Exactly Lanette, and then I click back on the notice to delete it.
I shouldn't have to change anything to avoid having to deal with these bots, creeps, whatever they are. I come here for support and assistance. It's all about algorithms. And FB doesn't have nearly the issues that MFP does. You can make your friends page private (only me) and take care of the issues over there. Cloners don't bother with you after that.

Welcome to the modern world .. and it won't likely get any better.

Heading to Gastro today. I hope she has something I can do for the GERD/GAS I've developed lately. I've been using Gas-X and Pepcid Complete (and of course Immodium) to keep things working normally. I really don't want to continue that routine, but I have a feeling that my Colitis has progressed to this.
Lucy found a squashed dead baby rattle snake this morning on our walk. I was looking at something than looked down to see her prancing happily with the snake hanging from her mouth! No picture as I was too grossed out!! 🤢
Thought for the Day:
Why can’t a nose be 12 inches long?
Because then it would be a foot.

Ange - Happy Birthday! Sorry to hear about your air quality.
Margaret - good idea wearing your mask and staying inside as well. Is there any projection on how long that smoke will hang around? Lovely flowers! I can smell the phlox from here, they are some of my favorites. 😍 My Rose of Sharon bush is starting to bloom. It's one of the hardiest and most drought tolerant shrubs. No scent but the hummingbirds like it. The blooms are edible, slightly sweet.
Pip - very happy Ethel is doing so well. Yogi did a great job. Hope you can find a rock and paint it like the one Debbie saw.🐕️
Allie - great that Alfie has settled in so well with Tom and Elena and you're available to babysit Alfie while they are gone for a bit. Sure is easier on him than boarding, plus you get your Alfie time. Hope your ARPN has some advice for your GERD.
Annie - hope that dishwasher is an easy fix.
Rita - crossing fingers your gastro doc has some solutions.
Carla - luckily, I don't really notice the bots on my laptop unless I really look for them, so they are easy for me to ignore. I know different devices handle things differently.
Rosemarie - Sounds like your new lawn is doing OK. I agree, 90 is too hot to be mowing. For me, 70 is too hot to mow, lol.
I feel the same way about having a sister or grandchildren close by and being more active and getting out more. If my sis lived close by, I'd grab her for adventures. Sometimes it's fun doing things with someone you know really well, and that makes all the difference. I'm not one to make a new friend just to "go do stuff." Making friends is hard work for me and doing "spur of the moment" activities rarely work like they did in the past.
I'm also not comfortable riding in someone else's car unless I know them real well and know what kind of driver they are, especially if they are old like me, lol.
The Feet First Club - I've mentioned how much I love this little neighborhood and my neighbors are the best. Several of us have declared the only way we'll leave is "feet first" as in being carried out on a stretcher heading to the ER or to the funeral home. 😂 My 94 year old neighbor John refuses to move to assisted living to the chagrin of his daughter, who lives 2 hours away. Roger and Mrs. Roger across the street feel the same way, as do my neighbors on the other side of me. Our places are a lot of work and worry, but unless something drastically changes we're staying. We don't have relatives or close friends nearby, but have each other. Thing is, though, we've made an effort. It didn't happen automatically. After my DH passed away 3 years ago, we started to realize how important we were to each other and looking out for each other was very important.
It's not quite the "Thursday Murder Club". Yet, lol.
Better close. Make it a wonderful week!🤩

Ange - Happy birthday! All the nine birthdays were harder on me than the zeros. No idea why. Love being 60+ though, and still saying that at 65!
Allie - Good for you on the 140s, but not a good way to do it! I hope they're able to help.
Annie - While you were away, I took down my refrigerator painting… Acrylic paints strip off of the enamel on the side of a refrigerator fairly easily, as it turns out! Think of me as the MFP Banksy… 😉 Paintings that are here today, gone tomorrow.
Woke up incredibly late this morning, past 8 a.m., but it was a restless night all the way up until 2 a.m., and that's when Corey woke me because I was screaming in a nightmare. Don't do that terribly often, thank goodness. I thanked him for waking me up, and was out solid after that.
Just got off an hour's gab with my sister. So pleased that she's moving forward with her YouTube videos, and she's getting good fast. Always nice to be one step ahead of her, since I'm the big sis! 😂 She's not ready to go public yet, but she's teetering on that edge finally.
Called Corey and reassured him I was OK, since I'd missed his "good morning" call.
As soon as I got going, I was able to get a load of laundry done and out on the line (earbuds for the phone are very helpful with getting my chores done). Still got to get my meds sorted out, as well, and then I have a PT appt at 2:30. Writing and or crochet in the middle of that chunk of time, and probably breakfast soon. I feel like I was running a marathon in my sleep… starving.
Anyway - hope it is/was a good morning for you and a good Monday for us all,
Love y'all,

