started this challenge on May 26th. So, back in early April I was in the lower 190s. I knew I had to do something serious to turn that “stress eating binge fest” around. I’m so disgusted with what I did, but couldn’t find a way to stop or turn it around. Being conscious of trying not to go there again and trying to get back into the 190s as a motivator helps. But, usually I’ll get to the lower 190s and then lose motivation again. We’ll see if I can keep at it for the rest of this 100 day challenge and then continue into the next one.
BTW - you’re doing GREAT!!!

Day 23—06/06—145.6
Same as yesterday, eating was good and lots of back stretches.
Day 24—06/07—145.2
Doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer that put me to bed by 8pm. Silver lining – no nighttime snacking!
Day 25—06/08—145.1

. Hi. I’m an unretired (by choice) senior from central B.C., Canada. Back for another round. After being an absolute backsliding turtle for the past ?18 months, my Ultimate challenge goal is to lose 20lbs.
SW: 181.8 ; GW: 161 ; UGW 140
Week 1: 178.6
Week 2: 180.8 ( +2.8) Need to be more resilient when dealing with a lot of moody people
Week 3: 179 ( - 1 )
Week 4:
Day 22 ~ 06/05: 179 yard project 75% finished. Road trip to Kamloops; packed lunch etc but forgot utensils ☹ so off plan.
Day 23 ~ 06/06: 180.8 Here we go again. Shoveled sand until ds (dear son) arrived and took over; paddled 90 minutes then shoveled a bit more after dinner. Slept well!!
Day 24 ~ 06/07: 178.2 Happy dance. Not a lot accomplished before heading in to work.
Day 25 ~ 06/08: 179.2 Stayed close to “on plan” yesterday(27/23 WW pts) but broken sleep; awake from 1;45 to 5! Then slept in so morning’s shot. Expect work to be chaotic this afternoon (kitchen ‘issues’) plus dh (dear husband) is baking sourdough buns so hoping I can resist temptations.

@deepwoodslady I hear you regarding the first piece of popcorn (or any snack for that matter). It is like pulling the bottom peg from a Jenga and I can't stop. The challenge is to not eat that one first piece.
Last day of school! Already? That seems early to me. The schools here go until the last week of June. Your GS must be excited for the summer break.@Crochetluvr 47 meatballs! So much work, but with huge payoff in quick future meals. My husband is making meatballs tonight for dinner (I think anyway, I stay out of the kitchen).
Re the wound —> Hope it is healing better now.@ptitejeanne Keep up all those 'thumbs up' 👍️. Love you 'tiny steps' approach. It is so sustainable.
@Shetlandmama Noticed you were in the hospital in late May. I hope everything is alright now. Take care.
@frankwbrown National Donut Day! Darn, I missed it. But we had ice cream with whipped cream. So good, but so not in my plan. We have to live and enjoy life and sometimes, that just means rolling with it and not thinking about the plan.
@Grandma16grandkids Great work on your first challenge! Congratulations on having 16 grandchildren. My parents only had four (my four kids) and my in-laws have 12. I hope you are able to spend time with them.
@JimnKC cookies and popcorn —> sounds like you were inspired by Donna and Frank! lol Got to enjoy life.
Re "Seems like every time I eat any sweets of snacks my cravings go crazy. Then I dive into a carb/sugar overdose. So far the only thing that works is no snacks at all after dinner." —> That is just like Donna was saying with the popcorn. I'm the same, once you have one sugary (or frankly salty) thing, then I just want three more. If I don't have that first one and I let the craving pass, then I don't eat any of it.@dawnbgethealthy Thanks for the snack ideas. Lately my go-to snack is 125 grams of cottage cheese mixed with 15 grams of chocolate protein powder. 30 grams of protein.
RE "If we don't ask we don't get right?" —> That is one of my motto's "if you don't ask, the answer is No."@davis_fore and @davisfore6572 (profile name change?) Welcome to the 100 Day Challenge, so glad to have you join us. We are a support group of MFP'ers with a variety of goals. Mostly we weigh and log daily.
@Zaxa2021 The stomach is the second brain. Stress & anxiety & digestive issues are all tied together. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
@plantpowered Re your chart —> As your chart grows and the weeks add up, you may find the weekly average in the 2nd row rather tall. I use a separate 'side chart' (could be on a separate tab) to do the weekly tracking. It is all formula based. I use an =AverageIFS formula to get the weekly averages. I also have a tab for 'by day of the week' pivot tables.
The graph is going in the 'right' direction!@bteri107 Oh no about your back! I hope the muscle relaxer works and you'll be feeling back to normal soon.
I think I'm caught up. Have a good day everyone.

Good Evening....hope y'all had a nice weekend!
@age_is_just_a_number , thank you! The meatballs were a project, but my SO acted as my sous chef.....I don't like the chopping and grating. As for the wound, its looking better....I hope that continues.
Day 24—06/07— 169.6 -
Day 25—06/08— 169.6 - Had a tuna sandwich for lunch and spaghetti with meatballs for dinner....and a granola bar for dessert. And that will be it for food....no snacking. I may have a diet Snapple.

Morning all,
I have been having a few sandwiches at my sister's house the last few weeks.
I've just weighed the bread and it is double the weight and calories I have been recording. It has about 4 times the calories of white bread.
On payday I will be buying a loaf of bread to keep in her freezer.
Will be difficult to salvage this week but I will keep the protein and fibre high and do my best.
It pays to weigh your food at least once.
Good luck to everyone achieving your goals.

I realized this morning that I missed a day on my tracking sheet. It is updated now. Went out for Szechwan food last night (no meatballs like my husband had mentioned). When the girls returned from the wedding they were attending, they said they had a craving for Szechwan because they can't get it where they live. Overall, it hasn't been that good of a calorie IN week. But I'm still tracking and still learning. Tomorrow we are leaving for a few days of camping. Back on Friday. Generally, camping means lots of walking, but no formal exercise. Hopefully, I'll at least get some yoga in. 7 day trend is a little lower than week 3 average. I'll weigh tomorrow, but won't weigh again until Saturday.

I probably ate more than I needed. But I'm not that upset about this. It's part of the life balance aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I'm sure at least some will come off quickly.
Day 26—06/09— 146.2. Another day of poor eating. No excuses this time, just bad decisions. Lots of walking but no gym.
