11/10- 173.211/11- 172.311/12- 171.5 - This is really nice to see, especially since we ended up going to Fam's for dinner for Veteran's Day. I had planned for my prepped dinner so my macros and calories were off. I also indulged in a mixed drink BF had made despite not typically drinking any alcohol during the week. Well, Veteran's Day happens once a year, I might as well enjoy it. On that note, my water goal did not get hit. I'm back on track today. Hoping that I can stick to this longer term.5 -

11/11-183.4 β (Trend Weight: 183.2) Well, this is a shock! I did have a pretty severe glucose drop last night. Instead of grabbing for candy from my DGSβs partial loot he left here, I opted for a bowl of Campbellβs Vegetable soup with some Ritz crackers. I normally eat 2 meals per day (plus snack at night) so the soup was a 3rd meal for me. It put me over on carbs (which was what I was looking for) but probably over on calories too. If I stuck the bowl on the scale it would not have even weighed the 2 Β½ lbs that showed up on the scale this morning so obviously this is sodium induced fluid retention. Especially since an earlier meal had been a bit high in sodium. Iβm looking forward to seeing it drop back off in the next day or two. I also have not slept well the past couple of day. 4 hours or less per night. My fitbit daily readiness was 25 (out of 100) yesterday and only 15 today. Even on good days my sleep is never restful as I get up so much. Itβs also a diabetic thing and I despise it. Anyway, sending a great big thank you to all the veteranβs who have served our country and protected our peace.
π¦π¦π¦π¦ 11/12-182.0 β (Trend Weight: 183.1) My food plan was good yesterday and no sugar drops. I had switched my lighter meal to night and my heavier meal midday and that did not work for me. I switched them back. Yes, it means I lay down for bed & tv with more calories unprocessed, but it helps (so far) with the glucose. I got kicked off my exercise bike last night after 22 minutes by my son, but thatβs okay because he definitely needs to lose weight more than me. While he did his spinning I made our 9:30 pm dinner then read 3 chapters of my book club book (meeting is Monday). Iβm a little behind on the reading. I also got some house cleaning in which got me up off my retired derriere. I mainly worked on the 2nd floor so there were lots of extra stairs yesterday. The 2nd floor mainly belongs to my DGS and he will be back tomorrow to nice smelling freshly washed sheets and blankets and all his crumbs vacuumed up. He will be turning 8 on November 29th s so he is still at an age where he appreciates everything. Those teenage years arenβt here yet!

Back once again! Life threw me a couple of curve balls a in round 310 when I tried to jump back in, so fingers crossed all curve balls are behind me now (for the near future at least)!

11/10 - 62.8kg / 138.4lbΒ - π¦πΊπ¨βπ³ - drank my water, moved my body, avoided alcohol, prepped my food. A sneaky little unplanned snack tipped my calories over in the end, but it was balanced and not bingey so I'm still chalking the day up as a win!
11/11 - 62.5kg / 137.7lbΒ - π¦πΊπ¨βπ³π- nailed all the goals today. Enjoying the motivation that comes with getting back on the horse, knowing this too shall pass but taking the losses while they come!
11/12 - 61.95kg / 136.5lbΒ - π¦πΊπ¨βπ³ - Added in an extra yougurt and fruit snack in the evening because I was huuuuungry. Big drop on the scale though! Just getting back to sensible eating so it make sense that the numbers are changing pretty quickly. Glad to have made goal for the round. Now to stay steady over the next 4 days. I am with my little kids at home Thursday-Sunday and I find it much harder to keep on top of snacking/stess eating/drinking alcohol. Being in charge of 2 toddlers will do that to you I guess haha. Any tips and tricks for managing these (the snacking/stress eatng, not the toddlers haha) would be welcome!

@pezhed we sound like kindred spirits. Nothing better than letting them loose in someone else's yard (or even your own!) and kicking back with a beer. Love your "it's a treat for them, not for me" approach, maybe I can extend it to "it's a snack for them, not for me" as wellβ¦.
@Zaxa2021 We can be in it together. 4 year old and 2.5 year old here and "What? Why??!!!" seems to be our way of life some days. As a SAHM, you must be an absolute saint! I don't know how you do it every day!

Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies β I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, itβs taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 β I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info π. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

11/11 β 131.4 I dreamt that I got up to 138. I think that is a clue that I need to get back together. The one thing I am doing well is I am walking almost every day. Today, at little over 5.5 miles before posting here. Yesterday 5 miles, and the day before I walked with hubby so 1.75. Today will be a day of no eating out, or entertaining, or eating leftovers. I should be able to do ONE well tracked day.

Slowly undoing the weekend away at DD house.Heavy on our minds this week is the birthday party / anniversary party we are throwing for my parents. Not a lot of work, but still a bit stressful. 11/08 - 192.6/4,640/4 - I got the uptick I expected yesterday this morning. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back down. I get to go out and shovel this morning so that the front walk doesnβt get icy. I enjoyed watching the snow all day yesterday. Today I will be going out first to shovel then for a walk around the bock in the cold fresh air.