I don't get too many here, maybe because I never figured out how to post a picture ;)
BUT I get, almost daily, requests to join our group page for our high school on Facebook. 90% are "digital creators" and have joined FB in the last 6 months or less.
Annoying to get the notification, hoping it is an old friend, and seeing it is some unknown person.
WHY would they want to join our page- it is just for the reunion.4 -
my mom is also a "feet first" member. She plans on staying on the property and even after she is gone, she will be on the property. She wants to be buried on the property next to my dad, her sister, brother in law, two nephews, sisters fiance and two dogs. Yep- all are buried under the crab apple tree. She has even picked out the "urn" she wants to be put in- it is a Noah's Ark piggy bank- Dad was put in one of the bird houses that he built himself-that was the suggesting from the sweet people at the mortuary who knew my dad. They could have sold her a nice expensive urn but mom loved their suggestion.
This is a big reason I hope we don't have to sell the place after she is gone.
Both of my sisters can't wait to sell the place. My younger sister actually asked for her inheritance early(this was quite a few years ago, long before my dad passed away)
My older sister mentioned to a friend that the property was worth way more than it actually is, like almost 10times the real value- and she was expecting her third.I want to keep the property- Neither want it or have the means to pay the taxes/etc on it.

Good day today.
Woke up early, but got my exercises in. After breakfast I did some writing, switching from the phone to the tablet. Gradually limbering up.
Chatted with G.
Then I put the hinges on the cupboard doors, plus the magnetic catches and the knobs. Hooray!
After my afternoon nap I decided to tackle the sides and top. A bit of a struggle to do it on my own (they recommend two people) but got the sides, top and back together. Then I added the metal stand. Almost done!!!
Just got to fit some wedges in the back panel, put in the shelf and hang the doors. Tomorrow.
it all went smoothly, with no hiccups. Very well labelled.
I chose to do it on a very hot day, but I'm pleased with self. Also cooked a pasta with freshly made pesto and broccoli, prawns etc. Delicious! My basil plant was four feet tall!

We just came back from pismo Beach (CA), one of yogi’s favorite places. I had been working on this project and it’s finally done. I had to get sand, shells and rocks from there. I had bought the pot from a garage sale and I painted it with an ocean style theme. I free handed the dog not bad because I only had one shot at it. I put some of his ashes in it. The thing is solar powered so we can move it wherever we want. It came out great.

😀 How hot was it this afternoon????? My dog walking friend didn't walk because it was too hot for her, Bessie didn't even leave the fenced yard to do her business and Annie went out the front gate and walked around to the back gate and came back into the house. Fortunately this kind of heat lasts only a few days. I have an appointment with the dermatologist at 1 PM tomorrow and I'll leave Annie at home instead of taking her with me and letting her wait in the car in the heat. This will be a new practice for us
😀 I started watching the new season of Professor T. What a great show.

Good point, Allie. I think since these are urns and not bodies, it's a different thing. But their presence would definitely need to be disclosed, and they might have to be moved. Different states have different rules about. Some don't allow the burial of urns on private property, just scattered. But California must allow it, since the funeral home helped.
Pip, your memorial to Yogi is lovely.
At work today. Nearly 100 degrees and my office doesn't have AC, but I'm in the lowest level of the building, with half my office underground and my window is shaded by trees and more ground (our campus is extremely hilly!) so I'm fine.
Oops. 101!
Reading through How Not to Die again. I need to read it every year to remind me what I should and should not eat.

