            π· 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 313 (my 243rd). Goals for every round; - First and foremost, no feeding frenzies β I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
 I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone. Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, itβs taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life. Updated 20.08.24 β I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info π. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck. I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth". 10/27 140.6 β (trend 141.4) More or less knew yesterdayβs number would not stick, but still happy, last weight in previous round was 144, so thatβs a loss of 3.4 pounds. I know that previous weight was inflated due to a bad few days, but still happy. No structured exercise; met up with DS & family at Sudbury Childrenβs House, enjoyed the time with DGDs.  My plan had been a protein salad and the gym but realized we had agreed to host trivia at the local pub this week and have not written the questions!!!! Mad scramble for a quick meeting. Our team is known for being fun and having an inclusive wide range of trivia.

            SW 253 10/28: 203 (50 POUNDS GONE!!! I can't believe it!!! I feel amazing. Oh man I made the most delicious dinner last night. Chicken, spinach, sun-dried tomato ravioli in the crockpot! Turned out spectacular! Definitely a new staple in the house. I might even cook it for my family when they come over for bingo night one of these days. Only if my MIL likes sun dried tomatoesβ¦she's pretty picky. Crazy Blue Jays game last night. I didn't snack once in the whole 6.5 hours!!! I'm proud of myself.  UGW: 140I am Kira, working, an empty nester, and married. I live in Edmonton, Alberta with my hubby, dog, Farley, cats Shadow and Hunter. I have tried all diets and programs out there over the years, but nothing has worked for long. Now I am working on loving life and trying to be healthier. You donβt have to be perfect; you just must be better than you were before. Goals for this round are: - Check in every day.

- Get my step count to 10k daily.
 ππThis is NOT A DIET. Itβs a LIFESTYLE 10/28 β 194.4/ 4,036/19β no change today. I was thinking I would have a gain so Iβm happy. Finally feeling better. Not many steps yesterday. My goal for this round is to get my step count up. I have become very sedentary again. Need more movement. Not much sleep last night watching the Blue Jays game till the bitter end. Iβm feeling sorry for the fans on the east coast. 10/8 - 198.0 I am happy to be back under the 200 mark and am pushing to keep it that way. Talking yesterday with my husband I realized that when I quit smoking 29 years ago, I replaced it with carbs and sugar. That was when my weight started pilling on. I am working towards replacing sugar and carbs with better foods, one day at a time. 
 10/9 - 198.0 Had a great night last night ate too much but enjoyed the time with friend watching the first Oiler's game of the season, right till the end of a shootout.
 10/10 - 198.8 not a wonderful day yesterday, ate too much junk. I felt sic but not really sic enough to stop everything and rest. I hate those kinds of days.
 10/11 - 198.2 felt better yesterday, had meetings all afternoon, ran into another Realtor at the office who hasn't seen me since early September, she saw a difference in my face and asked me what I was doing to lose weight. This lifted my spirits so much. I have been thinking that I am the only one who sees a difference. We chatted about it and are going to meet up this week and go a for a walk.
 10/12 β 197.8 yesterday was a good day. My son came over to put new brakes on his girlfriendβs car. I got a chance to talk with her while he was doing that. I really like this girl. She fits into our family so nicely. I took my youngest young lady to IKEA to look around. She wants to get a new bedroom set. We found one that she likes but they didnβt have all the pieces in stock. Last night was the second hockey game of the season for the Oilerβs, they won, I hate the 8pm start time, it just feels too late.10/13 β 200.8 not happy to see the 200βs again, but with Thanksgiving meal yesterday it was expected. We had a friend over yesterday that we havenβt seen since last year this time. Weβve all been busy. He looked so much better, has lost just over 100lbs, told me he has 80 to go.
 10/14 β 197.8 happy to see the weight drop back again. Yesterday was a much more relaxing day. Did a bit of work around the house and then relaxed.
 10/15 β 196.6 incredibly happy to see this number this morning. Yesterday was an easy day. I did quite a bit of computer work and then watched the election results for NFLD and the Oilerβs game. The oil won, Skinner got his shut out. Finally got all my water in!!!
 10/16 β 196.0 woke up with a head cold today. Not liking it at all. Think I am going to cancel my coffee with the ladies. Yesterday was a good day. I got everything on my to do list done.
 10/17 β 197.0 Okay ended the round with a loss, not as much as I wanted but still less then at the beginning.
 10/18 β 196.6 glad to see 196 again. Had a non scale victory today. I am wearing a pair of pants that I have not been able to wear in a year, and they are comfortable!!!10/19 β 195.8 β wow, did not see this coming. Yesterday was a good day. Ended up chatting with an old co-worker, we agreed to keep in better contact. I am so happy with myself. I did not have any junk food yesterday. 10/20 β 194.8 β wow again not sure this is real. Last night I worked the Halloween Spooktacular. Had a fun time watching the young kids run and laugh at all the displays. I will be working it again on Friday night. 10/21 β 195.4 β up today but still down for the week. I worked the municipal election last night as a counter. We completed the count by midnight. I did not sleep that well after getting home so today is going to be a very chill day. 10/22 β 196.0 β up again but still down for the round. Yesterday was a complete waste. I felt hung over all day. Being up and out until after midnight is killer now. Of course, yesterday all I did was nibble on things that I should not nibble on. I really do not want to step on the scales tomorrowβ¦. 10/23 β 195.8 β finally movement down. Was expecting another gain. Incredibly happy to see I was wrong. Spent the day going through my office. Today is going to be a cleaning day. 10/24 β DNW was sick all day 10/25 β 193.8 β this would be an impressive loss if it were real. But I ate almost nothing yesterday. I have not been that sick in a long time. Still not feeling that great. 10/26 β 193.4 β still thinking this could just be because of being sick. Was feeling better yesterday but still not great. Woke up again this morning with a headache. 10/27 β 194.4 β Made my round goal loss and then some. Still up this morning from the last 2 days. I knew that I would be back up but thankfully not by as much as I could have been. Yesterday I felt much better, not 100%, but better. I slept well last night and got an extra hour of sleep this morning. 3

            IMO having a challenge that lasts 10 days gives you many opportunities to reset. This produces more opportunities for a success, and gives you a potential "end" with a restart when things are a bit more rough. I fine the 10 days very helpful. Hopefully you will feel the same. <3 5
