    Went out for dinner last night to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. Went over on IN. Ended in a surplus of 200 calories. One day is fine.

    @dawnbgethealthy Always love your garden pictures. Do you bring any plants inside over the winter?

    I don't bring anything inside, most things are in the ground and are finished their cycle. I do freeze quite a bit. In the winter I sprout for fresh food. fenugreek is my fave. Happy Anniversary!!

    @tinathescreamer

    Those few paltry tomatoes are in a box and when they are ripe will go into a chili or something. I don't really eat chutney or relish, but good idea. There isn't even enough for one jar. I normally have 3 or 4 big boxes of green tomatoes this time of year which ripen up nicely for cooking jambalaya, curry, etc. Kind of disappointing with the yield this year, however, I have been having a tomato sandwich every day since August so that is great. I have enough ripe ones left for about 3 or 4 more sandwiches. I had a bumper crop of peppers this year though, and got hardly any last year. I have already de-seeded and sliced 4 giant bowls of them and put them in the freezer, as well as I am still eating one each day at work and still have one big bowl on the porch that I am drawing from. There will be lots of stir frys this winter with my onions and peppers, garlic etc.

    Hi : - )

    I am Dawn. I will turn 65 this round. I have changed my eating habits over time. I basically eat half of the amount that I used to, and have limited eating Ribs to once every 3 months instead of once per week.

    Week 3 Start Weight: 137.6

    Week 3 Goal: 135.6

    Week 3 Actual Weight: 136.5

    Week 4 Start Weight: 135.2

    Week 4 Goal: 135.0

    Week 4 Actual Weight: 136.0

    Week 5 Start Weight: 136.0 - on my 65th birthday

    Week 5 Goal: 135.0 136.5

    Week 5 Actual Weight: 136.2

    Week 6 Start Weight: 136.8

    Week 6 Goal: 135.2 (my weight 4 days before my birthday)

    Week 6 Actual Weight: 136.6 - Once per 3 month Ribs eaten

    Day 43—10/04 — 135.4 - Waitress walking is sure not like walking in cottage country, my legs and hips and knees are sore today from the concrete. I'm sure that I will get back used to it. It is going to be quite awhile until I catch up financially, no income generated since September 7th. There are "blocks" of shifts available to bid on at the LTC place (Joseph Creek) but they coincide with my first job, so I couldn't take them. It would have been $1k sigh. Working a split shift today, so I plan to harvest any green beans that are ready during my break.

    Day 44—10/05 — 135.4 - I feel like I have just worked 7 days and it has only been 2 lol. I have a straight through shift instead of a split today, so am working on packing up some food to take. I don't eat much, but I do eat frequently. A sliced up apple eaten with a fork will last me a couple of hours, having a piece here and there as I walk by the staff table. I made potato salad last night to take, and I cut up a big belle pepper from my garden also to munch on. Trying to get back to the yoghurt and granola thing, I haven't had that since before my trip. I put some in a container to take to work today too.

    Day 45—10/06 — 135.4 - Holding steady. Wifi was out this morning and I managed to get it fixed. Rushing now to get to work.

    Day 46—10/07 — 135.6 - Slight uptick, but very late dinner. I expected to be off of work at 3pm and doing so many things that I need to do in my garden - I worked until 9pm because someone was sick. I took only one apple cut up and a big belle pepper cut up which is all that I ate until well after I got home, got cleaned up and into my pjs and finally had some dinner. Yes, I do carry extra stuff in my work bag, granola bars, rice cakes and peanut butter etc. It was very busy and I was grateful for the extra hours. My one day off today. I will get out in the yard this afternoon once it warms up a bit. Sunny and blue here this morning, but the sun hasn't fully hit my backyard just yet.

    Day 47—10/08 — 137.2 - Argh. The only differenence was very few steps on the pedometre since I was out doing stuff in the yard all day and didn't leave to have a walk. It was a very good day off.

    Day 48—10/09 — 137.4 - The only change that I have made to my eating this week is adding back in my yoghurt/granola, which I haven't had since September 10th. I don't want to remove it from my eating, so hopefully it will settle in and not keep me 2 pounds up. I read an interesting article in Scientific American which I subscribe to, it is about the death of the oldest living woman (in Spain) and why they think that she lived so long. She ate 3 servings of yoghurt daily along with her Mediterranean diet, and walked every day. Food for thought, literally.

    2 jobs today, and I will be going straight from one to the next and won't get home until late. I took something out of the freezer for dinner later and will put together some peppers, apple, yoghurt/granola to take to my first job. Tomorrow I am working 8 hours at my primary job and then rushing home, changing, and going straight to see Cirque Afrique at the theatre. I will need to pack lots of food again tomorrow, it will be another late night which never bodes well for my weight or energy level. Pardon me if I miss posting tomorrow.

    Day 49—10/10 —

    Week 7 Start Weight: 135.4

    Week 7 Goal: 134.8

    @Lynn__W

    So sorry to hear about your hubby's shingles. I watched my Mother go through that, and one of my sisters had it twice, the second time even on her face. I got vaccinated against it because it was so horrible for them : - (

    Great strategy on eating just a smidge less of each thing. It adds up and is really working for you, nice losses!