Margaret – I thought phlox only bloomed early in the season! Thanks for sharing
Rita – good luck at the MD. A snake hanging out of anyone’s mouth would gross me out, too.
Lisa – every once in a while I’ll scream out in my sleep. One time I screamed and attempting to wake me I scratched Vince. He never again attempted to wake me...lol
Ran the dishwasher before we went to bowling. I did fairly well –broke 100 twice. OK, it was only 102. But it was over 100 just the same. We just won’t talk about the third game.
Then took Ganon for a walk. I asked Jess what she wanted to do for dinner and she said “do I have to make it”? I just said “yup”. Then I suggested hot dogs. They are easy to make – all you have to do is put them in boiling water. My thought was to let her know that you still have to make dinner, even if you have something else you are doing. Right now Vince is feeling cold so he’s laying down. Don’t ask me to explain that. You get colder if you are not moving. Well...whatever. She needs to know that sometimes you can make a fast dinner, but you still have to make it. Vince is cold so he’s laying down. When I’m cold, I put my hands on the dishes when they come out of the dishwasher. Update: they went out to eat
pip – love the pot. You are so talented
Took Ganon for a long walk this morning and then a short on this evening.

Michele there is a ground phlox here that blooms in the spring and I have a short potted version that is still blooming because I keep dead heading it. The phlox in the bouquet is a tall phlox that starts to bloom in August and is done around mid September. I have a large area that is all white and it is lovely. I don't have as much of the purple. The white phlox I got from my MIL. I had some pink too but that got crowded out by the white.

Kim - Happy Belated Birthday!
Rebecca - I wouldn’t have patience to watch a show like that, but I understand that if no one was raised with it how would they know? I think my Grands would know because they camp.
I also agree about the husband thing. My daughter and son in law did the wife/husband thing when they first got married. Drove me crazy lolDebbie - I lived out in the country too I was first picked up and last off on the bus. Couldn’t attend any after school activities because of bussing.
Lisa - I am the same on starting something, until I want to get it done immediately I know it’s right.I’ve had a couple of those lately that are getting done. Hence, I’m behind on here.
The bots - I rarely have anything on my FB or Instagram, I get a few a week on here. I don’t have a problem deleting them, but I wish they could at least do a “delete and block” feature like the other sites do.
Machka - I don’t know how you keep up that pace everyday. I have to have downtime throughout the week or I suffer.
Lanette - we’ve gotten to know so of our neighbours here and I love that sense of community.
I went and had a visit with my neighbour and her 6 year old son that I just adore yesterday. She told me he had pointed out that Rodger got new wheels, then noticed the vinyl he had me apply yesterday. LOLHeather - Beautiful photos John took.
Pip - A beautiful tribute to Yogi.
Michele - Rodger get very cold at times and he can do nothing but go lay down under a heated blanket after a hot shower to get comfortable. For some reason it tends to exhaust him. He thinks it’s nothing, I think it’s something he should talk to his doctor about.
One of the things I’ve been mulling on was what pictures to put in this frame I picked up free on Marketplace. I finally decided yesterday after my neighbour said something about scenery that I would put pictures of some of our trips and home. The middle one is actually one of my Dad’s photos it was sunrise from their house.
I could do a whole album of sunrises and sunsets of Dad’s I bet.The other projects was my ancestral album.I will share a coupe of photos each day for a bit. If I was to do it all at once I would fill up a whole page.
this is the cover, I still have some decorating to do on it.
each of these have more underneath the “cover”
left side cover opened - each of these flaps on the right has pictures of my Dad’s family.
if you were to lift the left flap of the one above this is my Dad
I’ll put another section on tomorrow night :)Tracey in Edmonton

Wow, Tracey, those albums are impressive! Wonderful work. It gives a real impression of the history of your family. 😍💗 That picture of your dad could be Jonah!
Pip - I love your project too. It really keeps Yogi with you. 🤗
Woke v early again. A hot night. I have done my exercises, and I'm looking forward to finishing the cupboard today. After my writing.
I could see John's light was on when I woke up. He has been having a bit of toothache from a filling fallen out. Yesterday he called in at the dentist, but they can't see him for ten days. Indigestion has also been waking him early. 😪
Cooling off a bit now. The window is wide open. The world is peaceful.
Tomorrow we are meeting up for lunch with John's cricket friend and his wife. She is down here to see some kind of dentist, for a consultation. Don't know more about it. They thought a light lunch would be good, so we've suggested Shandiz, and just have some starters and dips. The next day we have the grandchildren for lunch here, and some of the afternoon. DDIL has some kind of video interview to do. Right now they are at the other grandparents. Apparently, her dad loved the card I painted for him. 😁
So all good. If I get my exercise and my writing in, the day is a great day.

