Lord have mercy, my ex husband and I just had a screaming fight over the phone that he started and I ended by telling him to FO and hanging up.
    This never happens.
    It upsets me.
It also pisses me off. 🤬

Traffic on the way to the airport was ridiculous. Thank goodness parking was easy and the TSA precheck line wasn't long. I got lucky - I made it to my gate 5 minutes before boarding started.

My glucose monitor did a Tom Cruise in Risky Business and slid off my bathroom counter into a sink full of water. I refilled the prescription from my doctor's and they cancelled it without letting me know because you can only get a new one every 3 years which will be in another year.

My backup monitor (that I usually keep at work for days like yesterday when I go a little crazy when we order food in) is almost out of strips and a whole new kit is almost less than the strips themselves.

Anyway I have to try to get a new monitor from the manufacturer now.

Ok, I'm unirked. Sorta. Got home and looked for the phone number to call on the monitor and thought "what the hell?" It's working again. Which is good but I checked out monitors online earlier and there was a cheap enough one in the same family that includes the lancing device I like and uses the same strips I pay wayyyyyyyy less for through my insurance.

Also, backe to being irked! The rice cooker's been cracking eggs lately plus I also dropped one on the floor while transferring to the ice water.

It irks me that I am denied the satisfaction of slamming the phone receiver down after a fight on the phone.

Someone needs to make an app that allows you to set your phone to ‘slam’ and the other person would hear it right before disconnection.

What irks me is waking up to find two tiny, brown spots (assumably chocolate chips from a granola bar that my husband ate) on my mom's loveseat. After selling our house, we moved into a rental property that my mom owns. She bought almost "new" everything for us. Beds and mattresses and many appliances are brand new and dining room table and chairs and living room furnishings are used but she still paid for them and they were delivered. Loveseat looks like Golden Girls furniture. Nonetheless…

My biggest issue is that she's done so much for us and I'm mad at him for being a you-know-what. Now, I'm also madder that he makes a stink about us getting a pet in my mom's property. I was so mad this morning. He's at work but I was texting him:

"And yes, I will be getting a pet or two ~ paying for it and taking care of it. At least if the furniture is going to get trashed, I'd rather a cuddly animal do it. And a dog is way more easily trainable than some humans..."

He did apologize and promise not to eat on the couch anymore but I'm still very much annoyed.

I can relate to this. 👆 I was working when our 22-year-old pool liner got replaced, so I asked my husband to take a picture of the old liner so I could do a before/after picture when the new one was put in. I had to ask him a couple of times, and when he finally remembered, he sent me this:

    My subsequent texts:

Then he asked me, "Why do you need it anyway?" To which I replied,

I was irked that he couldn't just take a stupid picture and send it to me. But I was reminded lately how fleeting life is, so I'm working on being a kinder, gentler, less annoyed version of myself - especially with him. I'm a work in progress, so I don't imagine it'll happen overnight. Here's hoping the stain comes out easily. 🧡 Remember to blot, don't rub.

@cmsienk Thank you, I will tell him that. I'm "letting" him clean it when he gets home from work. And those words, "why do you need it anyway," I have heard a hundred times. Doesn't matter why, couldn't you just do this one tiny, little thing for me? I empathize with you as well…I try to pick and choose my battles a little better these days as well. Frustrating, but the good still outweighs the bad most days and I'm still getting my pet 😁. Enjoy your pool! 💧

ITS 5:30 am, i walk into the donut shop, i can clearly see the donuts being made. you know a big vat of hot oil, rings of dough floating and a guy flipping them etc… the girl at the counter offers her help, I tell her what id like, now mind you the display of donuts is wildly abundant, and the smell of this place is what keeps you hooked. Wonderful ! I buy a dozen and return home. coffee a glass of milk, and its on. but, once again they sold me yesterdays doughnuts, stale f$%kin donuts , how is this possible. Trust me, i know a fresh one (donut) from a day old one. it has happens every time,i thought it was because i got there late, like 10:00 am, so, today 5:30am, LOL, i even asked the girl 'are these fresh?" she looked at me, turned her head in the direction of the cook in the back, as to say, "dude what do you think". LOLOLOL they obviously dont eat their own products. i reccon i shouldnt either. bad donuts… irk me lol

The fact that one of my mom’s many, many doctors made an appointment for her to get a mammogram that I called and cancelled.
She’s 98! How stupid can they be?

I think the new generation of doctors are trained more on how they get paid for their services. It's like jail, if you never get in trouble, you are fine. have a bad day and your in the system for ever. same with health care, you get older, get a cold and go to the doctors, just in case, and you get perscribed meds that barely work if at all, prolonging the cold until you are in the hospital for full blown lung infection. older people with medicare and suplements, holy cow they work the hell out of the INS.company. and vice-verca.We all want the best for our elders.of course. Again, preventive maintenace they pass you from one doctor to another. i could go on but, i will go from IRKED to pissed. witch prob. shortens my life by a day until i mellow out. Emergency calls and Dr.'s are totaly a different case. You get the best they have in most cases. EMS people are golden.

So, How stupid can they be? To them it would be stupid not to take the easy money. after all someone asked for a check up. (like medicare for example).once you find yourself in that rabbit hole, we feel like the stupid ones. IF it aint broken dont fix it? well, its a fine line with our health. its all about trust and comon sense id say. or, luck if you have a horse or cattle ranch, or live near a tractor supply store. LOL

I’ve had a headache all day.

imo, one of the few drawbacks to living here, every allergen known to man blows through.

I actually hate shopping at Costco anymore. Handing over a $200 receipt- treated like a thief on the way out

    I know what you mean.
My ex had it out with the manager at the Costco he goes to when they wanted him to take his photo for the Costco id, he threw a fit. They told him fine, he didn’t have to do it, just show his license instead. So…..why does everyone need to be photographed if they have a DL?
I hate the place, been in 1 time.