I am an emotional eater, Yesterday my dd was supposed to come home for a few days and I was really looking forward to seeing her. By lunch time I hadnβt heard from her so I knew that she wasn't coming, at 2 I finally heard from her and she said she couldnβt come up, the excuse didnβt sound right so I know it was really the boyfriend who didnβt want her to leave. I finished off the Halloween candy plus had caramel popcorn and sprite while watching a movie. Today is a new day and I am going to move forward from this. I have got to learn a new way of dealing with my emotions. I am getting better in that I'm down to only 1 day instead of a week but still.

11/12 - 192.6/7,277/27 - no change in weight but I did blow my step goal away. I took the time to walk to the grocery store instead of getting in my car. Today I am going to look for ways I can increase my steps.
11/13 - 192.4/2,985/4 - weight seems to be steady. My step count was not good at all. Just didn't feel good yesterday. Started with a headache early in the day. I ended up in bed by 7pm. Way too early but I needed it. Thankfully today is a new day and another chance to course correct.

@pezhed and @evivahealth thanks for the camaraderie. My little guys are disabled (genetic disorder). We guess they have the mentality of around 2 year olds. They seem to be in a phase that's a weird combination of a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Plus they have speech and physical problems (walking), which just makes everything more complicated. Life is chaos right now. Kids are hard.

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track. So hello everyone. Iβm 67 π€ͺand lost 40 lbs during Covid and became vegan as well and also gave up alcohol, so I guess I could say Covid provided gave me a kickstart to look after my health. Iβve kept the weight off, up and down a few either way. Iβd love to lose the last 20 lbs I never did.

11/8-136-Played Pickel ball and rode the horse (short nap required) would have made it down a pound, but baked a chicken for dinner and had some of that while fresh. Horse and yard work today, some quilting added to that.
11/9-135-Worked in the garage yesterday and will finish it today. Someone was talking about trying to organize one area of their house/life and see 20 other things that need attention. I find it hard to keep up with all of my quilting projects, yard projects while every room in the house needs attention. Meanwhile, I need to get our house/yard ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I absolutely have got to make lists just to survive.
11/10-135-Glad to stay here after a big tablespoon of peanut butter yesterday when I wanted a snack. Made a big list of what needs to get done, and a list of four things that I will work on for 15 minutes daily. Hopefully I can get caught up doing it like that.

Iβm not upset this morningβ¦ Iβm even more committed as it proves that my self-discipline can disappear at any moment. POOF! GONE! I will consciously avoid any temptation for the remainder of #318 & #319. I know that moderation is key, but Iβve been on this journey long enough to know that Iβve been giving too much lip service and choosing to not buckle down and staying firm to my ultimate BHAG (decision). It starts with getting a grip on my thought patterns. ONWARD!

Our dear friend with ALS passed away yesterday. She had an aggressive diagnosis that took her life in under two years. Two years of torture. Never complained. Never lost her sense of humor. She demonstrated pure grace & courage - a shining example of faith & fortitude. I have never witnessed a truer example of this scripture. A reminder to me to NEVER sweat the minutiae or even the big stuff!
Iβm mentioning here because I donβt want to complain or vent β¦ especially about the food I choose to eat or the amount of sleep or not living up to my own personal decisions /expectations or being let down or having a pity party over things that are 100% out of my control. Anyway, this is the sort of job that I hate to start, but am happy to have done, and I always feel lighter afterward. Weβre going out with another couple and booking a babysitter tonight so I donβt have great expectations for the next couple of days. So naturally, I expected an amazing loss on the scale today LOL. Weird, weight loss doesn't happen from ONE DAY of compliance. Planning to keep it up! I have book club tonight so will need to be hyperaware! (Side note - just read Heart the Lover by Lily King. I read it in 2 days it was so good!)
11/12 - 130.2 ππ»ββοΈπ Book club didn't go great last night, ended up 1000 calories over. People brought such good snacks! Next month I think I won't eat dinner and will just plan on book club snacks being dinner, especially since our book this month is a memoir by a chef and it will be in the midst of the holidays. I did a Peloton ride yesterday. Today I think my workout will just be walking the dogs since the weather warmed up and I can take them on a longer one. I have to take a strength test to finish up a strength program I did on Peloton but I think I'll wait until I have a better night of sleep under my belt and do that one tomorrow.
11/13 - 130.6 ππ»ββοΈπ«πThree days in a row of tracking has to be a recent record, and the data explains why my weight is doing what it is. I had 405 calories in candy yesterday. 405!!! I'm only allotted 1,220 per day for weight loss. The day before, I consumed 1,000 calories at book club. That was after dinner.
On the strength side, I just completed my strength test for the Peloton strength program I completed. It was just doing front-loaded dumbbell squats for a minute and then push-ups for a minute (I did modified for the 1st and the final test) and counting reps. Between weeks 1 and 4 of the program, I saw 18% increase in my squats and 35% increase in my push-ups! I'm blown away. So while the scale may not show that I've been successful lately, my strength is. Woohoo!