What a talented group of ladies…writers, painters, card and scrap book makers, ceramics etc.
Pip ~ Love the memorial to Yogi.
Tracey ~ Your scrapbook will be a memory for your girls and family. Unfortunately, when I was growing up my parents very, very seldom took photos so I have nothing from us five children to remember.

Carol - Could you write down a few memories? Even the most ordinary things become interesting with the passing of time. I'm sure your grandchildren would be grateful in the future.
I did a little bit more to my cupboard before breakfast, and just have the doors to put on.
I did my writing, but couldn't remember the name of the local pub we used to go to in my early twenties in London. After a few tries, AI came to the rescue! It's strange how memories flood back. That pub is shut down now, so I couldn't find it on a map, but I did see another one that sparked an important memory. I would never have remembered its name from 1974. A wave of nostalgia.

Good morning my friends!
As usual I wake up to Dad's mess. Last night he got into the molasses. I can't figure out why. I don't use it so it was likely buried somewhere.
The dishwasher is broken but I'm using it to hide the dishes while my cleaner is here. I better start cleaning up because she will be here at 8:00.
More later,

Debbie - when my parents passed away, my sis was the executor for their estate and farm. She kept a portion of the land for her share - deeded that portion over to her - and sold the rest to a neighboring farmer. Those proceeds were divided between my brother and me. Of course, that was Indiana.
Pip - what a lovely tribute to Yogi.
Heather - sounds like your new cupboard is coming along nicely! Sorry about John's tooth/filling. What a misery for him.
Tracy - those scrapbooks are wonderful, and what a thoughtful thing to create right now. A special legacy for future generations to enjoy. My sis has most of the old photos - I can still see the ones I liked best in my mind's eye. 😁
It was still 68F outside when I got up an hour ago, it's now down to 65. The A/C was set at 71. I have windows open trying to draw in a little cooler air before Collette arrives and the sun comes up. It's going to be a cooker today, we'll probably see 97F. But tomorrow - back down to 77. Rain on Friday.
The hens don't like the heat. Chickens can stand cold weather, as long as they can stay dry, much better than hot weather. They've dug a depression in the dirt in their run so yesterday I dumped a bucket of water in it and made them a "mud hole." Thelma stood in it for a while. They were all panting. Also carried ice cubes out a couple times to put in their water bowl. They'll survive. I'm grateful this heat wave has only been for a few days.
Any of you stargazers up before dawn with clear skies? Check out the 2 bright planets in the east - Venus and Jupiter. Apparently most if not all planets will be lined up this month. Trees block part of my view.

Machka - I don’t know how you keep up that pace everyday. I have to have downtime throughout the week or I suffer.
Tracey — what do you do in your downtime?
That question is open to any of you. 😊
I take brief periods of downtime:
- 15 minutes before bed to read (a bit more on weekends)
- a few minutes here or there to colour
- longer sleep on Saturdays & Sundays
And in some ways the exercise I do is "downtime".

Climbed 33 flights of stairs

Tracey - There's so much love and care went into those pages. Really like the way you've put the vitals on the sepia-toned papers, as well, makes it feel like they belong as part of the pages alive. Your grands will love having those in the family, as well as your daughters.
Pip - So glad you have Ethel (and Lucy and Chispa) in your life, and the tribute to Yogi is just amazing. Such love for him shining through that piece.
Flea - Those kind of temperatures in Oregon just seem crazy, but we did have a few hot days, even at the coast, when we lived in Coos Bay. Hope it gets back to your more normal temps soon.
Had to cancel my PT appointment yesterday - the vertigo really sat me down. It wasn't that I was scared of driving - the vertigo honestly doesn't bother me when I'm driving. It was the idea of taking a shower when I was feeling that dizzy and sick.
But after I had canceled it, I decided to risk the Epley Maneuver once more, and it actually did quite a bit of good this time. You really do just have to keep repeating it. I'll probably try it one more time today to see if I can finish off the lingering, but much diminished vertigo. Still need to get in the shower, though!
A bit of laundry and such are also waiting for me, but no watering this morning, as we got some rain yesterday evening late. Pleased to see it. It was getting really dry and dusty from that heat hammering us day after day. Cooler this morning than it's been in weeks, as well. Everything is still damp outside. Even a temporary respite, which this is, is welcome.
Things to get done, time to get moving.
Love y'all!