11/8: 162.0 Went out for Mexican food last night, so really happy to see a drop! Was mindful of my choices and quantities, just had a couple chips with queso, a skinny margarita, and then portioned off a much smaller serving of steak fajitas, rice, and beans without the tortillas. I probably can get 3 more serving of the fajitas as leftovers! Happy to have safely navigated one of my favorite places without resorting back to old habits of overindulging!
11/9: 161.8 Beyond exhausted. Today is my only "real" off day of the week and I loaded it with a planned brunch with friends and then to race home to clean my house before my daughter's music lesson in the afternoon. Woke up and canceled both! Then DoorDashed Starbucks as a reward and am still very happily in bed. My Starbucks order fits into my allotted breakfast calories, so no derailment there. I'm staying in PJs all day and will eventually clean my house (but on a relaxed timeline - not in a rush) and will make family dinner tonight but definitely sending my husband on the grocery run. I have a big day at work tomorrow and this relaxing reset is needed.
11/10: DNW Up way too early before my normal weigh in time, so skipped it but tracked and was in a deficit.
11/11: 161.0 How are we halfway through this round, time is flying!! Today is a difficult calorie day to navigate, out with friends this evening, will just try to do the best I can, but it's a wine and cheese tasting, so making smart choices isn't an option, so will just have to focus on portion control.
11/12 DNW Was up and out the door much to early, so did not weigh in. Had a great time at the wine & cheese event, they only give super small tastes of the cheeses, which helped with not overindulging food wise, but definitely overindulged a little on the wine.

I got kicked off my exercise bike last night after 22 minutes by my son, but thatβs okay because he definitely needs to lose weight more than me. While he did his spinning I made our 9:30 pm dinner then read 3 chapters of my book club book (meeting is Monday). Iβm a little behind on the reading. I also got some house cleaning in which got me up off my retired derriere. I mainly worked on the 2nd floor so there were lots of extra stairs yesterday. The 2nd floor mainly belongs to my DGS and he will be back tomorrow to nice smelling freshly washed sheets and blankets and all his crumbs vacuumed up. He will be turning 8 on November 29th s so he is still at an age where he appreciates everything. Those teenage years arenβt here yet!

I did have an extra small snack last night but then got back on exercise bike for another 30 minutes (for a total of 75 minutes). You canβt outride the fork. Meals were on target and I got in lots of extra steps and movement with more housecleaning and organizing. This is a shock and a disappointment. Bad sleep (again) probably played into this as well. The neuropathy has been horrible in my feet the last few nights and there is just no getting past it. My fitbit readiness level showed 18 out of 100 today which is very low. DD and DGS will be back later this afternoon. We also have the book fair at 6:00 pm at school for DGS.

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, itβs taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 β I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info π. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

11/10 139.6 (trend 140.7) loving this number, going to really try hard not to sabotage it THIS time! Managed to get in a 5 mile walk yesterday morning before we travelled home. Just noticed - what on earth happened to my post yesterday? Put it right in this one!! Have a good Monday & week folks.
11/11 139.6 (trend 140.6) 9 miles walked yesterday.
11/12 139.2 (trend 140.4) 7.87 miles walked.
11/13 139.2 (trend 140.2) less than 4 miles walked yesterday and all around the shops; the rain was in for the day, so we took the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping.
11/14 139.2 (trend 140.1) 9.49 miles walked. Doubt that will be able to get out today due to Storm ClaudiaβΉ.

11/7 β 130.2 Did not expect a down as I did not track well yesterday. Did do the 6.5 mile walk, my first walk in months. Definitely feeling some pain, but that happens with jumping in fast.
11/8 β 131.0 Tracking not happening, but I again got in a walk, 4.5 miles. If I can re-establish exercise this round, that would be wonderful.

11/11 β 131.4 I dreamt that I got up to 138. I think that is a clue that I need to get back together. The one thing I am doing well is I am walking almost every day. Today, at little over 5.5 miles before posting here. Yesterday 5 miles, and the day before I walked with hubby so 1.75. Today will be a day of no eating out, or entertaining, or eating leftovers. I should be able to do ONE well tracked day.
11/12 β 130.2 Choices were better yesterday, though not entered into my tracker. The negative to all the walking I am suddenly doing, I am in pain 24/7. Sad because that did not used to be the case, and it just tells me the fitness I have lost and need to get back.
11/13 β 130.6 No walking yesterday. Food choices decent, but not tracked.
11/14 β 131.6 Jumps in weight that day after pasta has been standard for me. Walked 6.5 miles, ate βokβ, but not tracked. Tonight is our for pizza with friends.
